Hotel check in was fast and good. We got upgraded. Only setback is the toilet smells reckon it came from the shower curtain. After shower, there's water surrounding the toilet bowl area. Not sure why. The shower head doesn't fit properly when you turn on the knob. Also no shower cap.

Love the people at the front desk, they are always so happy and friendly. Check-in took a bit longer than usual but the staff were very apologetic. I stayed in the Urban room at level 12 facing the highway and river. To my surprise it was rather quiet I can’t really hear the traffic. Morning breakfast at level 6 was pretty crowded. The next morning I just went down earlier and it was great. The girls at breakfast were always happy to welcome us… keep it up 👍

First time staying with a child. Location is convenient and parking available. Room size is just nice, comfy bed with clean beddings. Toilet is clean with shampoo and body wash provided. Can see that maintenance of the room is provided. Hope that they would keep it up with the cleanliness and services.

Saw reviews and i was expecting it’s better than it should be. Parking is convenient & safety seem ok for the security & car lift . Room is huge. Location is wise. But, Amenities , room conditions seem ages . Environment locations is ok but full with foreigners which quite unsafe for solo travelers especially lady alone. And due to its locations right across the hotel there is night market with full sets of karaoke blasting during the evening & night. Thursday night i can still heard the music at 12am. Friday night i can still heard it pass 2am . Hard to have good rest with this conditions. If you are on business trip its not recommend for the stay as hardly get good rest with the loud music blasting at the night .

One of the really nice hotel around the area. Impressive environment, friendly staff , clean and comfy bed with good access to food and located at the central of city even. I had some stuff going on and ask for some room check out extension. The staff was even kind enough to gave me some tolerance and extension. Thanks so much again. Will definitely come again in the future.

Dear Crystal Crown Management Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for the hospitality during this period. To begin with, I have a brother who is currently serving quarantine at Hotel Ramada, so I know exactly what are the two hotels offering and its differences. Nevertheless, my stay with Crystal Crown has been a decent one which I am grateful for. I will also be honest with you that there are quite number of areas which need to be improved, not only for the wellbeing of the next batch of guests, but also for the benefit of your staff members. Hence, I would like to provide some constructive suggestions. 1) Communications a) Clarity on the rules of food / items delivery. The RELA briefed us on the arrival day, but it was unclear as we were seated outdoor. A suggestion is to include pictures in your document. See the attached photo for illustration. Besides pasting the rules at the entrance, you could also print it out in black and white for every room, together with the welcome letter. I believe that once the rules are spelled out clearly, the guests will manage their expectations accordingly. b) Distribute the 14 days necessities (e.g. mineral waters, trash bag, toiletries) at one shot. This is also a good practice of Hotel Ramada. Not only the guests can ration the items based on their needs, it also saves your hotel staff the trouble of attending to the needs of the guests at all time. c) Discontinue the whatsapp group. I understand the intention of setting up the group is for emergency purpose. But we all clearly know that this is not the case. Unfortunately, the chat group becomes a platform of all sorts of stuff: from requesting the daily necessities, clarifying the same delivery rules, asking the staff to pick up and send food / items, to spamming the group of 198 people with complaints and feud, or even turning the group into personal chat room. I believe once point a) & b) are sorted out, there is less need to use the whatsapp group as the main channel of communication. We can always use the phone in our room to call the front desk for additional requests or attend to emergency matters. Respecting the guests’ privacy is very much appreciated. 2) Dietary Preferences a) Make the effort to collect guests’ dietary needs and be committed to attend to it. This is a basic etiquette and fundamentals of the hospitality industries. Peanut and seafood allergies can be severe and deadly. The health of people with medical conditions (e.g. diabetes) could be affected. Not to mention the vulnerable such as the elderly, young children and pregnant women. We are human after all, hence the importance of mutual respect – treat the guests the way you want to be treated. b) Look after the well-being of the vegetarians. I would like to speak up for the vegetarians, especially those who practise strict vegetarianism. They cannot to take onions, garlic, chives, green onions and leeks, as it cause anger and desi

The beds are hard. The bed sheet look old and not sure if it really got change with a brown blanket between the sheets make me feel itchy. I feel itchy and in the night. Can hear the top occupants running in the room for like 30 minutes in the middle of the night. Too tired to call lobby to check if there anyone staying in the room. Breakfast food so so… not worth. The toilet look old and bottom cracks. The room floor can feel lots of hairs that are roll in between your toes. The shower hose shower went loose and wet the floor. The water not hot and the tap look run down. The good is the room facilities service guys are good and fast. The service counter staff and hotel staff are good. The lifts are fast. Room quite big.

Service is definitely not top notch but still fine. Breakfast spread is good but did not really change the variety everyday. The infinity pool is nice but located next to the breakfast restaurant so I would say it's not so private if you go for your morning swim. The room is quite spacious and clean. The location is good too as it is located near retail shops and many restaurants. Parking is free too.

Everything was alright. Except that I felt cheated on the first day of check in. I was too hungry hence I went to buy a egg sandwich. It was specifically reflected 18 ringit. But upon payment I was told it was 26 ringit, the server told me they have placed the wrong price tag. I felt so ripped off. But did not wish to argue further as I was tired & hungry. Paid for the sandwich & left the place

The experience was amazing. I love that they have 24/7 room services and the ambiance was great. I didn’t take photo of the room but the sea view was also nice.

Nice hotel. Pocket friendly . The stall is Friendly too Room is clean and the bed is very comfy . Location near to mall n jb custom. Tried the loklok nearby... Yummy but a bit pricey 😜 This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel . Be back soon again

Stayed overnight and tried staying here for the 1st time. Hotel location was a little out of the way from the city but it was safe and secure, with security guard to check vehicle before entry to the carpark. Staff were friendly and hotel was clean. Used the gym and it had plenty of equipment and provided water and towels for guests. Room was big and spacious. Will definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

Finally managed to stayed at this hotel since it’s been a while since i found this place. Looked around the Hotel location and realized it isnt bad as it is along a street filled with food such as restaurants and big bakery store outlet lavender within walking distance. Main staircase can be found as there is visible signboard, however take note for visitors with big luggage as you will need to physically carry it up, main lobby located at lvl 2. Was told by front desk the door will require key card access between 9pm to 9am since there’s no one manning the counter, cool with that. Front desk staff is very friendly but it seems that the owner seems to be lacking as they dont hire enough staff which resulted in this front desk staff having to man it alone for long hours and the lapses from 9pm till the next day since no front desk service will be available. 3/5 solely given to the friendly staff. 0/5 for the management. Room itself is clean and decent, with basic amenities available. Windows must be closed though as it gets pretty noisy in the night or early in the morning since the road beside it is a busy street during peak hours. Overall, still decent stay for 4/5 considering the price and the services available.

No frills budget hotel, very affordable but has the basic necessities to get over a good night stay and sleep. Aircon , water heater functions well and wifi is pretty stable, which is a great plus for the hotel Surrounded with lots of good fnb establishments within walking distance and some of the foodstalls open till 2+am to fix your supper cravings. A few Massage parlors nearby and you can get to popular shopping mall like ksl within 10min drive ... Recommend for short stays...will be back

Cheapest Hotel you can book in JB, With free breakfast. Staff are friendly, free breakfast not bad coz it’s FREE :) Room was clean, will rebook this once we go back to JB! Well recommended

Quite nice and simple interior. Location quite quiet and no shopping malls around. There is a supermarket beside the hotel. Some small eateries available. Relatively clean. Toilet is rectangular and room also same shape. Clever use of small spaces. Drinking tray is flaking off(think maybe it’s worn out). Coffee sachets and flasks for boiling water is available in room. Coffee cup also have. Bath towels and shower gel/shampoo and dental kit available in bathroom.

I travel for business, because I have training at JPFSA, so this is the most decent hotel in the area. This is a small town not far from Johor Bahru, the capital state. Easy to get Grab Service and a lot of eating place. There a bar and restaurant next to the hotel, Japanese Restaurant Opposite & Bakery opposite the hotel. Room is spacious, bright lighting and decent decoration, there no wardrobe. It's ok for 1 or 2 nights. Quite safe for woman traveller. Breakfast can be better. They only serve coffee/tea with sandwiches and noodles/fried rice. Please dont set high expectation for breakfast. This area mostly office area for freight forwarders and other small businesses.

The room is clean and the front desk is fast and friendly (there is also a machine can help with checkin/out as well). Aircon is strong, water pressure is good. There is a fridge and water dispensers. But no cupboard and the curtains only block 90% of the sunlight. Room has good lightings. But I had a rather unfortunate incident. I went out to get dinner around 8pm. I left my wife alone in the room as she wasn't feeling well and wanted some shut eye. Apparently, a few minutes after I left, someone (a lady) entered my room. My wife was asleep but luckily woke up and the lady who enter and quickly exited. The front desk then call and integrated my wife asking if she booked the room, her name and if she checked in today. This is pretty sus. 1. How can you issue a key to someone else without checking? 2. What are the chances it happens just as I left the room 3. I checked with front desk and I was told the ”guest” got confused on her room number. So does her key open all the doors? 4. How did the front desk know so fast? Even if the other guest says 'hey, there is someone in my room' why not verify with her first? Basically after that, I didn't leave the room. I made sure the door was latch and I put the chair Infront of the door. Some how, I feel it's really very sus that it happen when I stepped out, and she came in with the room key.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The on-site restaurants offered a diverse menu of high-quality dishes, and we found something delicious at every meal. Overall, The Westin Desaru is the perfect destination for a luxury getaway.

Easy access by Desaru highway. Plenty of food choice and various activities provided my hotel. Very satisfied with amenities provided by the hotel. Splash pool is not very clean and too crowded during school holiday. Lazy river quite dangerous if you use the float, I flip over and bang my head twice. More safe if free body instead of using floaty.

Great hotel, check in was smooth and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They share with us on where to have nice seafood etc. the room size is big but do note that the double bed is both queen size. The amenities are good as well. They surprised us with birthday decorations. It’s very children friendly hotel

The hotel is amazing! Has amazing facilities for kids such as the water playground and kids club. Super convenient access to the water park! You can conveniently rent the towels from the hotel’s pool to bring to the water park. Our room is right outside the water park but the sound proofing is great! Can barely hear any noise from the water park. Hotel buffet breakfast is amazing too. Will def book hard rock again if I were to revisit desaru!

Tunamaya unlike the outside look, first image you will feel it like very old building, and we were worried about the room all this thing. After we get the room, the room is perfectly clean, the toilet is clean and acceptable. I can see they do not clean the floor at balcony, it is ok, there have more fun at outside. The biggest advantages is the hotel is walking distance to beach which my daughter very like it. Breakfast is ok, simple and just nice. The outside restaurants are walking distance, this also better than other hotels. This is important because of going to town is about 30-35minutes by car.

Year end means holiday time for my little family. Arrived here quite early in the afternoon. Being promised that once the room is ready, the receptionist on duty will then give us a call, yet do assume that due to other urgent commitment and / or poor telecommunication coverage, it was no avail. (Disclaimer : my spouse got SMS informing that Maxis coverage will be temporarily affected at the current location, yet I never get one, although utilizing the very same provider) Just trying our luck to check in an hour early from prescribed time and viola! our room was readied accordingly. Room was adequately kept, small stains detected at the duvet, bidet sprayer malfunctioned. Not to be so fussy, we do embraced the imperfect condition accordingly. The room allocated to us in which purposely selected for sea view was nice. The hotel do situated not too far from other establishment. there is a residential area situated approximately 2km from the hotel, namely Taman Bayu Damai, in which do contained shophouses and basic necessity, if need do arise. Yet we did getting our daily doses of foods and other necessity down towards the south, in which nearer to Sungai Rengit. The foods readied at the hotel (in our case breakfast) were less then adequate in quality, but got nothing to complained about. Due to the time we have, we did embarked on sight seeing walkabout at the premises. Some of the attractions were abandoned, might be due to the ill effect of continuous MCO enforcement for the past 2 years. The beach was nice, but due to the timing of Monsoon, it will be not advisable to dwell into usual sea and beach activities too much. My two boys enjoyed their time playing with the sands, with much cautionary steps undertaken. Hopefully, as per my title of this review, time will heal this establishment, thus will be then enable them to offer their best package to prospectus guest.

The hotel stay was delightful. The room is spacious with everything working perfectly. Breakfast is delicious with variety to choose from. Facilities within the hotel too was superb. With their creativity, they eventually made an outdoor gym using woods that they recycle and also beach swing which is the plus point. Credits to the hotel technician team for their hardwork to build it.

Overall quite bad and the far from my expectations. At first, the room’s bulb isn’t bright and keep shining. Luckily the workers there help us to fix it immediately. Second, the bedsheet isn’t clean enough. It can see the bedsheet yellowish and look like dirty. Next, the room wifi connection was very weak and not able to use. We used our mobile data instead. Besides that, there was no hair dryer or iron in room. Need to request after check in. The reception counter was not 24 hours. When we back to resort around 10.30pm, the reception already closed. Hence, we are not able to get officer there to have a hair dryer at night. Until the next morning, the worker helped to put the hairdryer outside of room. However, the hairdryer not in good function. Also, the variety of breakfast was not much. Hope that my review could help to improve.

Most ever worst room I stayed. This is the second time we booked Lotus resort. Previously, we stayed Lotus beach reasort at Desaru. We are impressed with loft units and amenities. So this time round, we decided to stay another Lotus Resort at Pengerang. We have booked 2 rooms standard King for 2 days which claim as near to beach. One is for us at 106. Another's room will be 108 for my parents in law. We found big red ants over room 106 on the desk, floor, and toilet. Make complaint to indian receptionist twice. One technician came to inspect, spray anti-ant, and believed what we had complained. The Indian receptionist only allowed us to change room to 152, which is super far from my in-laws room 108. Claims that only room is available for standard King. My in-laws room 108 is worse than us. They found a brunch of earth worms in the toilet bowl after flushed. Complaint to receptionist about issues. The same thing the technician came to solve was the problem. We are DISAPPOINTED for what we paid. Not value for money to stay there. We prefer Lotus Beach Resort Bandar Penawar at Desaru.

Extended our stay... spacious and clean room totally worth the price... the staff's are very friendly, only thing u have to go to the lobby and inform directly can't contact via phonecall... Very quite place.. has small pool.... room service done well.... Air cond is very cold, just need to wait 30min++ in beginning to get cool, after entering... bathroom is big and clean too.... water pressure is strong good... tv had medicore SG channels.. kids and us enjoyed watching... Felt safe and Independent stay.. Best to buy snacks & food before Check in as shops are not very nearby if u plan to relax in room... if have own car best to stay here as u can drive 15min++ to kampung pengerang and get food there right near the roundabout malay restaurant food was delicious and reasonable price... the place is tricky to find.. can use waze to klinik pengerang gateway.. it is in the same row as well.. easier... we visited the mini zoo desaru nearby 13min++ kids & adults will love it.. Beach could not visit due to rainning weather... Will definitely come here to stay for our next visit...
