"Everything about the service was top-notch.
The food was all delicious, and there was plenty of it to fill you up, with kaiseki cuisine even including sake, and the option to choose one dish from the menu.
After 10 PM, they offer a late-night snack called 'yonaki soba' (night-time ramen). It's quantity-limited, so when I went a little before 10 PM, many people were already waiting. The dining area has limited seating, but takeaway was an option, so I ate it in my room.
From ice cream after a bath to Yakult in the morning, I was never hungry and felt full the entire time I was at the inn. It was wonderful.
The breakfast was also voluminous, and you could have unlimited rice.
There's also a private bath. While it doesn't have a showerhead, it's a perfect space to spend time with a loved one. It was available when I went in the evening.
Overall, I was surprised by how few Japanese guests there were; most seemed to be Chinese or other Asian guests.
I'd like to stay here again when I go skiing."

"The hotel's location is excellent. You can see the Yuzawa Grand Hotel nestled on the mountainside right from the west exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Station. It's about a 5-minute walk, though the large, steep slope at the hotel entrance requires careful walking, especially after a snowfall in Echigo-Yuzawa and when pushing luggage, to avoid slipping.
We booked a Japanese/Western-style room, and the hotel gave us a room on the 7th floor of the South Wing, directly facing the station. The views were absolutely superb, especially the distant mountains after a snowfall – truly the 'Snow Country' I'd imagined. The room had two beds, and a futon was set up in the Japanese-style area, making it perfect for families with two children on a ski trip.
There are two onsen (hot springs) on the hotel's first floor, and the open-air bath is particularly memorable, especially when you catch a heavy snow while soaking outdoors. An unforgettable experience!
The hotel exudes the charm of an established onsen hotel, with attentive and meticulous service. Yukata and towels are changed daily. Although the facilities show their age, they are still perfectly functional, especially the in-room mini-bar/sink area, which was convenient for eating bentos in the room after skiing each day. Oh, we didn't book breakfast or dinner; we got all our meals from the convenience store inside the station and nearby restaurants.
The hotel's excellent service was also evident in many small details, such as the free rain boots at the entrance and the weather forecasts for various ski resorts. I particularly recommend the ski rental shop right outside the hotel; they have a great attitude, reasonable prices, and the ski gear and helmets are all very new.
In summary, it was a very satisfying stay in every aspect. If I come back to Echigo-Yuzawa during the ski season, I will definitely stay here again!"

Breakfast was buffetstyle and really very good with a lot of choises, both Japanese, local and western.
Location was very convenient near the train station. About max a 5 minutes walk. Near the hotel there are a lot of places to eat or have a drink. At the station is a shopping mall."

As for the accommodation, the room was in a traditional Japanese style, spacious and clean, with a great view outside the window. Although the building itself is a bit old, it's very well-maintained. The onsen (hot spring bath) was a highlight – the water, straight from the source, felt silky smooth, and the open-air bath offered expansive views, making for a truly relaxing soak. "This was my second time staying at this hotel. Last time I only stayed one day, this time I stayed two. September is off-season, and booking two days in advance was RMB 500 more expensive than booking separately. This hotel is very weather-sensitive; I recommend canceling if it's cloudy or rainy for several days in a row. On my first day, visibility was very low due to heavy rain, and the fog outside the window made it impossible to see even the trees, which was a very bad experience. The room also had a slight odor due to the high humidity, which exposed the room's shortcomings without the beautiful view. The air conditioner was too loud, and the toilet was difficult to flush. The carpet was too worn. The next day, the weather cleared up, and everything was beautiful again. I bought a cable car ticket at the front desk and the hotel delivered it to the cable car station. The top of the mountain was beautiful, and the air was fresh. On the way back, I asked the cable car staff at the cable car station to call the hotel. They were the same hotel, and the bus arrived in just over ten minutes. There are three restaurants, two of which offer breakfast: one buffet and one Western-style set menu. The buffet has a wide variety of dishes and good taste, while the set menu is average, but the view is beautiful. I booked a room with breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was served at Shirakaba. Kaiseki is fine, and the quality is excellent, suitable for Chinese palates. The special kaiseki I chose for an additional fee the next day was terrible, with a heavy sugary sauce that made it unpleasant. The service was first-rate. Meals can be reserved during check-in, but meals are fine. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. We also visited Kasumi Falls this time, but the hike is difficult and the falls are small, so it's better to just wander around the hotel gardens. The hot springs are great and worth experiencing. The hotel is located in Myoko Plateau, so be sure to email ahead to schedule a pick-up. There are no buses or taxis, and the ride takes about 15 minutes."

I live in Japan and travel there a lot. I spent four nights in this hotel, which claims to be eco-friendly, but like other hotels recently, uses this as a pretext to cut costs.
Indeed, the room was only cleaned once, and the disposable toothbrushes provided on the first day were only replaced a second time during the entire stay. The sheets were never changed, and the bed was made only once. The used towels weren't collected daily.
Is offering disposable toothbrushes conceivable with a supposed commitment to environmental responsibility? No.
Does not making the bed have anything to do with this so-called environmental responsibility? No.
Offering a smoking room near the reception area that reeks of smoke in the hotel entrance... is that eco-friendly? No.
Is it respectful of non-smokers? No.

It is a family-style hot spring hotel for more than 160 years. It has been passed on by three generations of members of the family. It is a charming hot spring hotel with a view of Kamao Lake on Shinjuku Sado Island. The breakfast and dinner are delicious. The Japanese-style room is spacious and bright. We stayed for two nights and left the hotel. The hotel manager personally sent it by car. We went to the ferry, this stay felt comfortable and comfortable, thank you again for the store!

Thank you for your help for 3 nights and 4 days. The food was very delicious and I was full. I enjoyed the bath for a long time, as it was open from 15:00 to 10:00 the next day. I enjoyed watching the dances such as the illumination of Sado Kanayama and Sado Okesa during the night activities. Thank you for your help!

z_._.__kThe most attractive aspect of this hotel was its incredibly low price. The fact that it included breakfast and access to the hot springs at this price was truly exceptional. The hotel and guest rooms were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The room was larger than I expected, which was a plus. Furthermore, there were amenities like a table tennis room, which added to the enjoyment.
The location wasn't bad either; there were restaurants and convenience stores within a few minutes' drive, so I didn't feel any inconvenience.
I didn't have any major complaints, except that the large size of the facility meant it took a little time to reach my room, which was a minor concern. Even considering that, the cost performance was excellent, and I would definitely like to stay here again.
