Hotel near Kyoto Station and surrounding areas,Kyoto 31% of visitors choose this area

This hotel is conveniently located near Kyoto Station, making it super easy to get to from Kansai Airport – it's right outside the station! The soundproofing is excellent; once you close the window, you can barely hear any noise. There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants inside the station, so dining is a breeze. The room itself is quite spacious for Japanese standards. Check-in and check-out are self-service, which is convenient. It's perfect if you're planning to take the JR or Kintetsu lines to explore nearby cities. However, if you're mainly looking to explore Kyoto city, it might not be as convenient as you'll have a bit of a walk to catch a bus.

The breakfast was very delicious and had a wide variety of choices. Everything tasted great and I never got bored of it even after a few days. The onsen was also very comfortable and relaxing — it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day. I also really liked the shampoo and bath amenities provided by the hotel; they smelled amazing and made my hair feel very smooth. Another nice touch was that the hotel provided free laundry washing, although the dryer required a small fee. They also offered free ramen at night, which was a really nice service, but I was too full to try it at the time. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again!

This is a long-established hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, the city's main transportation hub. The rooms are spacious with large windows that let in plenty of light. For breakfast, you have a choice of two restaurants: one is a rotating restaurant on a high floor with great views, offering a set menu. The other is a buffet on the first floor with a very rich selection. The downsides are the lack of laundry facilities, the bathroom isn't wet/dry separated, and the room lighting is a bit dim.

Facilities: The microwave was a highlight, making it easy to heat up meals. Hygiene: I chose this hotel based on a recommendation from Xiaohongshu. My most basic requirement for a hotel is cleanliness. I was really angry to see stains directly on the bedding. As for other details, I couldn't bear to look closely. The water stains on the sink weren't even wiped clean, to the point where I didn't dare to use their bath towels. Environment: The hotel lobby environment is very good, and there's a supermarket nearby, which is great. However, it's quite far if you want to take the subway, especially with luggage.

A truly comfortable stay. The hotel boasts a fantastic design aesthetic, from the lobby to the rooms, seamlessly blending Japanese aesthetics with modern design. The in-room lighting is superb, and both the bed and sofa were incredibly comfortable. The space is generous enough for two people, so it never felt cramped. The location is superb; it's in a quiet area, yet just a short walk to bustling areas. Convenience stores and restaurants are abundant nearby. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided impeccable service. Outstanding value for money.

After landing in Osaka, I took the Hello Kitty train directly to Kyoto Station. From there, I transferred to the Karasuma Line for two stops and exited from exit 4 (which has an elevator 🛗). Upon exiting, there's a 7-Eleven on the left, and the hotel is just a 2-minute walk further, up a long hallway to the second floor. The service in Kyoto is always excellent. I was able to find a good price before the May Day holiday. I've stayed at Mitsui before, but the location here is even better, with bus stops closer. Kiyomizu-dera, Arashiyama, and Kinkaku-ji are all just one stop away. The breakfast is traditional Kyoto style, light and delicious, and the elderly ladies serving were very polite. The front desk also provides a wide variety of toiletries.

Overall, my stay at the Kyoto Arala Hotel was pretty good. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from Kyoto Station, making it super easy to get to various attractions and transfer to other transportation. There are also plenty of convenience stores and drugstores nearby, which is very handy. The room layout was well-designed, and the bedding was comfortable, so I slept really well during my stay. The hotel's on-site hot spring was a major highlight; soaking in it after a day of sightseeing completely washed away my fatigue. The staff were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were quick. All the facilities were excellent. I particularly appreciated the front desk service that allowed me to courier my luggage from Kyoto to Tokyo, saving me from having to lug my suitcase on the Shinkansen, which was incredibly convenient. The only downside was the extremely slow and unstable Wi-Fi in the room. Streaming videos, browsing the web, and even replying to WeChat messages often resulted in buffering or no connection at all. For all four days, I had to use my own mobile data in the room, and I really hope they can improve this aspect. Putting the Wi-Fi issue aside, this hotel offers great overall value for money.

Hotel was super clean and staff was lovely but the rooms were exceptionally small - if you are travelling with babies or kids it will feel like a small box. The side table space was incredibly tight too! The onsen was an amazing addition but again amenities like microwave (to sterilise baby bottles) were all in the basement. The hotel close-ish to the kyoto station but not to gion … there isnt heaps to eat around the hotel either. I think the size of the room just ruined the experience a bit for us but otherwise it is a nice hotel with lovely staff!

The hotel is just one subway stop away from Kyoto Station. There's a shuttle bus that runs between the hotel and Kyoto Station, and you can get discount coupons at the hotel lobby. It's 100 yen per ride for both adults and children. On the second floor, there's a restaurant, and on the first floor, there are shops and experience centers for flower arrangement, tea ceremony, and pottery. The hotel also provides discount coupons for dining on the second floor, with no restrictions on use. Each coupon is worth 1000 yen, and we received and used all four of them. Behind the hotel is the Central Fish Market. I recommend visiting between 4-5 AM to witness the wholesale auction. We arrived at 5:45 AM and it was almost over. If waking up that early is too difficult, exploring all the exhibitions in the corridor on the second floor will also provide a lot of interesting insights. Next to the hotel are Umekoji Park, an aquarium, and a railway museum, making it very suitable for families with children. The hotel rooms are spacious, and the hot spring on the third floor is very comfortable. There's also a rooftop on the ninth floor where you can enjoy the night view.

We had a good experience in this hotel. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom is nice, the space is small but comfortable. You can store your luggage under the beds, which works great to have more space. The staff is also friendly, and the location is pretty good. The smoking area is really small and cold. But all in all we had a great time in here.

MMaverickWhen we first got there, there wasn’t any staff at the reception, apparently to call them, you would have to pick up the phone on the front desk. Although the staff speak limited English, they are friendly and accommodating. There was PLENTY of space in the room, being able to open 2 big luggage’s with room to walk around. There was the minor inconvenience of having to pack our belongings and put to a side for check out every day, and check in again. The breakfast of 2 options (Western/Japanese style) was a tad bit too salty for our liking. We had the chance to utilise the roof top onsen, and which was quite a refreshing experience. The location is 10/15mins away from the nearest train station, so not very convenient when we were pushing our luggages to the hotel.

山ちゃん32This is a love hotel located right by Meishin Kyoto South Interchange. I stayed here alone, lol. I just needed a place to sleep, so I wasn't expecting much, but it was surprisingly comfortable. The amenities were on par with a 5-star hotel. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi and a TV, and there was even a massage chair. The hotel staff were also very attentive.

GGuest UserI saw no reviews before ordering, so I commented. The hotel is a relatively small hotel with maybe 10 rooms in total. Most of them are foreigners. The hotel service is very good. The breakfast is not a buffet, but there are many varieties. The salad is delicious even though I don’t like salad. My girlfriend can’t get up early. He Will also be delivered to the room
