Great location with stunning Savannah River views. Spacious room provided comfortable accommodation. However, the elevators were noticeably unclean, and there was no drinking water fountain available. The beverage vending machine was out of order or empty throughout my stay. Despite these inconveniences, the prime position and generous room size balanced the experience.
Perfect spot to rest your head after spending the day in the historic district- it’s quiet, clean and beautiful. A quick walk to the riverfront and a fantastic view of the ships coming through on the river.
Great hotel. You can use the valet parking ($50) or a public parking just across the street ($5).
The hotel is beautiful, cleaning, offers a good breakfast.
I was in Savannah for depositions. If I am being honest, Planters Inn was not my first choice as I usually stay within the Hilton family. But those hotels were all booked. I was a little apprehensive having seen a few bad reviews, but chose Planters Inn because it was the closest to where I needed to be. to be. In hindsight, I am glad the Hilton properties were booked. The hotel has much more character than the other guys. Yes, the property shows its age, but it is well maintained. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I am used to at much higher priced hotels. The staff, however, is what makes the Planters Inn a real gem. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond with a few late-night tasks I needed to complete in preparation for my work the following day. I plan to return to Savannah with my wife in the near future as tourists (I had no real time for sightseeing on his trip), and when I do I will be staying at the Planters Inn.
The location is very nice (right in front of the Savannah River)
Parking is the worst (no free parking even if you stay here.. valet $54, self-parking in the parking lot building is $56 (because it's calculated by the hour)
*If you're going to park, I recommend just parking on the side of the road.. hotel parking is too expensive
Amenities are good.. it's a shame there's no pool...
Room cleaning - seems to be done roughly.. the trash can area is not cleaned (it seems like they only throw away big things..)
Amenities are not filled... one day thread & needle, one day hair cap, one day nothing.. hit or miss
I don't know because I didn't eat here
Ah! Baobab Bar has a good atmosphere and is friendly
Convenient location, very friendly and efficient staff, shuttle bus to domestic departure every 20min from 4:20am within 10min reach. Rooms are comfy, bed soft, temperature well controlled, no noisy A/C, sound insulation of the room itself is good too. A few great bars/restaurant are located not too far (walking distance).
The hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality.
I had a bad experience at one of the current locations.. I left there and came here .. Ashlee was soooo nice upon arrival.. the room was nice and clean I will be staying here again..

Great
GGuest UserThis trip was booked to celebrate a birthday for my niece. The customer service was excellent as all of the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the problem was with the spa service, one of the restaurants (Linger Longer), and construction on the site. My nieces messuage was below average and when asked how her spa service was, she explain that the service she received was below average at best and she was not satisfied. She was compensated by the team that was checking us out at the Spa with half off the service. However, she did not receive the message that she was expecting and was disappointed as this was for her birthday. The second issue was with our dinner at the Linger Longer restaurant. Our appetizer was deliver to us very cold. We informed our server and she apologized and brought us back another appetizer only a couple of minutes before our main course arrived, and the replaced appetizer was only slightly better than the first one they brought out. The main courses consisted for my niece had to be sent back because it tasted sour as if the fish was not fresh. She is not a person that complains much, but the food and the messuage were disappointing, and put a slight damper on her birthday. The last issue was all the construction going on next to where our room was located on the lake view. Because of the construction noise during the day and early morning, it disrupted the piece in that room. I explained this to the front desk and she was very polite and asked if extending our stay for an additional hour would be helpful since we had experienced a few issues with our stay. At this point we had already checked out, so staying an additional hour in the room would not be much of a help, as well as the construction going on. There were good and bad with this stay, as I have explained the problems. However, the lake and the amenities were superb and the courteous staff was fantastic and that helped things from being a failed birthday celebration for my niece.
GGuest UserStaying at this hotel meant paying $30 a night for outdoor parking. The main issue was the outdated payment system; you couldn't just scan and pay. You had to scan a QR code, then enter a US local phone number for verification, which I had to go to the front desk to sort out. The hotel itself is a bit run-down, with grimy glass curtain walls. Room soundproofing is mediocre, the ceiling height feels oppressive, and the facilities don't live up to the Westin brand image—I even had to ask a staff member for slippers. It's just about acceptable for a one-night stopover.

LLorena CNice hotel apartment, across from Civic Center station with underground parking. Very good service from front desk staff. A lovely space with coloring area in the lobby, restaurant are precursor to the apartment: full kitchen, living room, dining area, two tvs, balcony and bedroom, kind of classic Marriott style. But unlike Marriott there were no extra towels, bathrobes, slippers or toiletries beyond soap and shower cap.
The restaurant hours on the key are incorrect. The restaurant closes at 930pm although front desk said only the kitchen closes at 945pm. Anyway the mix up led to none of our interactions with the reticent restaurant's staff for room service. The restaurant takes a daily siesta too, though the key says weekends only. The 12 doesn't let Door Dash come to the apartment, only the lobby. However, 12 Staff will deliver if anyone's available; otherwise you have to go to the lobby.
All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

GGuest UserLots of potential, very hit or miss on service. Property is pretty solid, nice room, clean. There were multiple restaurants, golf courses, a spa and coffee shop on site. Not to mention the tasting room is very nice for Georgia. A couple of really big misses: 1) Versailles is forgettable - avoid if possible. 2) Cafe opened very late on Sunday - maybe 9am due to staff no-show presumably. Overall, the food at the pub and Versailles were average Sysco at best. Marc was fantastic but how many meals are you going to drop $200 a head on? If going back, I’d hit Marc and the Spa restaurant - that was actually a gem. Didn’t get to play golf but my guess is that the two full courses are nice. The par 3 was nice enough based on what I saw on a short walk. Overall, this place has everything needed to be great - seems to suffer from mediocre management.
GGuest UserThe restaurants and food was amazing! The service was good. The hotel is isolated from safe shopping and entertainment in midtown. If there is no event at the stadium or GWCC, and/or the pool isn't an option, there is little to nothing to do during the stay, i.e., live music or jazz at the bar/lounge, or some form of conservative entertainment passtime. In short, the hotel is too great to be so boring. Unless you hate money enough to blow $250-1000 on a massage, there is literally nothing going on there. Just a disappointing reality for such an elite hotel in a prime downtown local. But if you stay, be absolutely sure to take advantage of the food... it is unbelievably great!
GGuest UserThis is a great little pet friendly hotel right off I20. It’s a great value for the price. Breakfast is cold cereal, hot oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, toast with butter and jelly, coffee, packaged muffins, chocolate covered donuts, powdered donuts, and 3 different juices. The pool looks nice and clean, but we didn’t have time to use it. There were a few cosmetic problems that were minor. Things weren’t “pristine” but they were definitely clean, comfortable, and at a very reasonable price. We plan to stay here every time we travel to western Georgia.
GGuest UserBooked a night here only for the beignet, and it’s been removed from the menu. I also had people in the next room blasting music at 3:30am. I called security to report it, they never came had to get up and go down stairs and ask again and finally security came up to quite the guest.
