"Good hotel. Very convenient location. There are many taverns, cafes and gelaterias nearby. Since it is very difficult to find something decent for a normal price in Athens. The price is of course overpriced for the location, not for the service in the hotel. But as in all of Europe. Good and new hotels are not about Europe(((."

"Wonderful Hotel Stay with Outstanding Service We stayed at the Nea Makri Seafront Hotel for three nights with my three children, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel itself is modern, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely excellent. The buffet breakfast was a real highlight — generous, fresh, and with plenty of variety to keep everyone satisfied. There was never a shortage of food, which made mornings relaxing and stress-free. One thing to note is that the snack bar and dinner options at the hotel were noticeably more expensive than what we’ve experienced in other parts of Greece. The same goes for the supermarket just across the road. While convenient, it was also overpriced in comparison. The location of the hotel is a bit isolated, especially if you don't have a car. We found there wasn’t a lot to do or explore nearby, which was a bit disappointing during a three-night stay. That said, this is more about the area than the hotel itself, and not something the hotel can control. What truly made the stay memorable was the incredible staff. I want to give a special thanks to Evi (Evie) at the front desk — she was so kind, helpful, and welcoming, and she made a real effort with my children, which meant a lot. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the gentleman on reception at 5am on the day we checked out. My son had accidentally left his phone in the taxi to the airport, and this man went above and beyond by contacting the driver and arranging for the phone to be returned. We were so grateful. Overall, a wonderful hotel with top-tier service. While the location may not be ideal without a car, the comfort, cleanliness, and exceptional staff more than made up for it. Thank you again to everyone who made our stay so welcoming and stress-free."

"This was my first time in Athens, and I chose this downtown hotel. The location is excellent, very close to the Acropolis and Syntagma Square, and it even offers free parking. The room was quite spacious and clean, and the breakfast was very rich and satisfying. However, the downside was that our room faced the street, and the noise from cars and motorcycles was too loud, disrupting our sleep. Another drawback was that the single bed in the triple room was right next to the double bed and very low, which made it uncomfortable."

"Our entire trip to Athens was spent at the A for Athens Hotel, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens! The hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of the Old Town, just a 3-minute walk to Monastiraki Square, and a mere ten-minute stroll to the Acropolis and Plaka Old Town. Metro stations, local eateries, and affordable supermarkets are abundant nearby, making both getting around and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel's biggest highlight is its rooftop terrace bar, offering an unobstructed panoramic view of both the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus. Coming up for a drink at sunset truly sets a fantastic mood, and it's an excellent spot for photos. Room cleaning is meticulous and thorough daily; the floors and bathrooms are spotless, and the air conditioning, hot water, and high-speed Wi-Fi are stable all day. The bed is soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The 24-hour front desk staff are warm and friendly; they proactively offer city maps, patiently explain sightseeing routes, and even provide free luggage storage for large items. Breakfast is an authentic Greek buffet, featuring a wide variety of cheeses, olives, handmade pies, freshly ground coffee, and fresh fruit – enough to fuel a full day of walking tours. The only minor drawback is that the building is older, and the elevator is a bit small, but this in no way detracts from the overall guest experience. Balancing location, service, and views, this hotel offers exceptional value for money in central Athens. I would definitely rebook here on my next trip to Athens, Greece!"

"We stayed at the same hotel for the second time, its location is very good. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The only problem is that the ventilation system in the bathrooms is very weak, and the shower areas are in the same place as the toilet. Everywhere is covered in water. The last room we stayed in had a jacuzzi, when you wanted to take a shower the bathroom turned into a lake, the water drain was in the wrong place and the bathroom was covered in water."

"Location great. Room great. Service great. Loved room with balcony. The onlydownside os small elevator, but not a big issue. Oh the best part was window in the toilet. I dont know whether all rooms have window in the toilet, but at least we had one. Will come back! Thanks"

"Perfect location! We took the metro from the airport to the hotel and didn't need to use public transport again after that. Everything was within walking distance. The room was lovely, clean, and well-decorated. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend it!"
