Awesome experience staying at Ramada Encore Kunming! Clean rooms, with very friendly and professional friend staff - front desk receptionist Ms Qixu, the cleaning crew (didn’t get her name but she had bun hair with a red bow) and many others. The gym was also big and functional! Also comes with laundry self service area. 10/10 experience staying here, and would definitely be back again!

The hotel's location is quite perfect. It is right at the border of Lijiang old town such that you just need to step outside to start exploration but it is also quiet to escape the busy streets for a good night's rest. Also, I'm a sucker for dumplings and there are some really nice places to get them in the direct vicinity. The people welcomed us with some tea and happily answered all of our questions about where to go and what to do. And the room... we felt quite tempted to just ignore the city and stay in our bathtub or just sit on our lovely balcony. TLDR: definitely worth visiting=)

It is very convenient to be able to control the lighting and air conditioning by voice. However, I don't like hotels that use such cutting-edge technology. I think it depends on the person.

Extremely good accommodation within the Dukezong Old Town. The owners are extremely friendly and kind towards us. They pick us up from the front gate to their hotel and back once we left too. Managed to help us book a bus ticket as well as secured a scooter for use around town. Rooms were very big and new, very well suited for long stay. Highly recommended!

What a welcome sight at the end of the first day hiking. Our room with the balcony was just superb. Being able to sit out on the balcony and take in the view was wonderful. Also the food was delicious. So nice to have some western breakfast options available . Pancakes were delicious.

Lobby is on level 6. Location easy to find. Didi from airport to hotel around 55rmb. Less then 10 mins walk to Nan Ping Food Street. Beside hotel is a small mall. Along the main road with many malls. Breakfast selection is good. Staffs are friendly & helpful. Very clean hotel. Trendy design. All toiletries provided. Good stay!

The staff here are really very nice! We arrived at the hotel at almost 10pm as we were travelling in from Dali, and after checking us in, they brought us to try the Yak Butter Tea (i hope i got it correct) even though it was so late. They were also nice enough to help us carry our heavy luggages to our room, as there's no lift. While the room we booked stated ”Mountain View”, the room we got faced the road outside with definitely no mountain view. So we enquired and was told that all rooms had no moutain view, and had to go to the rooftop (5th floor) to experience it. Nonethless, the view at the rooftop is lovely! And there's several of the staff's pets (i'm guessing) roaming around the rooftop area :) The room itself was huge, beds were huge and comfy as well. There's a voice assistant system in the room as well called ”Xiaobao”. But i guess as we were foreigners and perhaps our accents were different, we could not utilise Xiaobao, which was quite hilarious but thank goodness there's still manual controls in the room. For any housekeeping requests or questions, it's through wechat which was extremely convenient and they are very responsive even in the wee hours of the morning. There's a few smaller convenience stores around the hotel, and saw some bars but sadly did not have enough time to explore. This hotel is not situated at the main road, but it's just a short 3 min walk till there as some of the bigger vehicles may not be able to enter the small lane where the hotel is at (8-9 seater is still possible). Will definitely come and stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure all my requests were promptly addressed. The hotel's location was ideal, close to key attractions and public transportation, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

the hotel room is at great location. near to shopping mall and have lots of halal food choices. can just walk to nearby attractions as well like Nanping Streets, Shuncheng Mosque and Kunming Old Street. Got basic items like towel, toothbrush, hairdryer, mineral water. They have self service laundry room at level 4 and have steamer. I like that the hotel provide phone charger with several phone cables options. The hotel can help to keep your luggage after you checkout so it is a bonus. Give 4 stars because i found few hairs on the floor and the grout between toilet tiles on the wall has mold and not so clean. Anyway, i'm happy with this hotel.

Love everything about Mengjing Xiyue Hotel .The room was incredibly cozy & clean. There was even phone cables provided in the room. All the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. There were several choices of breakfast to select from. Healthy night sweet soups were served and delivered to room from 8pm onwards. Hotel also gave a little gift when we checked out. It was not easy to locate the hotel initially as it is somewhat hidden but once you know its location, the hotel is really convenient. There are shopping malls & food street nearby. Look forward to returning in the future.

The location is perfect for visiting the city and the people that manage the hotel are really friendly! They helped me out with everything! I advise you to go!

This is a well priced option in the city. It is about a 20-minute walk from the main Kunming railway station, so for those arriving at Kunming airport late when the metro has stopped running, you can take the airport bus to the railway station and walk to the hotel. The hotel is also a short 5 min walk away from the nearest metro station Tangzixiang, which is a convenient interchange station. There are only a few food options near the hotel but a walk to the Tangzixiang area throws up more. No amenities like a pool etc - typical of an Ibis but for the price paid, no complaints. Did not tru their breakfast so cannot comment. Night front desk staff can be a little rushed despite being professional.

Very clean and cozy room, close to the train station. The staff were very friendly and were able to allow me to check in early upon calling them up early, they also provided me with room upgrade which is fantastic. (Photo shows the projector in the room, which was very good quality and feels like in cinema).

Good location, 6mins walking distance to KunmIng station. Room is clean but there are few hotels in the same building and sharing the four lifts.

The location is very good, surrounded by famous restaurants and in the center of the old town. The service is also very good, Ming helped us to carry the luggage upon arrival and he was very helpful to us. The room comes with a bath tub and daily cleaning service. The room is pretty big enough to open our big luggages. They provided daily amenities too.

was a smooth stay with very caring hosts to look out for you and recommend places to go / eat at. also extra thankful they made arrangements and reached out via trip when i was checking in at the wee hours of 1.30am. Venue is great, because in lijiang ancient town cars can’t enter so this spot is right beside the roads/exits so you don’t have to pull your luggage around too long

We really enjoyed our stay here 😊😊 From when we first check in, the lady and the male receptionist help with both our heavy luggages to the 3rd floor. They are so strong!! When we check out early in the morning, the guy also helped carry our luggages all the way down. Thanks for that. So what can I say... The room - it huge!!! It has everything you need in this room, and I mean everything. We loved the filter water with both hot and cold. Make it so much easier and convenient. They also provide oxygen and humidifier if you ever need it. Then there is the smart toilet, which is so nice and also has auto flush. The water pressure is good and good heating too. Lastly, not to mention the little washing machine, which comes in handy!! Please note, the cleaning lady only do basic top up if you are still staying in the room. But don't be afraid to ask them if you need them to do a full clean. Location - it less than 5 mins walk to the old town, so very convenient. This is great as it is not inside the old town which means car cannot drive in and will be a problem carrying luggages in the old town. Service - excellent. From the people that greet you to the cleaning lady, they are all very friendly and helpful. Also receive a leaving gift when we check out. Overall, I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in this hotel!

Not just the nice aesthetics of the Inn and the view of the upper level rooms, the hosts are extremely hospitable! 超哥 helped us to arrange transport of our luggages to the 客栈 as it was too painful to drag our heavy luggages on the stone pebbled floors. He also kindly helped us to book local tours to Yulong Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge - look for them for the tours as prices are cheaper and more value for money. One of the host even woke up at 6am just to make sure his customers and us manage to get to the right tour group. 超哥 also invited us to join his crew for bbq dinner on one of the nights. Everyone is so very friendly. Room is very clean. He even gave us a free upgrade on our first night and the room was beautiful. Has a private bathtub and private balcony overlooking the ancient village. One of the best homestay inn ever! I highly recommend this place if you are coming to Lijiang.

A very nice place, short walk from the ancient city but far enough away from the hustle bustle of the ancient city. Overall clean place and the owner is usually found sipping tea at the lobby. You can join him for a chit chat or get his help to book tours or buy stuff like tea or flower cakes. He is very professional and subtle in his selling approach. Breakfast is mixian 米线 served with sides by an older lady. Delicious! Lots of other food options nearby

Super loved our stay at Intercontinental Lijiang. Hotel location is fantastic, the main entrance is along the road hence cars can enter and drop you off directly at the main lobby. The side gate of the hotel leads directly into the ancient town. There is no need to drag your luggage through the rocky roads of the ancient town. Buggy service to and fro the main lobby and rooms are available 24/7. Amenities are good, with an indoor pool and sauna as well as a in-house spa centre. The cafe in the lobby has a very beautiful view of the snow mountain, and is nice to have tea there to enjoy the view. They even have a dyson hair dryer in every room too. Highly recommend 👍🏼

Amazing place where you meet lovely helpful brothers who own the place and staffers that is so helpful! The amazing view of the snow mountain as backdrop and the awesome garden of flowers on rooftop cafe. It is a walk up but the have staff to help carry your luggage. Clean rooms but just need a bath mat. Especially A Fu one of the baristas and the Aunty that does the morning shift! Awesome place and awesome people! Thank you for an enjoyable stay! Walking distance to few local parks and the Black Dragon Pool ( 15 minutes) and then you are next to the Ancient Town

Me and friends chose this guest house as our last stay in Lijiang. We just came back from our Shangrila and Yading trip. We fell in love with the place. We should’ve stay for more days here. The room is perfect. They have everything you need. The bathtub, washing machine, comfortable bed even give you breakfast and fruits. The owner is really really nice and very down to earth. One of the brother (big brother) also very funny, will always give you his biggest smile. His laugh is indeed contagious. Even though we only stay for one night, the service is really top notch. They will help with your luggage when you are check in and out. I highly recommend this stay for foreigner like us, because the brothers are really nicest people that I know in Lijiang. They are very genuine and kind. They also run a tea shop next door and grow their own tea! How cool is that! Highly recommend this guest house when you’re staying in Lijiang. The place is close to old town gate. Easy to get didi. Just walk within 5 min to the main road (near Intercontinental hotel). Thank you brothers! I will see you again when I come to Lijiang!

A little gem just around the corner from the lively part of town. Inside the Ancient City and near the East Gate where buses leave for local and long distance destinations. The young owners are very caring and make sure you have everything you need. They advise you on travel tips. The room was very good, quiet, bright, modern, and had a very comfortable king size bed and a small table with two chairs. Darkening blinds made sure it was dark at night. The bathroom was quite roomy and modern. The building has 3 floors, there is no elevator, but the owners help you with your luggage. I highly recommend this lovely inn with its kind owners and would stay here again. A big thank you!

The view from this hotel is amazing! You will be impressed! They also provide pickup and dropoff from the train station, which is absolutely convenient. Breakfast provided is pretty good too, I am happy to have them every morning! Owner also kindly offer guests warm milk at night, which is surprisingly nice. If you need any tour, booking or help around town, the owner is right there to assist. Will highly recommend this accommodation!

Despite being located in the ancient city, the hotel is remarkably quiet, thanks to its excellent soundproofing. The friendly reception and spotless rooms offer great value for money.

Super friendly staff who recommended nice dinner places. Room is a bit small, but this hotel is located in the ancient city, so it is understandable. There is construction going on at the main street outside the hotel, so you have to pull your luggage across a few alleys. Breakfast not included.

The location is nearby the ancient city and it is within walking distance. We got the upgraded room since we checkin earlier out from the checkin hours. The only problem is that you have to carry the luggage up to the floor you stay and is quite a distance and tough to walk from the counter to the room. The accommodation did provide drinking water machine so stay hydrated guys!

The view from the rooftop is spectacular, with delicious afternoon tea and “suyoucha” testing session hosted at the rooftop. The homestay locate at a quiet and peaceful street, 15mins walking distance away from Lijiang Old Town, with a lot of eateries and convenient shops around. The staffs constantly checked on us, helping us with all of our enquiry and also our MeiTuan delivery!

Dali was a relatively unfamiliar name to me. From the temporary station in Dali to the entrance of the Pullman Hotel, everything seemed indistinguishable from other small to medium-sized cities. However, during my two-day stay at this hotel, I encountered the attentive Beata at the front desk, the ever-smiling and enthusiastic Felix in the lobby, and the kind-hearted driver Xiao Bao. They truly made me feel at home. Thanks to the recommendations of Felix and Beata, we were fortunate to have Xiao Bao as our guide for a day trip around Erhai Lake. Like many other tourists, we admired Cangshan Mountain, enjoyed the views of Erhai, tasted Xi Zhou Baba, got sunburnt, and took some mediocre photos—memories that might fade over time. Perhaps I won’t often recall the stories Xiao Bao shared about the history of the Dali Kingdom, the transformation of Yunnan’s war god into a mythical creature, or the customs of the Bai people’s weddings, the local treasures, and peculiarities. But what Xiao Bao left us with was a deeper connection and more unforgettable memories. I will remember how Xiao Bao passionately and vividly introduced his hometown to us. I will remember how he diligently and safely drove us for nine hours in one day, enduring the scorching sun while showing us the scenic spots around Erhai. He gave us a beautiful day. He added warmth and color to Cangshan and Erhai, bringing out an unparalleled shade of blue, perhaps the same deep indigo blue that the Bai people cherish. Though our two days in Dali were short, they were filled with meaning, leaving me with a sense of longing as I departed. I believe I will remember Dali for a long time, and I will fondly think of the people I met here. I hope Dali’s sun is gentle, so Xiao Bao’s sensitive skin feels more comfortable. Thank you, Xiao Bao, and the Pullman staff who took care of us these past two days. Dali, I will often think of you. Because of you all, this place is truly wonderful and beautiful and memorable.

Our hotel booking included a free pick-up service, which was a fantastic start to our stay. After chatting with the driver, we decided to book him for a two-day tour around Dali, which turned out to be a great decision. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Although there was no lift and our room was on the third floor, the hotel staff were very helpful in transferring our luggage both to and from our room. It seems that many accommodations in Dali don’t have lifts, so this assistance was much appreciated. We were pleasantly surprised with free gifts and desserts provided by the hotel, adding a special touch to our stay. However, the breakfast selections were only so-so and could use some improvement. The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is quite close to the old ancient city, allowing us to walk there early in the morning and take photos with minimal people around. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent service and convenient location.

Highly recommended. Definitely will come again! We booked 3 rooms over here for 1 night. Shop owner is really very helpful, suggested us tourist spots (which is really a steal, and amazing) and even helped us arrange and book for it. (Because we didn’t do much research before coming) And allowed my bro for late check out as he had food poisoning and had to rest in room. He even went all the way to accompany us to wait for car (he booked car for us as well) when we were late for our train. 大力推荐！在这里租了三间房间。 老板人实在太好太友善了。也非常尽责，为我们安排了拉市海一日游（因为我们没做功课，没能去到玉龙雪山）。（老板推荐的也是非常可靠的，绝不坑人） 还陪我们等待车，确保我们安全。 我哥因为泻肚子，只好在房休息，老板还很宽容让他延迟出房。 下次肯定还会再入住这里。

From the very moment we entered the place we just felt like this is a home away from home. We received a very warm welcome then a free afternoon tea plus free fruits pretty much anytime. The bedroom was cozy with a nice mattress and beddings. They even prepared a foot bath at evening with a nice warm sweet soup dessert. The breakfast was great, once again can't mention enough about the lakeside view while you enjoyed your breakfast. The place has an amazing lakeside view that you can watch sunset sitting outside with a nice cup of coffee or just sitting outside enjoying the sun. A couple of things worth mentioning. We had a small medical emergency and the owner actually drove me to a nearby pharmacy to pickup some medication. They even helped me with my laundry for free. I never seen any owner of a place that willing to walk that extra mile for me. Thanks for having us as your guests and we will definitely recommend your place to all our friends.
