La'aloa Beach Park is a renowned surfing destination in Hawaii, drawing crowds of surf enthusiasts. The sand atWaikīkī Beachwas actually brought in by humans, while the sand here is naturally formed and incredibly soft. It is also the only fine white sand beach in the Kailua-Kona area. When storms hit, they wash away the white sand on the shore, earning it the nickname the vanishing beach. The waves here can be quite large, so please prioritize your safety if you are not a strong swimmer.Kahaluu-Keauhou · 12km from Captain Cook

This was a place of refuge in ancient Hawaii and is one of Hawaii's sacred historical attractions. Stroll through the park, take a self-guided tour with a map, and admire the beautiful scenery, including the great wall that is 3m high and 5m thick. On clear nights, the park is filled with brilliant starlight, making it a great spot for night views and a very romantic destination.Hawaii island · 10km from Captain Cook

- Fine White Sand: Boasting one of the few white sand beaches on the Big Island, the sand is soft and fine, a stark contrast to the common black volcanic rock beaches. - Calm Waters: A coral reef near the shore effectively reduces waves, making the water relatively calm, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and bodyboarding, and very family-friendly. - "Turtle Beach": This is a frequent haunt and resting place for green sea turtles (Honu). With luck, you might spot them on the beach or in the shallow water.

Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park on Hawaii’s Big Island is a remarkable site that preserves the cultural and spiritual heritage of ancient Hawaii. Known as the “Place of Refuge,” it once offered sanctuary to those who broke sacred laws, providing a powerful glimpse into traditional Hawaiian life. Visitors can explore well-preserved temples (heiau), royal grounds, and ancient fishponds while learning about Hawaiian customs and history. The park’s coastal setting offers stunning ocean views, tide pools, and snorkeling opportunities nearby. With its combination of cultural significance, historical insight, and natural beauty, Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau offers a meaningful and immersive Hawaiian experience.

When we arrived at Wonderland Farm, the weather was very good, with clear blue skies and no clouds. The farm was quite large, with many plants and a coffee plantation, but there were not many tourists.

Kealakekua Bay has a sea-sky scenery. There are white and clean beaches, and the azure blue water and blue sky form a beautiful color-free scene. Seagulls fly by from time to time. It is a very pleasant place.
