Mrigadayavan Palace

Mrigadayavan Palace

3.6
4.4/5
385 reviews
By the beach in Hua Hin, there stands a fresh and elegant palace—its pale yellow pillars and light blue walls bring a sense of tranquility to those who wander through. It has a romantic name—"Mrigadayavan Palace", but the story behind it ends in regret. The rise of Hua Hin is closely linked to King Rama VI of Thailand. He built this palace in the hope that his beloved consort would bear him a little prince. However, it was not to be. After the consort gave birth to a little princess, King Rama VI left Thailand and never returned. His younger nephew succeeded him as King Rama VII. Today, only this palace remains as an eternal memory. Walking down a long path, you will see an inconspicuous little green door, which is the entrance. It lacks the golden splendor one expects of a palace, offering instead the elegant tranquility of a private courtyard.Cha-am · 11.2km from downtown

Connected to Hua Hin, Cha Am is a seaside resort on the east coast of Thailand, with its wide, uninterrupted bay forming a graceful arc. The beach here is wide and sandy, and the calm blue waters look very clean. The secluded and leisure beach is compared to Hua Hin. Cha Am is quieter and less tourists. Usually, families or students from Bangkok come here for vacation and parties on weekends and holidays. If you start from Bangkok, you can reach Cha-am in about two or three hours by car; it is more convenient to travel from Hua Hin, which only takes half an hour by car. You may wish to spend half a day or a day here for a leisurely holiday. Cozy vacation time Under the blue sky, the clean and fine white sand of the sunny beach is soft and charming, and often only a few people in swimsuits stroll on it. You can find a beach bench to soak up the sun, buy a drink to clear your mind, sit under a sugar palm tree and enjoy seafood, or experience simple entertainment such as a banana boat, all at relatively affordable prices. Abundant seafood delicacies Every February, Cha Am celebrates the harvest of the local seafood delicacy blue crab, when food stalls, concerts and even neon parties gather along the waterfront. In September, there is a festival of "eating shellfish, watching seabirds, and catching squid". Surrounding Activities In addition to the quiet beaches, there are a series of interesting attractions around Cha Am that are worth visiting together. There is a Palace of Love and Hope near Hua Hin Beach. You can reminisce the touching story of King Rama VI in this fresh and graceful royal palace, enjoy photos and cultural relics of the Thai royal family, and the sea view is also superb. Santorini Park is an emerging theme park in Cha-am, located on the essential traffic road between Bangkok and Hua Hin. It is characterized by a strong Mediterranean style, and as soon as you enter the park, you will see a super-style blue and white Greek town. There are not only romantic amusement facilities in the park, but also many small and fresh shops. There is a Swiss Sheep Ranch a few minutes' drive from Santorini Park, which is also a good place to take pictures. In addition to sheep, there are also cute animals such as ponies and alpacas, which are very suitable for children who are still young. friend.Cha-am · 2km from downtown

If you love to take pictures, please come to Hua Hin Sheep Farm, the park is not big, but you can take pictures everywhere. You can take wedding photos here. There are many buses from Bangkok to Hua Hin, which is the place for the Royal Thai vacation. From the manor, it takes 10 minutes to drive to Hua Hin seaside. There are few people, beautiful scenery and quiet. The signboard is the Swiss Sheep Ranch. The pasture is empty, and there is Swiss feel. The environment decoration design is quite European, suitable for couples to play. It is full of small European-style bungalows, carrying a group of lambs on their backs. It is worth mentioning that there are several swans on the lake.Cha-am · 3.4km from downtown

It is a theme park integrating ecological conservation and entertainment facilities. It is also one of the few water jungle theme parks in Asia. It is very close to Hua Hin city and has convenient transportation. The environment of the park is built according to the original tropical rainforest, with various thrilling slides buried in the woods, making it feel like flying through the jungle. The Abyss slide is 28 meters high, like a big trumpet. It can carry 6 people at a time and experience the falling speed of 45 kilometers per hour, which is extremely exciting. When the Boomerango slide slides down, it will pass by the 31-meter-high man-made waterfall Vana Nava Falls, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular scenery along the way. △Thrilling rides △ Various beach wave simulators △ Family funHua Hin · 29.7km from Cha-am

The park has nine types of slides, suitable for visitors of all ages. The park also has a spectacular wave pool, lazy river, beach pool and children's pool. Hua Hin means stone in Thai, and you can understand its meaning when you come to this beach. Hua Hin's beaches are not as fine as those of the outlying islands, and the water may not have an amazing jelly color, but the beautiful scenery of blue sea and white sand here is popular with the Thai royal family. Ride a white horse and walk along the beach to Hua Hin Beach If you don't ride a horse and walk back and forth along the beach, then you lose a lot of fun. It is definitely an unforgettable experience for a horse trainer to lead a horse and take a leisurely walk in the sea breeze. When you come to the beach, you will see grooms attracting tourists. The price is 300B per person, which is worth a try. For a leisurely vacation, you can rent a beach chair on the beach to lie down for half a day, or even have a barbecue on the beach. After lying down enough, pick up some small mussel shells and put them in a glass bottle as a souvenir. The small shells show a peacock blue light. When other beaches in Thailand only provide those bizarre adult programs, Hua Hin has always been Keeping it calm and graceful, it's captivating.Hua Hin · 25.6km from Cha-am

If you travel to Hua Hin, Thailand, you must visit this place. The Marukataiyawan Palace was built by King Rama VI in 1923 in the hope that his wife would give birth to a little prince. However, his wish did not come true. After his wife gave birth to a little princess, King Rama VI immigrated to Switzerland. King Rama VII was succeeded by his youngest nephew, and now only this palace is left as a permanent memory.

Truly a remarkable experience, Huge area with a lot of beautiful old ancient buildings and the ruins. Highly recommend for couples and tourists who wish to take a photos especially bring a photographer to do it better. Take train up to Kheha and then take a taxi ( will cost you around 100 thb). Inside the ancient city - take the tramp, cart or e bike all are good options and don’t do it by walk. At least keep 5-6 hours for this and a good camera is so essential.
