We really enjoyed our stay at FAV LUV Sapporo.
The price was very reasonable for the size of the hotel in Sapporo. The room was spacious and comfortable which feels like home. It’s so roomy that it can easily fit at least three luggages. The bathing area is also very spacious.
Most importantly, the room includes a microwave and a washing machine, which are especially convenient for long stays. The staff we met were all very friendly, including the room cleaning staff.
The only downside is that it’s a bit far from the train station—about 15 minutes on foot, and up to 20 minutes if you’re carrying luggage.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
Portom International Hotel was such a beautiful stay ✨
The aesthetics, the impeccable service, and the peaceful atmosphere made everything feel so luxurious and comforting. Most of all, I left feeling truly rested, pampered, and refreshed. Would absolutely love to return again 💛
Amazingly reasonable place and breathtaking place in front of the mountain. Thank you Imee for choosing the best room for us. Definitely best recommendation to friends going to Niseko and enjoy some snow 😄🫶🏻
We re-booked the same hotel after coming back from 1 night in Lake Toya as this hotel is conveniently located with good service. This time round, we booked a corner room and it is bigger than the previous room we booked and at a lower price. There is also an airport limousine bus drop off point just outside the hotel and the pick up point is a 3 mins walk to ANA Crowne plaza hotel. The onsen facility is free for guests - the facility is well maintained and clean.
The hotel lobby is stunning, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering a magnificent view directly onto Lake Toya. Every room also boasts a lake view. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a good variety of dishes, though the quality is pretty standard, nothing to write home about. The hot springs are beautiful, and the infinity pool also faces Lake Toya. It's worth noting that the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service to and from Sapporo, which can save you a good amount on transportation costs if you plan accordingly.
The hotel is located in Odori, not far from Odori subway station, and actually quite close to Sapporo Station, about a 9-minute walk. The area is relatively quiet but still has convenience stores and restaurants, so the location is pretty good.
I booked a Cross Floor room with a view of Sapporo TV Tower. The room isn't huge, but just about big enough to open two suitcases. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water; you need to get drinking water from the dispenser in the elevator area. However, guests on the Cross Floor get complimentary access to the lounge and public bath, which is a big plus for those who enjoy a drink.
The breakfast selection was a bit limited and didn't feature any particularly impressive dishes.
JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo offers an excellent location, situated directly above JR Sapporo Station and connected to major shopping malls and transportation hubs. This makes exploring the city highly convenient.
The hotel shows its age but remains well maintained, with clean facilities and comfortable rooms.
Service stands out as outstanding, exceeding that of other international brands in Sapporo, in my opinion.
The only drawback is the onsen, which closes at 10pm—somewhat early after a full day.
Overall, it provides a reliable and convenient base for visitors to Sapporo.
They offer a free shuttle bus from Sapporo Station, which I highly recommend taking, especially if you have luggage, as public buses might be difficult to board. The foreign staff at the front desk spoke excellent English! The hotel itself is quite spacious with a retro vibe. You can easily walk to the city center in about 20 minutes or take a few bus stops. For airport transfers, the airport shuttle picks up right outside the hotel, which is super convenient.

Loved that the hotel allows guests with tattoo to use the onsen though this wasn’t made known explicitly with written signs. Hotel was located at the end of Tanukoji so it’s a distance from the main area although still walkable.
Note that the bathroom doesn’t have a space to put your dry clothes and you will have to wear it outside unless you do not mind the bottom of your pants getting wet. Not very convenient for mix gender groups even though there’s a blind you can draw but still be visible from the mirror reflection. Room was located in the annex building which has alot of stairs so not that convenient for elderlies too. Overall, decent hotel but recommended only if you have no issues walking or are driving.

Amazing
Cchet_l91Dinner: Kaiseki Ryori: We stayed for two nights, and the kaiseki dinner on the first night wasn't very good; the taste was mediocre, and some of the pairings just didn't work. The second night, I didn't want sashimi, so I asked the hotel if everything could be cooked, and it turned out to be surprisingly better than the first night. Meanwhile, I saw the people next to us still getting various sashimi dishes.
PPaatBibeeModern Comfort with Exceptional Service.
We recently stayed at this brand new hotel for 3 nights and was thoroughly impressed. As someone who travels frequently and appreciated good design and hospitality, this property hit all the right notes.
The ambience & Room:
The hotel features a clean and medern design.
My room was a decent size-not too small for 2 people-and perfectly maintained.
ิิิิฺ-Modern amenities including a Nespresso machine and a smart TV with Netflix made our stay very comfortable when snowing outside.
-Attentive and consistent housekeeping. The room was refreshed daily with plenty of drinking water provided.
Service:
The staff here are the true stars. They are genuinely friendly, always greeting us with a smile. They went beyond by help to pre-booking a fixed-rate taxi for our airport transfrer, which made our early morning departure stress-free.
Location and Dining:
While the hotel isn't right in the hustle and bustle of the center area, it is within easy walking distance to everything. The subway is just around the corner but we prefer walking for observation. The surrounding area is packed with great local dining options. Plus, the hotel's own restaurant is quite a great choice for a great dinner.
A Small Note for Improvement:
The only thing I missed was the ability to slightly crack open a window. As someone sensitive to room temperature during sleep (especially in winter), having a bit of fresh air would have made the stay even more perfect.
Verdict: Highly recommended for those who valure cleanliness, modern aesthetics, and top-tier service. We would definitely stay here again next time.
AAnonymous UserThis stay was pretty average, nothing particularly remarkable. The basic cleanliness of the room was acceptable, with no obvious dirt or mess, but the facilities were a bit old and not very convenient to use. Check-in at the front desk was a normal speed, and while the service wasn't overly enthusiastic, it was polite, and they answered questions simply. The soundproofing was mediocre; I could hear some hallway noise at night. The value for money was just okay – no special surprises, but no major issues either. It's the kind of place you could stay at, or easily skip.

WWozhenshanshuiThe room was fantastic! I felt like I got my money's worth just from the buffet – I stayed for 4 days and gained 1kg! Soaking in the hot springs twice a day was incredibly relaxing. The ice activities on Lake Akan were a lot of fun. There's a free shuttle to the Lake Akan Ski Resort, where I skied for 3 days and finally got the hang of it. This stay was incredibly good value for money.
未未来与远方The hotel's location near Shin-Osaka Station is incredibly convenient for buses, Shinkansen, and subways. It was a thoughtful touch that they offered free umbrellas downstairs on a rainy day, no registration needed. Plus, there are plenty of dining options right downstairs.
GGuest UserThe room view is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful lake view! I could watch the sunrise from bed and the sunset from the balcony. It was clean and hygienic, and the service was so good I almost felt embarrassed. The bakery downstairs has amazing bread. They also offer shuttle service up and down the mountain, but make sure to book it a day in advance!
GGuest UserOverall, it was great! The hotel is very new, and the amenities, which include Pola products, a folding comb, and cotton pads, are self-service. The hot spring has hot, cold, and outdoor pools, and the pajamas are really thick and cozy.
The family room was perfect for our family of four. However, probably because it was the off-season, breakfast only offered Japanese, Western, and vegetarian options. We stayed for eight nights and had the exact same breakfast eight times... though it was delicious, haha!
GGuest UserThis onsen hotel is definitely worth the price. The environment and hygiene are excellent, and the room layout is fantastic. The yukata was the most comfortable I wore during my Hokkaido trip. The service was absolutely superb, especially the proprietress at the Kaiseki restaurant, Shoan. She was incredibly elegant and generous, giving us an authentic and meticulous Japanese service experience. The private onsen with a fee had average views. The outdoor public onsen was closed on the day of my stay due to cold weather. The indoor onsen, for a hotel of this price point, was quite ordinary. Therefore, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the onsen experience. All in all, while it might not be exceptionally surprising, this is a hotel that's well worth its price.
