"First off, the hotel's location is superb. It's a five-minute walk from JR Kannai Station, thirty seconds from a subway station, and about eight minutes from Bashamichi Station, making it incredibly convenient whether you're exploring Yokohama or heading into Tokyo. For shopping, there are two or three convenience stores nearby, and a shopping street just across the road, so buying anything is a breeze. Car rental is also very convenient, with a Toyota Rent a Car service point within a five-minute walk, and plenty of affordable parking lots around.
As for cleanliness and facilities, it's pretty standard for a business hotel. They still clean every three days, and you have to leave your trash bin outside your door before you go out, which is a minor inconvenience.
The most inconvenient aspect of the service is that you have to go to the front desk to get towels and bath towels yourself, which leads to a significant difference in service quality. One older gentleman provided excellent service; he always asked how many I needed and packed the towels nicely in a bag. However, the younger staff I encountered lacked this awareness. They seemed a bit impatient with foreign guests and didn't bag the towels, making me carry them by hand. This is definitely an area that needs significant improvement."

"I had a very pleasant stay at New Otani Inn. The staff member who checked me in was exceptionally nice, kind, and welcoming. She even kindly allowed me to check in 30 minutes earlier than the official check-in time, which I really appreciated. She was also the same staff member who assisted me with my check-out, and her service was consistently warm and professional throughout my stay.
I also really loved the ReFa hairdryer provided in the room—it was a great touch!
The breakfast was good and enjoyable, although I felt that the selection was a little limited and could have had more options.
One area that could be improved is the TV. It wasn’t very smart, and I couldn’t use streaming services such as Netflix or YouTube. Having a smart TV with these options would make the room experience even better.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and especially appreciated the excellent service from the staff. I would be happy to stay again."

Our ultra large-scale hotel offer 2,311 rooms across 35 above-ground floors and 2 basement floors.
"As always, APA hotels are very affordable and well-located. This particular APA stood out with an extremely extravagant lobby—honestly the best I’ve ever seen at any APA property. The spa facilities were also nice.
However, my room wasn’t as clean as expected. I noticed stains on both the bedsheet and the curtains, which was disappointing. Also, the front desk wasn’t flexible when I requested a 2:30 PM check-in (I understand the standard time is 3 PM, but a little flexibility would have been appreciated).
Overall, great public areas and value!"

"This hotel offers incredible value for money. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan, and there's a lounge available from 2 PM to 9 PM with complimentary drinks and snacks, including wine. It's really pleasant to unwind in the lobby after a long day of sightseeing, munching on some dried fruits and sipping a glass of wine.
We booked a twin room, and for some reason, the two beds were pushed together. Perhaps it makes the room appear larger. The hotel doesn't provide shower caps among its amenities, so if you usually use one, remember to bring your own.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Red Brick Warehouse, and Yokohama Chinatown is just a few minutes' walk away. The Minatomirai Line is about a 5-minute walk, and JR stations are roughly 10 minutes on foot. Overall, the location is extremely convenient."

"OMG, there were bugs everywhere in our room, and for the price we paid, it was extremely disappointing.
The buffet offered a wide variety of food options, which was a positive, but the sheer number of guests made the experience feel crowded, noisy, and far less premium than we expected from a hotel in this price range.
Another frustrating issue involved some items my family accidentally left behind. My brother left an Apple charger adapter, and my father left a dental kit in the room. After checking out, we asked our next hotel to call and notify the property. We then spent around 30 minutes traveling back to retrieve the items, only to be told by the front desk that nothing had been found. What was even more disappointing was being told that it was ”not possible” for us to have left the items there because they would have been found if they had been left behind.
Rather than helping investigate the situation, the staff seemed more interested in dismissing our concerns. Whether the items were misplaced, overlooked during housekeeping, or genuinely not found, being told that our account of events was impossible was both frustrating and unprofessional.
Overall, this stay fell well below our expectations, especially considering the price point. Unfortunately, the issues with room cleanliness, the crowded atmosphere, and the handling of our lost-property inquiry left us with a very negative impression."

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for great service, a comfortable stay, and good facilities.

PK KhambyenThe hotel offers a good traditional experience. However, the location may not be ideal for early travellers or those without their own transportation, as it is not close to the train station and taxis can be difficult to find. I reserved an Uber the night before, but the driver could not be found at the scheduled time. Breakfast only opens from 7 am, and the hotel’s transfer service is available only from 9 am to 6 pm.

Check-in is via advance registration. There's a cafe on the ground floor with delicious burgers. We arrived early. They kindly agreed to store our luggage until check-in, so we went for a walk without any luggage. It's quite noisy before closing, but it's not a distraction, but you need to be prepared. But after closing, it's quiet. We were lucky with our neighbors. The hostel has three rooms. The common area is equipped with a water cooler with sugar and cream for coffee, a microwave, and a board for booking an onsen. The onsen is small but lovely. :) The cafe staff will help with check-in if needed. They are very polite and pleasant. Burgers can be ordered to your room. The room itself is very atmospheric, Japanese-style. It was chilly, but the room had an air purifier, an air conditioner with a heating function, and a separate heater, for which we were especially grateful. The bedding is nice and comfortable. The room was quite dusty in some places, but it didn't bother us personally. However, you need to be prepared that this is not a luxury hotel, but a very atmospheric place with its own vibe and energy.

The room is larger than the average business hotel Separate toilet and bathroom bathroom are very large
There is a big TV for you to watch AV for free
The underground fan only produces warm air. Once it is turned on, it is so hot that it sweats
The cold box keeps making a slight ringing due to internal frost
You can go out after check-in but you have to pay your room card to the front desk

The environment is very good, the hotel is a pleasant experience on the mountain. There are indoor hot springs in all rooms. We live in Room 11 and have a lot of space about 35 square meters. There is a lounge for a smooth drink and food in the hotel, and the breakfast is very good. Will come again next time.
