Hotels With spa in Porto District, Portugal

"Great hotel located literally near Porto airport! Amazing staff who are super helpful at giving suggestions of places to eat and places to visit, spacious rooms and breakfast available. The shuttle is an added bonus as well! Can't fault this hotel and will always come back here! 🇵🇹"

"We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a truly wonderful experience. Special thanks to Spencer for his incredible kindness and professionalism. His attentive service made us feel truly special and elevated our entire trip. It's rare to find someone so dedicated and warm-hearted. We are already looking forward to our next visit because of the amazing memories made here. Thank you so much, Spencer!"

"Hotel location is very high, convenient parking, large space, no dead corner to enjoy the river valley, first-class service facilities, spa 24 hours open. There are a variety of vegetables and fruits in the garden, a variety of small animals, too cute."

"Absolutely incredible hotel, the staff takes great care, from the privileged location to the spa facilities, everything is wonderful. I recommend with your eyes closed for lovers of exclusive places."

"A hidden gem of Porto We stayed here for four nights and felt very happy. This is five star boutique hotel with all the facilities and above all top class services to guests - we have been many five star hotels around world. The Italian owner has talents from interior designing to offering great customer experience with help from his charming and hard working daughter Flavia who was on site supervising /attending to guests everyday and was willing to go extra mile to help. All staff members are professional, attractive with nice smiles. Innes the restaurant manager (?) was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed fabulous breakfast and a wonderful dinner with innovative dishes created/cooked perfectly. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend GA Palace and Spa (lovely spa experience showing high level of attention to detail)."

"- Indoor pool water was cold... - We requested a double bed and ended up with two single beds; - Yogurts expired; - Breakfast drink (Galão) was very watered down."

"I chose this hotel for Christmas alone staycation and looked forward to enjoying the comfort and tranquility in the beauty of Porto. Unfortunately, the initial impression was more like a shrewd business deal than a warm welcome, which greatly undermined the experience. The main problem occurred at check-in. The room assigned to me was hardly matched by the promotional picture. When I expressed disappointment, the front desk told me: “Yes, this is one of the worst rooms with a view,” and the solution he immediately proposed was a paid upgrade. He showed me another room on the same level, the view was acceptable but the bathroom smelled bad. Then he informed that since I stayed for four nights, the upgrade option of €30 per night was not available and I had to pay for a “double upgrade” of €60 per night. The hotel was not full in fact, but he explained on the grounds that ”a room is reserved for holidays”. From that moment on, I was very disappointed, and the whole interaction set the tone for forced sales from the beginning. Also, as a wine-themed hotel, my room didn't even have a wine glass, which required extra requests. Not that everything was terrible. The breakfast was excellent and the spa facilities were really superb. My (upgraded) room view was amazing too. Most of the staff were very attentive. It was these factors that made my rating not lower. However, based on my experience in luxury hotels in Portugal and other countries, this is the first time I have encountered such a rigid, revenue-focused check-in process. Real luxury should feel seamless and generous, and employees should be empowered to create joy for guests. And here, every step seems to be trying to maximize revenue. It's a place with luxury facilities, but in my experience, it lacks the soul of a true hospitality."

"I had such a pleasant trip with my wife, and our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. We arrived early in the morning, as our flight landed around 6 AM, while our check-in time was around 2 PM. The staff were incredibly kind and allowed us to store our luggage so we could explore the city comfortably while waiting for our room. When it was finally time to check in, the service was top-notch. Our room was as clean as it could be, and the view from our window was beautiful. The bed, bathroom, and towels were all spotless and well-maintained. I’m extremely happy with my stay here and would definitely come back to this hotel if I ever visit Porto again. Highly recommended!"

"Very clean and well maintained room. Staff very friendly and polite. Breakfast options very good, hot options were always hot too! Wet areas need improvement - no loungers at indoor pool. Large beanbags for rooftop pool which are great for pure relaxation but not ideal for reading or sitting their with a book. The other chairs were also incredibly uncomfortable."
