Sainte-Cecile Cathedral of Albi

Sainte-Cecile Cathedral of Albi and the adjacent Palais de la Berbie are two of Albi's most famous ancient buildings. Sainte-Cecile Cathedral of Albi was first built in the 4th century and serves as the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Albi. After being destroyed by fire in the 7th century, it was restored in 920 AD. During the 12th–14th centuries, it was rebuilt as a Romanesque stone church, becoming a medieval Gothic-style building.
