Ji Hotel (Kunming Cuihu Renmin Middle Road)
4.8/54569 Reviews
Cuihu District
Overall, I like this hotel chain in general and would stay there again, both at this location and in other cities. This was not the first location for this chain that I have stayed at. Location: The hotel is located in a fairly central location. It is very close to Green Lake, though you'll need a map in order to know that. It's across the street from a KFC, 711, and Starbucks, and around the corner from a Burger King. There are also quite a few shared bikes (both electric and not) available from several different companies in front of the hotel. Amenities: Breakfast is available for an additional charge, and there is a laundry room. I used neither of these. The hotel room has a refrigerator and more than the standard two bottles of drinking water plus an electric kettle, tea set, two packets of tea, and some candy in a dish (that looked like it had been there for a very long time). This hotel chain is generally very good about giving you more water if you ask. The bed is very comfortable, the tv is huge, the shower is hot with good water pressure, and the room is clean overall. There were ink stains on the sofa, but no problems with the bedding. Some of the furniture/walls were starting to be in need of repair, but it's not a problem unless you're super picky. Safety/Service: The front desk staff are always very nice and helpful and willing to answer any questions that you have, but you'll need to speak Mandarin or have a translator handy. English is limited or non-existent. I felt safe in my room, and I didn't worry about leaving things in my room that I generally keep on my person in other hotels. The maid was also very kind and helped me when I saw her in the hallway and asked for help with a small problem (that was totally just my ignorance and too embarrassing to mention!). WIFI: Wifi is available, but there is no information about the network or password in the room that I could find. I went down to the front desk and the woman there put the password on my phone for me. Quiet: Well, there were some very loud and very rude guests staying in rooms near me. I don't know what the hotel's response would have been as I didn't all the front desk to complain. It definitely could have been quieter. There was no noise from outside the hotel, though. Problems: I stayed at this hotel three nights total but two times (one night at the beginning and two nights at the end of my trip). My second room at this hotel (when I stayed for two nights), there was a blinking light inside a grate in the ceiling that can only be seen when all the lights are out. It was really bothering me, and making it difficult for me to sleep. I called the front desk at approx. 12:30 in the morning, and they didn't quite understand my problem (completely due to my sub-par Mandarin), but they sent someone to take a look. The maintenance guy who came said he knew exactly what I was talking about once I pointed upward. He didn't need me to turn off the light and show him. He said there was nothing he could do. If they turned out that light, I would have no electricity in the room. He also said that it's like that in every room. I didn't remember seeing it in the first room I had stayed in at the beginning of my trip, and I also didn't remember it from when I had stayed for three nights at a different location. Whether it really exists in every room or not is here nor there, though it ought to be obvious that a blinking light that doesn't turn off when you turn all the lights off is a bad idea, and something ought to be done). It is possible that it exists in every room but that it's not visible from the bed in every room due to the placement of that grate.
Xishuangbanna Xiyu Hotel (Gaozhuang Xingguang Night Market Branch)

Gaozhuang/Starlight Night Market
There is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.

North Railway Station
The hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, not far from Nanping Pedestrian Street and Cuihu Park, which is very convenient for my travel. The boss's service attitude is also very good, kind and gentle to others. Great! The bed is also very comfortable to sleep on, and the decoration style is also the type I like. There is a North Railway Station next to it, and there are three subways, which is convenient to go anywhere. I will come to this hotel next time.
Anyu Dali Hotel

Dali Ancient City
A perfect accommodation experience. I like the style of the hotel so much that I don't want to go out at all. I just want to stay in the room and the public area terrace on the third floor. I think Anyu can be regarded as the best hotel in Dali Ancient Town. First of all, the hotel has a great location. It is located at the end of a main road. The surrounding area is very quiet and not noisy, but it is only a hundred meters away from the lively Renmin Road Street. It is very convenient to go out and find food. There are many delicious restaurants around. Secondly, the hotel service staff are very kind and friendly. The room is thoughtfully prepared with a canvas bag with the hotel logo, which contains a small bottle of Anessa and a set of nail clippers. Finally, I would like to praise the room type. The suite is really great. It is located on the top floor of the hotel, which is the third floor. When you walk out of the room, you will see the public area for afternoon tea and a terrace facing Cangshan Mountain. There is a coffee machine and tea and sparkling water in the public area that can be used at any time. In the morning, you can get a free American coffee in the public area and sit on the terrace to watch Cangshan Mountain in the fog. It is very enjoyable. When I checked out the next day, I was given a gift (a small suggestion, maybe the afternoon tea can be shared on the first floor, otherwise there will be too many people gathering for afternoon tea in the afternoon, and the guests living on the third floor will find it very noisy, and it will be a bit embarrassing to open the door and face a group of people looking at you. There will also be people smoking on the terrace, and the smoke will be blown into the room by the wind). Other than that, everything about this hotel is good, and I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future!
Lijiang Ancient City Yuezhuxuan Light Luxury Holiday Home
4.9/5926 Reviews
The Old Town of Lijiang
We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!
Deqin Guyu Huating Inn

Due to the adjustment of the itinerary, the original plan of 3 days of accommodation was changed to 1 day. The boss was very quick to help adjust the order. The room was clean and bright. The clothes drying rack was very considerate. There were problems with the toilet seat and the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The boss could fix it.
Lijiang Ancient City Yushe Inn

The Old Town of Lijiang
The front desk lady is nice and sweet, very polite and enthusiastic, and gave me travel suggestions. If you stay for 2 nights or more, you can pick up or drop off the airport once: pick up and drop off your luggage at the entrance of the scenic area with a tricycle. The breakfast is also very good, providing coffee, drinks and seasonal fruits. The only drawback: the room is small, and the sound of going up and down the stairs is very loud, especially when there are children staying, it is very noisy. Fortunately, the hotel is very considerate and has prepared earplugs. If you can't accept it, don't choose it.

Fairyland Hotel (Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street Baida)

Nanping Pedestrian Street
We are from Lijiang and are going back to Thailand. Stop over at Khun Ming for 1 night, choose a hotel near the walking street, surrounded by shopping areas. Coming to the hotel is easy, you can take the subway from the high-speed rail station, Line 2, Kunming Subway Station, pass 3 stations, change to Line 3 at Dongfeng Square Station, then continue 1 more station, get off at Wuyi Station. Exit this station and find a shopping area. Walk 2-300 meters to the hotel. There are 2 medium-sized bedrooms, and the bathroom shares a door. It's quite stiff and doesn't move very well. If you don't think too much about the quality of the room Selecting a location first is still acceptable.
