"This is a splendid Hotel and Spa set in the Somerset countryside near Winscombe. The Pool and Spa Facilities are very good indeed. There is a small sauna and a steam room that can comfortably allow 6 occupants. The Gym facilities are excellent and extensive. The Pool looks great though I didn't swim on this occasion. All the staff speak good English. The Bar is very comfortable with plush sofas in the Lounge area. I didn't dine, but the Dining area is large and looks comfortable. The outside area gives a beautiful view of the landscape and Brent Knoll. Nit Picks... Check in is strictly at 3pm and not before so there might be queues at that time. The corridors are confusing and first time guests might get lost. In the bathroom the Shower gel and Shampoo dispenser are in small bottles fixed to the wall by the shower and pressing once dispenses only a tiny amount. The service at the Spa was not quite right on the first night and very little was explained. It was better in the morning. My room was small, but very clean. The TV remote needed a very firm press to change channels of volume, but you get the hang of it eventually. I will stay again. "We booked 2 nights for a relaxing spa weekend. Based on it being a spa hotel. We planned on staying in the hotel for the whole weekend.  When we arrived we were told there was no restaurant or bar we can use as it’s only used for events.  We then had some lunch in the spa cafe. Food was ok. Service was terrible.  We then went to the room as we were able to check in. The cleaner was still there. Very apologetic extremely polite and lovely. The room was absolutely wonderful. Large bedroom bathroom and living room.  We went out and found a pub for food. When we returned to relax in the room we found the party was directly below us and in full swing. Very loud and noisy and the smoking area was right outside our window. We called reception but they were fully booked. Glad to say it all stopped at midnight.  We went down to breakfast at 9.30. Not much left and the full breakfast was cold. When we questioned it we were just told”well it has been there since 7” it had just sat on the side in silver trays for 2.5 hours, no heat or option to reheat. It wasn’t edible.  We skipped breakfast that we paid for on the second day.  We then thought we would spend some time in the spa. Ha! Well the pool is small, no where to relax just a couple of plastic chairs, not a spa at all. It had a very small sauna and steam room. The jacuzzi didn’t work it was just a pool of cloudy water with a few bubbles.  Would not recommend. Seems it used to be and could be a wonderful place to be but has been taken over and lost its sole. Such a shame as the building and grounds are wonderful.  I have to add the cleaning staff and lady on reception were wonderful, welcoming and friendly."

"Small luxury hotel I feel relieved to see that it is SLH, but it is unusually understaffed. From check-in to dining in the restaurant, you have to wait, wait, wait. If you don’t understand English, please don’t come. Most of the employees look like college students who work part-time and cannot solve the problem alone. question. The restaurant and bar are good, the room is very big, you need to take the stairs to the first floor, and the bathroom is half a floor up. The swimming pool is small and there are many people. There is a sauna, but it was useless because the temperature was 30 degrees on the day of arrival. Charging the tram is also very funny. It took a long time to fully charge it."

"The environment is good and the room is big enough. But knowing that there are four of us, there are only three beds, which is a bit inconvenient. The service is not good. When eating, you can hear all kinds of noises from the waiters, which is annoying. The plates fell on the floor twice. If there were no local guests next to me, I would have been too sensitive to think that they were showing off to our family. It is a pity that the service of such a good hotel is not as good as the hotel."

Hotel near Bath City Center,Bath
Situated in Bath's Royal Crescent, this magnificent hotel offers a fully equipped gym and a stunning spa, leading out onto a picturesque landscaped garden. It also offers an award-winning restaurant and a cocktail bar. The Bath House spa offers a relaxation pool, an additional relaxation pool with massage jets, a sauna with salt therapy treatments, and a steam room. Each bedroom at The Royal Crescent has an 18th-century-style décor and luxury bedding. There is free WiFi and paintings from period artists such as Gainsborough. Along with the Montagu's Mews restaurant, The Montagu's Mews Bar serves all-day dining options, cocktails, and champagne. The beautiful gardens are ideal for a traditional afternoon tea. The Bath House Spa is within an original coach house and stables. First occupied in 1775, the buildings are a 15-minute walk from the city-centre, Pump Room Baths, and the Theatre Royal. Bath Spa Rail Station is just 1.6 km away. We strongly recommend booking any dining in advance to avoid disappointment. Spa treatment also need to be booked in advance.

"The waiting area for check-in is very British and beautiful. We booked a classic room, which requires us to walk through the main building, pass the garden, and come to the second floor of a stable. The room is clean and the toilet is relatively large. But the location is a bit disappointing. The high price and high positioning of the hotel make us automatically assume that the view of the room will be particularly good, overlooking the city of Bath. The actual situation is disappointing. Looking out is the street view on the other side, and I dare not open the window. The pure British white old man helps you carry the luggage, making you feel embarrassed not to tip. The restaurant is very delicious, and the cauliflower is especially delicious. In this place, you have to keep communicating and making requests. They can do better."
