"It's not a new building. It felt like staying at my grandma's house. There was some black mold in the bathtub and the pillow smelled a bit (though my nose might just be too sensitive). It wasn't unhygienic, but don't expect a new, sparkling clean room. They lent me a kettle and pool towels, which was nice. The staff were very good. The location is excellent for swimming as the sea is very close. The best part is the cost-performance. For this price, with breakfast, partial ocean view, and in a good location, it's fantastic. The food was delicious every day! I especially liked the miso soup and the three kinds of fruit. Even on the day of the typhoon when the power went out, they still let us have the buffet and eat in our rooms!"

"The hotel's location is great, and the room is spacious. The breakfast tasted good! However, there was an unreasonable charge: I was traveling with my child, and my credit card was overcharged by over $100 for the child's breakfast, even though breakfast for two was already included in the room rate. "The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around, shopping, and dining. What was really frustrating is that I booked through an agent, and the amount I was told to pay at check-in was significantly less than what the hotel actually charged. When I contacted Trip.com, they said the agent told them the final payment should be based on what the hotel charges, and that I should negotiate with the hotel directly. I absolutely cannot accept this kind of buck-passing, or even fraudulent, behavior from an agent. Trip.com eventually compensated me for my loss, so they were quite proactive in resolving the issue. I strongly advise everyone to avoid booking through agents; they need to be held accountable for their actions!"

"Staying in Hawaii, this hotel near Waikiki Beach and Kalakaua Avenue is beautiful and great for shopping. In Hawaii, definitely splurge on an ocean-view room – don't be stingy! At Halepuna, you get a complimentary reusable water bottle and slippers. You don't even need to bring your own toiletries; just ask, and they'll send them up. Plus, it's connected to Halekulani for breakfast, and you can charge it to your room. I have to say, Trip.com was amazing this time! My flight arrived early at just past 9 AM, and I had requested an early check-in through Trip.com the day before. By 10:30 AM, my room was already ready. The service was absolutely fantastic!"

"This was my first trip to Hawaii, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel! It's super convenient – the trolley stop is right in front of the hotel, and the beach is just across the street. It was perfect for getting anywhere we wanted to go.
I thought I had booked a room with a view of both the beach and Diamond Head, but it turned out to be an oceanfront room on the 10th floor. The view was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing.
I did notice the walls seemed a bit thin. At night, we could clearly hear loud music from the room next door and a baby crying, haha. I guess it probably varies from room to room.
The complimentary water server and free beach towel service were really handy! Plus, there were plenty of souvenir shops, a gelato place, and cafes, which made our stay even more enjoyable."

"The location was fantastic, only about a 7-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The hotel staff were also very kind. Housekeeping comes every three days. I really appreciated that they lend out towels for the beach; it was great! After using them, you return the towels in the lobby, which kept our room from getting messy. Once we returned a towel, we got our lending card back, so we could borrow another one the next day when visiting different beaches. We rented a car and paid for parking. We were told we could park anywhere, but when we found it full and mentioned it, they moved one of the hotel's cars for us. For this price and location, I'm absolutely delighted! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to save money but doesn't want to stay in a hostel, and prefers a clean place at the very least. Also, there's a poke place nearby called ''Maguro Spot'' that always had a long line. I was curious, tried it, and it was absolutely delicious – highly recommend!"

"Located at the start of Waikiki Beach, to the left you'll find Waikiki Beach and the shopping street, and to the right is Ala Moana, the largest outdoor mall – all within walking distance. Picture 1 shows the bus stop in front of the mall. I used Uber these past few days, so I didn't get to experience the public bus. In front of the hotel is the Hilton lagoon (Picture 2), which is great for kids to play in, as the sand on Waikiki Beach can be a bit coarse. As for the hotel's interior, it's pretty much what you'd expect from an older property. There's a laundry room on the second floor where you can get ice and drinking water. There's also a very small pool. The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely that they don't charge a resort fee."

"Great location, just a few minutes from Waikiki Beach. We booked an ocean view room, which was beautiful, and the view wasn't obstructed by the parking lot. The balcony was lovely, very relaxing to sit there, eat, and enjoy the ocean view.
The best part was that even though I'm not a member, they gave me my room at 12 PM, which was incredibly thoughtful.
The Asian cleaning lady was exceptionally kind and enthusiastic every time she saw us. We didn't leave a big tip, but she still thanked us repeatedly and even offered us coffee.
Beach towels can be picked up and returned by scanning your room card. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the first floor, opening at 6 AM."

The hotel itself is better than expected; You can tell that they went through a massive renovation in order to give a chill vibes based stay (on the outside). Inside of the room, it’s definitely an old hotel… I liked the furniture, but the windows were too open for my liking (you get the feeling that anyone can look into your room); Not as much of an issue since we used the curtains! The bath towels were covered in hair (ranging from long strands to tiny ***** pieces) which I found to be disgusting. The staff were more than willing to switch out the towels (there was still hair on them but a little dusting off mainly did the job). There was tiny ***** hair pieces in the bathtub as well, but I washed them down the drain so no biggie. The main issue that I had with this stay was that you could hear everything that was going on in rooms next door or outside. We heard loud screaming and fighting into the early ams, and it took a while for them to stop. This is not the hotel’s fault, but if you do stay here, keep in mind that the rooms aren’t very spacious, you can hear everything, and there might be hair in your towels. Overall, I really loved staying here and found it to be quite charming. The view in front of the hotel is INSANE. Though I listed negative traits about this hotel, I feel that it’s important to give some transparency to readers of this review. Mostly everyone goes into a hotel thinking that it’s 1000% clean and perfect. However, for me, the negative reviews are what I look for so that I know what to expect. You will definitely love the vibes and views this hotel has to offer, as well as the friendliness of the staff who worlds here.

I booked a partial ocean view garden room and was extremely satisfied with it. The room was large and clean, with a beautiful garden view and a distant view of the sea. The hotel is perfect for relaxing; you could easily spend a whole day lounging on one of the tree chairs. There's a small shopping center just a five or six-minute walk away, offering convenient shopping and dining options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
