"This hotel is truly worth recommending! The front desk service was friendly and efficient, and both check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation, and the attached parking lot is super handy if you're driving. The biggest surprise was the cafe on the first floor; the coffee was rich and aromatic, a must-have every morning to start the day right. Overall, the service and location are both great. I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"From the entrance to the room and even the smallest details, the interior design is very tastefully subdued. The room windows are large, and even though I had a mountain view, it felt very spacious. The hot spring on the second floor also had relaxing, subdued lighting.
However, it might have just been my luck, but on the day I stayed, there were many families with children. The front desk during check-in and check-out, as well as the second floor, were overflowing with people. Even with three elevators, it was impossible to get on, leading to waits of over 10 minutes. I've never encountered such a situation at other hotels, so that was my only complaint.

"The room was spacious, the biggest I've stayed in Japan so far, and the window offered a great view of Lake Toya. However, the bathtub in the bathroom looked a bit unclean, probably because most guests go to the hot springs instead of using their room's tub. The views from the lobby and restaurant windows were also lovely. For the two meals, the beef at dinner was quite good, but the salmon was very average.
If you want to see the fireworks, you can't view them from the room. I missed them because I didn't know where to go.
The onsen had many different baths, and I tried all of them except the cold pool. It felt incredibly relaxing, and being able to soak in a warm outdoor onsen while it was snowing heavily made me feel like life was good again!"

I had chosen the Premier Tsubaki Hotel for a 4 days/nights stay in Sapporo to explore the city and its vicinity.
Its location is just perfect! Next to the main bridge towards Downtown one can allways go on foot to the main Sightseeing and Shopping spots, great!
My rate did not include breakfast and hence and cannot judge it. However, there is a fridge available in each room. So perfect, to care for oneself.
I used the nice gym daily (take into account that there is a long break over noon 10-15 hrs where neither Gym nor Sauna can be used).
House keeping was simply excellent! Great work done
Overall, to me this Hotel makes the best place one could choose to stay in Sapporo"

Guest UserThe room was excellent, and the environment was fantastic. A special thank you to the staff for their service. There were staff members who spoke Chinese, which made communication seamless. When I checked out, I forgot my phone at the hotel. The staff called the hotel I was going to beforehand, and then in the evening, they even delivered my phone to my hotel in Sapporo, waiting until I received it. The service was absolutely incredible, and I'm very grateful. It's a place definitely worth visiting.

The most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in a hotel.
We had some of the best sleep during our stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and soft, high-quality linens. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and very well soundproofed, with lots of space to store luggage and personal items, plus many useful amenities.
The entire hotel has a modern, clean design and is kept in excellent condition. The staff were very kind, professional, and spoke English, which made everything easy. They even provided umbrellas free of charge when it rained, which was a thoughtful touch.
The hotel bar also deserves a mention. The service was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the parfaits were delicious. Since parfaits are very popular locally in Sapporo, I definitely recommend trying one here.
The location is convenient too: just a short walk from Susukino and the Sapporo city center, close to the station by a few metro stops, and easy to reach by taxi.
Overall, this Marriott was a real gem. Because of such a pleasant experience here, I’ll definitely consider staying at other Marriott Courtyard hotels in the future.

Otherwise the room was big, toilet & amneties was great! Staffs were very helpful & friendly. Would highly recommend this place if wanna good rest before flight out.

Guest UserThe hotel management is really poor. The public hot spring always has a sticky film on top, and there were foreign objects in the large pool where people lie down, almost cutting my skin. The worst part is that these things can't be removed. The day after soaking, my feet were incredibly itchy, probably due to a fungal infection. People with tattoos and whatnot were also soaking, and no one seemed to care. At 9 AM, staff members were walking around the hot spring area in outdoor snow boots, which was absolutely disgusting. And the funniest thing is, you have to take off your shoes when entering this hotel, and you're not allowed to wear slippers inside the entire hotel. I won't even mention the insufficient floor heating; walk around in socks for a bit, and white socks turn grey. Luggage can be wheeled through freely, so just imagine how dirty it must be. The dinner buffet was mediocre. I ordered a glass of red wine and had a headache all day afterward. The breakfast buffet the next day, however, was decent. I probably won't go back and hope they seriously improve their management. Don't tarnish the Tsuruga brand.

Anonymous UserThe hotel lobby features many unique wood carvings, which is quite special. The staff are warm and welcoming. The room size is just right, and the bedding is comfortable. There are three hot springs, all of which are excellent and very relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style with a rich and varied selection. Highly recommended.

We’ve stayed here for 7 nights. Which was a bit longer stay for Sapporo. However as the weather was so bad with heavy snow, so we did enjoy our stays in hotel during the snowy weather. The breakfast is so great and we expect it every morning, as it includes a variety of foods so you always can find something to enjoy. All staffs are very friendly and welcoming, especially two male & senior chefs at ramen and omelette. We also bought spa in our room rate, so every night we did enjoy a pleasant spa( though it’s not hot spring). In front of hotel, there is a small mall - BIVI , which with some good restaurants ,nice cafe (Gentle Bagel) and coop. Even at the heavy snowing days, you have no worries to spend time in. B1 with very practical laundry service , costs are fairly . If you have budget, you can choose only room (without breakfast and spa) plans, which is with very CP, strongly recommended.

This hotel is nestled high in the mountains, between Lake Toya and the Sea of Japan. The view from the window is absolutely stunning. They offer a shuttle service from the train station, and there's also a stop for Lake Toya. The Japanese breakfast was incredibly refined and delicious. Unfortunately, my stay was too short, and I didn't get a chance to explore Lake Toya. I'll definitely be back for another two nights!

Guest UserAlthough the room isn't huge, it has everything you need. There's space under the bed for luggage, so even the most basic room, despite being small, doesn't feel cramped. There's a decently long and wide desk for putting things on, and the windowsill is also quite wide, so you can draw the curtains and use it to display your souvenirs for photos. The wardrobe area for hanging clothes is also very spacious and deep! Even though the room isn't big, the bathroom is still plenty spacious and doesn't feel tight. We went to the hot springs an hour before closing, but it was still incredibly clean and tidy. Even if the parking spots in front of the hotel are full, there are other parking options available for guests.

This onsen hotel is definitely worth the price. The environment and hygiene are excellent, and the room layout is fantastic. The yukata was the most comfortable I wore during my Hokkaido trip. The service was absolutely superb, especially the proprietress at the Kaiseki restaurant, Shoan. She was incredibly elegant and generous, giving us an authentic and meticulous Japanese service experience. The private onsen with a fee had average views. The outdoor public onsen was closed on the day of my stay due to cold weather. The indoor onsen, for a hotel of this price point, was quite ordinary. Therefore, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the onsen experience. All in all, while it might not be exceptionally surprising, this is a hotel that's well worth its price.
