"Good, small rooms in an excellent location. I liked everything. The views are gorgeous. There weren't enough bath mats for the bathroom, it was very slippery. Only one working outlet per room. Otherwise, for $50, everything was great. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was cold, and there was hot water with excellent pressure. Turtles swim into the bay right outside the windows. I didn't like the tuk-tuk mafia near the hotel. When you call your own taxi, they start arguing with them, which is a bad situation. There are no shops around, but there are cafes. You can't really cook anything for yourself in their kitchen, but there is a kettle. There are tables in the kitchen with a wonderful view where you can eat your own food. Beer on the beach is 1000 rupees, sunbeds are 1000 rupees on the left beach, and $20 on the right beach."

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Heritance Ahungalla, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and the fresh juices served upon arrival were very refreshing after the journey. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, spacious, and well equipped with all the luxury amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere throughout the resort had a relaxing beachside vibe, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also used the gym, which was properly equipped with a good range of equipment. The resort has two swimming pools, and we spent most of our time at the main pool, which was absolutely massive and perfect for relaxing. The highlight of the stay was definitely the food experience. The dinner buffet was exceptional with an incredible variety of dishes. There were large selections of salads, appetizers, breads and buns, Sri Lankan specialties, international cuisine, and live cooking stations. The seafood and meat variety was especially impressive — including chicken, beef, pork, cuttlefish, prawns, fish, and many other seafood dishes, with multiple preparations for each. My personal favorite was the pork leg, which was incredibly delicious, tender, and flavorful. The dessert corner was huge, offering plenty of choices and beautifully presented sweets. After a very comfortable night’s sleep, we went for breakfast, and honestly, it was just as impressive as dinner. The breakfast buffet included a massive spread with salad stations, bakery items, fresh fruits, Sri Lankan and international breakfast options, live stations, and an amazing juice bar with around 7–8 varieties of fresh juices. They also had a dedicated cheese section, multiple yogurt options, and even 4–5 types of porridges, which was something unique and very well done. Overall, Heritance Ahungalla offers a fantastic combination of luxury, comfort, delicious food, and relaxing coastal ambience. Everything from the service to the dining and facilities was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway in Sri Lanka! 🌴✨"

"Out of all the places we stayed during our Sri Lanka trip, this hotel’s environment truly blew me away. ✨ **[Impeccable Eco-Environment: Living in a Natural Grand Park]** The hotel's core highlight is its unparalleled natural setting. The entire property feels like a meticulously maintained natural park, where the landscaping seamlessly blends with the surrounding lake. The scenery, with the water and sky mirroring each other, is incredibly therapeutic. Walking around the grounds, you’ll see egrets gracefully strolling on the lawns or flying low overhead, and various small animals everywhere. Even lizards, which are “standard Southeast Asian fare,” add to the ecological feel – it truly feels like living in a wildlife park. The hotel's outdoor pool is large and expansive, offering direct lake views, perfect for photos and relaxation. There’s also a dedicated boardwalk by the lake, ideal for cycling or a stroll in the evening, enjoying the lake breeze and watching the sunset – it's so comfortable you won’t want to leave. 🏊‍♂️ **[Facilities and Rooms: Basic but Solid, Bathroom a Huge Plus]** The room generally boasts Hilton's standard configuration – clean and spacious. The bathroom, in particular, is very large, making it comfortable to use. Given that it's an eco-park in Sri Lanka, occasionally you might find small mosquitoes near the toilet, which is normal for Southeast Asian hotels and perfectly acceptable. The hotel has two restaurants, offering both à la carte and buffet options. The food quality is decent, and they support Alipay and WeChat Pay, which is much more cost-effective than using local currency directly. 🍽️ **[Dining Experience: Lacking Highlights, Buffet Rather Ordinary]** Due to an upset stomach, we didn’t try the buffet and ordered à la carte, which tasted pretty good. The breakfast buffet looked like it had many options and was quite crowded, but in reality, there weren't many choices that suited our taste. Also, because there are many Indian guests staying, both breakfast and dinner had dedicated Indian food sections. For tourists not used to strong flavors, this further limited the options. Compared to a five-star hotel's positioning, the breakfast as a whole was only average, which is a common issue with most hotels in Sri Lanka. 📍 **[Location and Travel: An Excellent Base for Safari]** The hotel is not far from Yala National Park's Safari area, making it very convenient whether you’re driving yourself or using a private car. We personally found that there’s no need to rush for an early morning safari; an afternoon departure offered a much better experience. We saw a leopard as soon as we entered the park and also spotted most of the iconic animals mentioned in guidebooks. There's no need to get up early and rush, and you can return to the hotel to relax right after – the pace was incredibly comfortable. Always prioritize using Alipay/WeChat for payments, as the exchange rate is much better than using local currency directly. Overall, this hotel is absolutely worth staying at, thanks to its stunning ecological environment and excellent location! If you're coming for the safari and natural scenery, this place will definitely be a highlight of your trip. The only minor regret is that the dining didn't quite match the overall quality."

"Anantara Resort Sri Lanka: Healing Paradise Hidden on the Indian Ocean Anantara is definitely the most amazing surprise on the trip to Sri Lanka, called ”holiday in the holiday” . From the moment you step into the resort, you will be completely wrapped here. The garden-style layout will perfectly blend nature and luxury. Every step is like walking into a postcard. The pool is connected to the blue of the Indian Ocean. Sitting on the beach in the sunset and watching the waves roll over, even time has become gentle. The rooms are impeccable. The door is open to the vast sea view. The bedding is so soft that people don't want to get up. The details are hidden. Even the aroma of the spare parts is reassuring. The dining options are rich and delicious, the Verala restaurant's cuisine is exquisite and authentic, the seafood in the Il Mare restaurant is fresh and colorful, and the room delivery we tried is warm and intimate. The most memorable is the hotel's teasing cooking class, followed by the chef to learn to do Sri Lankan cuisine, became a special memory point during the journey. The service here really translates to ”home away from home”. From welcoming staff to exclusive guest room hosts, everyone with a sincere smile will remember your preferences carefully, the beach lifeguard will take the initiative to hand over towels, and even staff members will climb up the coconut tree in the rain to send fresh king coconut. This intimate but not disturbing care makes the whole stay experience particularly comfortable. Even staying in the hotel all day will never be boring, perfect facilities can meet all needs, and the SPA healing project is a great choice to remove fatigue. When leaving, I am reluctant to leave, the scenery, food and warm people here have become the most precious memories of Sri Lanka, and will definitely come back again!"

"The room I was originally given was close to the street and was very noisy. Later, I was given a room close to the sea, and the beach was right outside the door🏖. Of course, I only stayed for two nights and left early. The room was large and nice, with sufficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The only problem was that the hot water was not hot enough for this generation of hotels. It was probably warm water. I hoped I wouldn't catch a cold after taking a shower. I was quite happy staying there."

"the hotel is a wonderful of modern architecture and nature, you can lie comfortably on your bed while watching the monkeys climb down your balcony.  If you are afraid of wild animals, don’t book a ground floor pool suite, rather take a room upstairs."

"This hotel is located in a beautiful location with fantastic views of the bay. Unfortunately, there was a lot of work so you could get some noise burden on some places. Fortunately, this wasn't the case in our room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a lot of damage to the main building in the main restaurant, which needs attention. The water was colder during the shower, and the pressure went down, and after a message, it was remedied the next day. The mini golf course is full of cracks and is replaceable. There is an animation program, including the possibility of table tennis, and a pleasant animator. A great sleep and a good breakfast with choice from many types of breads, fruit, coating and local food, warm and cold. Directly on the beach and easily accessible by walking."

"We absolutely loved the Araliya Hotel. It's a great hotel with a fantastic beach, sand, and sea. They have excellent sun loungers exclusively for guests, and the beachfront area is guarded, so you don't have to worry about outsiders taking them. The beach bar/restaurant is superb, with excellent service. They always have cold beer, delicious cocktails, fresh fruit, and fish. Every day, they'd bring out freshly caught tuna and announce it to the whole beach, which was quite a highlight. The sandy beach is gently sloping, the sea is warm, and the water is clear. You'll see a lot of families and children on the beach. It's definitely a family-friendly hotel, with about 80% Russian guests. The staff doesn't speak Russian (except for one person), but that's not an issue with the restaurants around the hotel, where many people, including taxi drivers, understand Russian. We really enjoyed everything. It has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have sea views. The bathroom is also quite large. Nearby, there's a street with restaurants and shops offering good prices. You'll find currency exchange offices everywhere; the rates are a bit lower than at the airport, but not by much. We truly loved our stay and will definitely be back, maybe with our kids next time. P.S. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Naveen, one of the restaurant staff members. He's a very pleasant, smiling, and responsive guy who went out of his way to make every guest comfortable. We were very impressed with his service."

"Oh ... This hotel just fell in love with itself!!! Photos I do not apply because they are real in the hotel profile. Here is everything! We were in the 4 suite for the 3rd floor and it is really the best hotel in Sri. Very atmospheric and thoughtful, the eyes are joyful for every trivial. Service: Settled early and fast, cleaned in room 2 times a day!!!!!! , the pool is clean, the food in the restaurant is delicious , but expensive. The ocean is not calm here, but if you are on a car or on a bike, 10 or 20 minutes in different directions and either Unavatuna or Veligma or Mirissa ( tuck will also deliver ). Restaurants are also in step-by-step availability. I'm the second time in Sri and there's something to compare with, so I highly recommend. The hotel is worth its money, not ordinary network and not killed local. We'll be back here 100% Aaaaa and on the 3rd floor a charming patio with lying, just huge,this bonus is just a gun"
