Grand World Phu Quoc

4.5/5
592 reviews
Grand World Phu Quoc is located in the northwest of Phu Quoc Island. This open-themed entertainment district covers approx. 85 hectares and opened in 2021. Known as the "city that never sleeps" for its brightly lit streets and vibrant nightlife, it features European-style palaces and colorful commercial buildings lining the streets. Markets, dining, and performances continue from daytime into late night, making visitors feel like they're exploring a miniature city bathed in perpetual light. Several landmarks are worth a special visit: the love lake, modeled after Venice's waterways, features an approx. 400 m long artificial canal where gondolas glide past colorful European-style buildings accompanied by impromptu singing; the "bamboo legend" serves as the park's welcoming gateway, with tens of thousands of hand-woven bamboo strands forming a massive dome that incorporates traditional Vietnamese motifs like lotuses and bronze drums through intricate cutouts—the entire structure is assembled without iron nails, showcasing remarkably rare craftsmanship. The donut-shaped teddy bear museum displays hundreds of teddy bears in various designs, featuring fun photo spots and interactive exhibition areas, especially popular among family-friendly visitors; the Vietnamese essence district, modeled after Hoi An ancient town, hosts daytime street performances like costume parades and gate-changing ceremonies, while transforming into the grand live show "Essence of Vietnam" with sound, light, and special effects after dark. Pham Ngu Lao

798 reviews
When it comes to Ho Chi Minh City, no one is unaware of Pham Ngu Lao. Named after the Vietnamese national hero Pham Ngu Lao, the old street is just an ordinary road. What we commonly refer to as the old street is actually an area comprising Pham Ngu Lao and several surrounding roads, a paradise for backpackers. Here, the streets crisscross, with hotels of various grades and budget hostels scattered throughout the neighborhood. Along the roadside, you'll find a wide array of travel agencies, foreign currency redemption locations, restaurants of diverse cuisines, Western eateries, bars, cafes, and shops selling local specialty products—everything you could need. This is the old quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, where the daily life of ordinary people unfolds vividly before your eyes. Travelers of all skin colors can be seen here—some carrying backpacks while searching for accommodation on the streets, others strolling around after setting down their packs, and still others capturing the moment with their cameras. In short, every expression of a backpacker you'd hope to see can be found here. Meal Restaurants from around the world offer a rich variety of flavors. Here you can taste local snacks, and the delicious food from nearby street stalls is no less impressive than that of upscale restaurants. No wonder this place never sleeps—you can always find something tasty even in the middle of the night. You can try the coconut milkshake at Allez Boo, a blend of coconut juice, ice cubes, and milk, and even scoop out the coconut flesh with a small spoon. Alternatively, head to the eatery at the end of the old street for a bowl of beef meatball rice noodles paired with iced coffee—the unique taste is something only you can experience. Or, order a steamed beer crab at some obscure little shop; its thick, tender meat practically melts in your mouth, with an intoxicatingly fresh and sweet flavor. Don't miss the roadside rice skin snacks, available in various flavors—crispy and delicious. And for the girls, there's a variety of ice creams to enjoy, perfectly complemented by tropical fruits. Nightlife The midnight in the old quarter is even more brilliant with lights, and the night is enchanting. The shops on the old street are also the main shopping spots in Ho Chi Minh City. There are many tourist crafts here, allowing you to stroll slowly at night and carefully pick. At night, many sleepless backpackers come out to wander, looking for cafes, snack shops, and juice stalls, making it very lively.Ho Chi Minh City · 85.9km from Cai Be
Thoi Son Island

Thoi Son Island

Cu Lao Thoi Son, Attractive Garden Ecotourism Area Tien Giang is a province with strengths in garden eco-tourism in the Mekong Delta region. Among them, Thoi Son island with its typical ecosystem of the Western river region is a Tien Giang tourist destination not to be missed. Thoi Son island, also known as Lan island, located in Thoi Hoa hamlet, Thoi Son commune, My Tho city, Tien Giang province, is considered the precious gem of the Tien River. Covering the entire dune is an immense green color, with an intricate system of ditches and canals, fertile land, and luxuriant fruit trees in all four seasons, making it an ideal tourist destination in the West. Thoi Son Islet is the largest of the four dunes on this section of the river, with an area of about 1,200 hectares, and is considered the most harmonious of the Four Sacred Cones (Long - Lan - Quy - Phung). Although located on the same river, Thoi Son Islet and Tan Long Islet (Long Islet) belong to My Tho city, Tien Giang province; Quy and Phung islands belong to Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province. According to history, Cu Lao Thoi Son - My Tho is also the land associated with the spring event of 1785, the cloth-shirted hero Nguyen Hue achieved a glorious victory, destroying 50,000 Siamese invaders. During the resistance war against the imperialists, Con Thoi Son marked the victories of the Western army and people with a battle belt surrounding the Dong Tam base, creating the once famous Binh Duc victory. Previously, the people of Con Thoi Son mainly lived by fishing and aquaculture, along with growing fruit trees in rotation, producing many delicious fruits such as: longan, sapoke, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, durian, bananas, jackfruit, mango... Later, people on the dune developed beekeeping for honey, some households also made puff cakes, rice paper, coconut candy, jam, handicraft items... to serve customers. Come to Tien Giang to visit and learn.. The name Con Thoi Son also has an ancient house, with typical Southern architecture, with three rooms and two wings, yin-yang tiled roofs, and columns made of precious wood. Inside the house, the decoration is also in the ancient style with a sparkling mother-of-pearl altar cabinet, exquisitely carved sofas, and a pair of tureens carved with parallel sentences painted in red and gilded gold. In front of the house there is a yard planted with ornamental plants that are meticulously manicured, surrounded by a cool green garden..Thoi Son · 30.6km from Cai Be

Thom island is located in the Quan Dao An Thoi and is the largest island in this archipelago. Legend has it that in the early days, the island was covered with pineapple plants and filled with the fragrance of fruit, so it is also often called Pineapple Island. Once on the island, you can visit Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park, which features a water park with a wave pool, lazy river, and large water slides. For visitors who prefer to stay dry, the land-based amusement area offers a wooden roller coaster and a slowly rotating Eagle Eye observation tower. Beyond the modern facilities, the island still retains its charming natural character. The Kirin Cape area is perfect for snorkeling and exploring the colorful underwater world of coral. The island is also surrounded by a mangrove ecosystem, where exposed tidal flats and winding waterways at low tide create a serene natural landscape.Vietnam · Phu Quoc Island

Mui Ne Fishing Village

4.4/5
263 reviews
Mui Ne Fishing Village is a fishing port on the coast of Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Vietnam, that is still in operation today. It is both a fishing village and an open, sandy beach. The bay has calm waters, and fishing boats of various sizes and colors are anchored there year-round. Looking out from the high ground on the shore, the dense cluster of boats looks like a handful of toys scattered on the water. You can also often see the round, woven bamboo basket boats unique to the coast of Vietnam along the beach, which create a very recognizable scene. Walk down the stone steps to the seaside, and you will be greeted by the sea breeze. To see the fishing village, you should go early: fishermen mostly go out to sea at night and return with full loads around sunrise. Fishing boats dock one after another, and the catch is spread directly on the beach for sorting and sale. Women are busy around baskets of fish and shrimp, and the entire beach becomes an open-air seafood morning market. Most of the catch is sold to nearby seafood stalls. In the evening, when the fishing activities subside and the beach becomes quiet, watching the sunset paint the sea red is equally pleasant.Vietnam · Phan Thiet

The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is a French colonial post office built in the 19th century. The exterior of the Post Office resembles an elaborate train station. Wherever you look, everything is intricately designed and decorated. The dates of the Post Office's construction (1886-1891) are inscribed beneath the large clock over the main entrance. Walk into the Post Office and you'll find a spacious lobby with a classically arching ceiling, round windows, hanging chandeliers, and stunningly gorgeous wall lamps, among other decorative features. Beneath the old map on the wall, there are classic phone booths from which you can make international calls. While visiting the Central Post Office, consider mailing a postcard home.Ho Chi Minh City · 87.3km from Cai Be

Yongchang Temple was built in the early 19th century, with a history of more than 100 years, in the city of Mei Tuo not far from Saigon. Yongchang Temple is one of the local temples, where the body of monks for hundreds of years is enshrined in the temple. In addition, Buddha statues are also enshrined in the hall, and giant statues of Maitreya and Guanyin are also enshrined in the courtyard. In terms of architectural style, Yongchang Temple seems to follow the traditional cultural characteristics of Hindu temples. The buildings are bright and lively, with many flower decorations and light weight. Its appearance can be described as splendid and magnificent. The 60 precious wooden statues enshrined in the temple are known as fine works of art carved in the early 20th century. My Phong · 36km from Cai Be

Ben Thanh Market is an indoor market with over a century of history and is considered by many to be one of the city's symbols. The market's main entrance faces south, and the clock tower on its facade, paired with the roundabout in front, is an iconic image of the place and a popular backdrop for tourists to stop and take photos. The entire building features French colonial style, while stepping inside reveals a bustling local atmosphere: fabrics, ready-to-wear clothing, ao dai, handicrafts like wood carvings, lacquerware, and embroidered wallets, as well as Vietnamese specialties like coffee beans, dried fruits, and fish sauce, can all be found in various sections, making it perfect for browsing and shopping at a leisurely pace. For authentic Vietnamese flavors, head toward the market's north gate, where food stalls serving pho, broken rice, and various desserts are concentrated. After dark, rows of stalls light up the streets around the market, transforming it into a lively night market.Ho Chi Minh City · 86.7km from Cai Be

White Sand Dunes

4.4/5
282 reviews
White Sand Dunes is one of the more attractive landscapes in Mui Ne, and it is more spectacular than the Red Sand Dunes, making it well worth a visit. The boundless sand dunes rise and fall, stretching endlessly and outlining elegant curves, resembling a miniature desert; on the other side of the dunes, there is a hidden freshwater lake surrounded by greenery, a landscape of half sand and half water that is rare in this region. This is also a great place to watch the sunrise. If you plan to watch a magnificent desert sunrise, be sure to check the weather forecast in advance and avoid going on cloudy days. Walk slowly on the soft, fine sand toward the high ground, and the view will open up, offering a panoramic view of the nearby lake and oasis.Vietnam · Hoa Thang

We bought a combo ticket for the Teddy Bear Museum and a Venice gondola ride. The Teddy Bear Museum wasn't as big as we expected, and we finished our visit quickly. The museum also has a children's playground, where the kids played for quite a while, while adults could sit and relax. The Venice gondola ride itself only took about 20 minutes. The gondoliers were very helpful, taking photos for us. Although we didn't speak the language, their service was excellent!

Instagrammable clear water, this spot is for you. The Sun World Hon Thom Cable Car is the wildest way to get here—world’s longest sea cable ride with epic ocean views all the way. Pack light, there are lockers onsite and snack stalls if cravings hit!Personal Tips:Don’t just stick to the main beach—walk a bit for quieter coves (super chill for a swim!). Water shoes are clutch for shellier parts, and if you’re keen on snorkeling, bring your own mask (the rental quality is hit or miss). Visit right after morning opening for fewer crowds and glowy light for photos.Getting Around:Grab a taxi or rent a motorbike to the An Thoi cable car station. From there, it’s a breezy 20-minute ride to island bliss! On Phu Quoc, motorbikes are cheap, but taxis are great if you want max chill.

There are many intricately carved Buddha statues, Bodhisattva statues and carved decorations in the temple. There are also several large Buddha statues of Maitreya, Reclining Buddha and Guanyin Bodhisattva in the courtyard outside the temple. It is said that the flesh of hundreds of years old monks is also enshrined in the temple🙏🏻. There are many bougainvilleas planted in the temple. When I went there, it was in bloom. Sitting on a chair under the blooming bougainvilleas, I was very satisfied with the portraits I took😌.

Ben Thanh Market is a lively and colorful place to experience the local atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City. I enjoyed walking through the busy stalls selling souvenirs, clothes, coffee, spices, and Vietnamese food. The market can be crowded, but that is part of its charm. It is a great place to try local snacks, shop for gifts, and experience the energetic spirit of Saigon.
