The scenery is very beautiful! Stayed for two nights, the hotel had everything you need including a dishwasher, washing machine, and surprisingly, a milk frother! Walking into the bathroom the floor was actually warm! There is a gas heater in the living room. I would like to stay here again next time.
Facilities: The resort has complete facilities, a good environment, and a large golf course. The hotel rooms are average, American style.
Hygiene: The hygiene of New Zealand hotels is good.
Environment: Really good! There are also many foreigners staying here, all of whom come to play golf on vacation.
Service: Not bad!
The room has a double bed and a sofa bed, with an open-plan kitchen fully equipped with a fridge and cooking utensils. The bathroom is a decent size, neither too big nor too small. The hotel has its own parking lot and is about a 15-minute walk from Queenstown town center. The only downside is a bit of an uphill walk, which can be tiring, but otherwise, everything is good.
We chose the Hilton again for our trip to Queenstown, New Zealand. While it's not right in the town center, transportation is super convenient. The hotel has its own water taxi that goes to and from the center daily. The first boat leaves at 8:15 AM, and then it's hourly after that. It costs 14 NZD per person and takes about 25 minutes. The last return trip is at 9:45 PM, and there's a timetable available at the front desk. The hotel is also only a ten-minute drive from the airport.
The hotel's setting and views are absolutely beautiful, right on the lake. You can take a lovely stroll along the lakeside in the mornings, and the restaurant is right there, so you can enjoy the lake view while you eat. The hotel has a Western restaurant, a bar and restaurant, and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet is served in the Western restaurant and opens at 6 AM, which is great for guests who want to get an early start on their sightseeing. The food selection is comprehensive and tasty too! We had dinner at the Western restaurant on our first night and it was excellent, the steak was fantastic! The bar and restaurant is also good; on our last day, we got back late from our Milford Sound tour and just ordered pizza and beer at the bar. The pizza was absolutely delicious! The bar atmosphere was great too!
We booked a lake view king room, and the layout was nice, with full amenities. The hotel also has a pool, and the gym is open 24 hours. All in all, our stay and dining experience were very comfortable! Highly recommended!
Polite staff and central location in Queenstown ( 5 minutes walk to city center). Amenities include free WiFi, laundry, a garden, hot tub, and bike access. Rooms were cozy but basic. The communal kitchen space was organized and easy to use. The sauna is the reason I will book again when in Queenstown. 🥰
The hotel is a bit out of the way from Queenstown's central area, but not too far – just 4 stops on the No. 1 bus. It's located on a hillside and offers lake views. Our room wasn't very big and had absolutely no view of the lake. The soundproofing was also a bit lacking; we could hear guests walking around upstairs at night. However, the restaurant here was absolutely beyond expectations! It has stunning lake views, and the chef's dishes were seriously on point. Dinner requires advance booking, and by the time we remembered, it was fully booked. We emailed the restaurant two or three days in advance, and they still managed to get us a table for 8:30 PM. Breakfast is à la carte, and both the presentation and taste were excellent.
The hotel was great however for the size and experience they are aiming for and the reputation of being operated by the Hilton, the internet speed is subpar and was below my expectations. A speed test returned speeds of 0.03mbps which is not enough for web browsing. I would have hoped for better internet connection given the price and premium segment this hotel competes in.
Traveled to New Zealand with my parents during the Chinese New Year, so hotel prices were definitely on the higher side. However, the location was absolutely perfect! Once we parked the car at the hotel, everything was within walking distance. We were right on the lively lakeside. If you're driving, remember to email or call ahead to reserve a parking spot!
Parking is convenient and the room is not bad. The front desk is a little beauty from Harbin. The conversion plug we brought was forgotten in the last hotel and borrowed the conversion plug from the front desk. Thank you very much.
Deluxe alpine view room is just a view of some trees, and a glimpse of mountain tops mostly obscured by the roofline of the next room’s balcony, and none of this can be seen from inside the room. The lift only goes to the third floor, and we had to carry all our luggage up the stairs to the fourth floor (staff did offer to assist). Spacious and clean, but very plain and basic, with all the standard equipment you find in any motel room - there is nothing “deluxe” about the room. Adjoining door to the next room had no locks - had to put a chair under the door handle. Presumably the neighbouring guests were equally anxious about this lack of privacy and security. No accessible power outlet next to the bed for charging devices. Had to pull the bedside table away from the wall and lie down on the floor to reach the power outlet behind. No heating in the bathroom, excepted for heated towel rails. Bed had a very soft topper on the mattress which was too soft and saggy, giving no support. One light switch to control the entire room, near the entrance door. No switch near the bed.
Overall, the room was very over-priced for such a basic, dated, and unexceptional experience.

GGrey mouserGorgeous aesthetic throughout this lovely hotel! Gorgeous views of the Shotover River, pool, sauna and steam room all make this a luxurious stay.

SSafiyoooI had a truly wonderful stay at this retreat. The place itself is absolutely spectacular — very calming, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking views. The deck is stunning, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
The owners were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and looked after throughout my stay. Their hospitality genuinely stood out. The dogs were lovely and added so much warmth to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the variety of teas available was out of this world.
As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well cared for, which is something I value highly. The atmosphere is peaceful and nurturing — exactly what you want from a retreat.
The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the shops (around a one-hour walk). However, this was easily managed as Uber is only a 6-minute drive, and the hosts were also kind enough to offer lifts when possible.
Overall, an absolutely stunning place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay

GGuest UserThe location is the hotel is very convenient. Many shops, restaurants and supermarket nearby and it’s very close to downtown. Room itself is not big but enough to open 1-2 large suitcases. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others to stay. Thanks.
AAnonymous UserThe location of this hotel is very good. It is right in the center of the town and you can walk to the most beautiful shore in three minutes. Anyway, it's convenient to go anywhere. The only problem is that you may have to look for parking on the roadside. The hotel room is really big, and the equipment and speakers inside are very good. It's also close to a bar, so it's a bit noisy at night. Everything in the refrigerator is free except alcohol, and there are unlimited refills. For breakfast, it is beautifully prepared on site downstairs. I remember that the big breakfast was about 30 New Zealand dollars. It is worth commenting and worth staying at.
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is really good. I was on a business trip for a week and chose to stay in a better hotel in town for the last two days. The service was also very friendly. However, I found a lot of body hair in the toilet when I got to the room. I don’t know why a hotel that costs 2,000 yuan a night would have such sanitary conditions. Apart from this, there are no major problems. It was a good stay! !
