New Zealand has many lakes, most of which are surrounded by mountains, with winding coastlines, clear water and pleasant scenery. It is an excellent tourist destination. Lake Pukaki, located in the central part of the South Island, is worth visiting for its four unique features. First, the lake is rich in rock particles and minerals. Under the sunlight, it reflects a unique blue color, which is dreamy and attractive, and has the reputation of "Blue Milk Lake". Second, the lakeside is the best place to overlook Mount Cook. When the weather is fine, standing on the south bank of Lake Pukaki, the Southern Alps on the north bank 55 kilometers away are clearly visible, and the highest peak is Mount Cook. Third, the lifelike Tahr sheep statue. The Tahr sheep, native to the Himalayas, lives between high mountain cliffs. It is a first-class protected animal in my country and is listed as a "near endangered" animal in the world. In 1904, a British man brought five Tahr sheep to the South Island. Because they had no natural enemies, Tahr sheep thrived in the Cook Range and became the favorite hunting animal for European and American hunters to hunt in New Zealand. In 2014, people erected a handsome and mighty Tahr sheep statue on the shore of Lake Pukaki to commemorate the contributions of relevant people in protecting Tahr sheep worldwide. Taking a photo with the statue is the only choice for all tourists. Fourth, on the south bank of Lake Pukaki, there is a Mount Cook salmon farm. The salmon produced is firm and tender, cheap and good quality. Many food lovers come here to taste and buy.

Located beside the fairy-like Lake Pukaki, it is the freshest, purest and most pollution-free salmon, which is the closest to the quality of wild salmon. 100g is priced at 10 New Zealand dollars, and 500g is 38 New Zealand dollars. You must eat it.

A very unique steamship, still providing excellent service despite being over a century old. There are Chinese staff on board, and the buffet restaurant on the other side is quite good. Enjoy a relaxed and pleasant time in Queenstown.

One of the most unforgettable experiences of our New Zealand trip! 🇳🇿❤️ The moment we sailed through Milford Sound, we were surrounded by towering mountains, beautiful waterfalls, and breathtaking scenery everywhere we looked. It was one of those moments when you just put your phone down for a second and take it all in. Nature is truly amazing, and Milford Sound is even more beautiful in person. Definitely an experience we’ll always remember! ✨⛰️

“everyone says New Zealand is so expensive you have to save for ages to go 🇳🇿 I went on a 7-day, 6-night trip around the South Island After tallying the costs, it is indeed expensive, but not as absurd as I imagined 💸 First, be upfront: where the money goes Excluding shopping, about 18,000 per person covers the trip (including flights, visa, car rental, accommodation, and activities) In the low season 15,000 can also work Book round-trip flights early; you can get them for just over 5,000 Car rental split among 4 people is just over 1,000 per person Stay in a homestay or motel depending on your budget What really costs is paid activities and flights and hotels Mountains, rivers, lakes, and the sea are all free 🏔️ How to do 7 days without overspending Day 1 Christchurch arrival Pick up the car, walk around the botanic gardens to beat jet lag, don’t pack the day too full Day 2 Christchurch → Lake Tekapo About a 3-hour drive, arrive at the Church of the Good Shepherd in the afternoon At night look up to see the Milky Way with the naked eye; the dark sky reserve isn’t called that for nothing Day 3 Lake Tekapo → Mount Cook About a 1-hour drive, the Hooker Valley Track is a 3-hour return walk with no difficulty When you reach the glacial lake the snow-capped mountain looks so close you could almost touch it Day 4 Mount Cook → Lake Pukaki → Wanaka Lake Pukaki is an even more milky Tiffany blue than Tekapo, perfect for photos right from the parking lot In Wanaka stare at that lone tree for a while and you’ll understand Day 5 Wanaka → Queenstown About an hour to Queenstown, take the Skyline Gondola up the hill At sunset the whole of Lake Wakatipu turns into an orange sea, and riding e-scooters is great stress relief Day 6 Queenstown → Glenorchy Lord of the Rings filming locations, Paradise Road, the Seven Trees Ride a horse into movie scenery, then come back in the afternoon for skydiving or a fjord cruise Day 7 return the car in Queenstown and fly home Food, in short The venison burger at Fergburger in Queenstown is bigger than your face and so juicy it drips from your hands The salmon at the Pukaki salmon farm has a natural creaminess and no fishy taste Patagonia’s chocolate ice cream is so milky you’ll want to lick the spoon Supermarket ingredients are great, motels usually have kitchens, and cooking for yourself can save more than half 🍔 A few sincere reminders Get your visa at least 1 month in advance, don’t procrastinate Don’t take chances with customs declarations; never bring fruit or meat, fines start at NZ$400 Right-hand drive, drive on the left.”@JetsetterJourney! · 28 days ago
