Congost de Mont-rebei is one of Europe’s most breathtaking natural gorges, where dramatic limestone cliffs rise sharply above turquoise waters of the Noguera Ribagorçana River. This untouched canyon, straddling Catalonia and Aragón, feels wild and timeless, with no roads cutting through its heart. Narrow footpaths carved into sheer rock faces offer thrilling walks and unforgettable views at every turn. Kayaking through the gorge reveals its immense scale from below, adding a sense of adventure. Peaceful, raw, and visually stunning, Congost de Mont-rebei is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers, and anyone seeking a powerful escape into unspoiled landscapes.

I took photos of the Sagrada Familia at dawn and sunset from the hotel. My reservation for the Sagrada Familia was for evening, and I also booked a ticket to climb the tower, but it felt a bit overpriced because it wasn't fully finished yet; there was construction everywhere, and the view of Barcelona from the top of the tower was quite limited. The interior of the Sagrada Familia is truly breathtaking, like a fantasy world, futuristic and fantastical. Being inside feels like God is from another world, a highly advanced civilization. The rose windows display a mottled array of colors; the Nativity façade on the east side is bathed in a cool blue-green light in the morning, while the Passion façade on the west side is bathed in warm orange-red light in the evening, constantly changing with the sunlight, a testament to the wonder of light and shadow. In the evening, the sunlight streams through the rose windows on the west side, filling the hall with orange-yellow light. The stone columns, like giant trees reaching for the sky, create a fantastical forest. Looking up at the sky, the branches of the columns intertwine to form chrysanthemums, blooming across the heavens. The Sagrada Familia is definitely worth a visit to experience Gaudí's fantastical artistry. The Sagrada Família is the soul of Barcelona, Spain. It is an unfinished World Heritage site that Gaudí poured 43 years of his heart and soul into. Construction began in 1882, and the Jesus Christ Tower (172.5 meters) was completed in February 2026. On June 10, the Pope presided over the consecration ceremony, making it the tallest church tower in the world.

It's best to go for photos when the sun is shining. They offer free audio guides with headphones, which is very convenient. They even have Chinese-language audio guides available. You can see the Sagrada Familia from the rooftop. Pretty good.

A hidden gem in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. This museum offers an exceptional exhibition from beginning to end and is truly a must-see. While Picasso's masterpieces are the main attraction, the temporary and featured exhibitions are equally impressive. The museum is beautifully curated, and the admission fee is very reasonable, making it one of the best cultural experiences I have ever had.

The Palau de la Música Catalana (Palace of Music in Catalonia), a work by Louis Domenech Montaner, Gaudí's teacher; and the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site (Hospital Sant Pau, built a century ago). Both are must-see attractions in Barcelona, and I highly recommend buying a combined ticket, which is much cheaper than buying them separately. The Palau de la Música Catalana requires a pre-booked time slot, while the Hospital Sant Pau allows for flexible scheduling.
