"The room was tiny and definitely not worth the price. Breakfast was ridiculously expensive – the priciest we've encountered in all of Iceland, which felt even worse given how expensive the room itself was. On top of that, they charged us full price for our 8-year-old's breakfast, while other hotels we stayed at either offered half price or free breakfast for kids. I wouldn't recommend this place. It might be an 'influencer-favored' hotel, but the value for money is terrible."

"Excellent! The hotel's location right off Highway 1 is perfect, and it's a very striking and beautiful building. The facilities are great, the room is spacious, clean, and tidy, and there's a sauna and two semi-open-air hot spring pools. After a full day exploring the Glacier Lagoon in the cold weather, a soak in the hot springs and a sauna session were incredibly relaxing. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the food was good too. They also offer free ice and water to guests, and the breakfast was superb, with everything you could ask for. Every food item and coffee beverage was high quality. Definitely a night that was excellent value for money."

"We are really disappointed at the stay of the Aurora Igloo as it didn’t mention that there’s no toilet inside the room. We have to walk for 100m outside to get the bathroom as the winter is so cold and windy in December. Moreover, the hotel heater isn’t working really well, so we didn’t stay for the second night. As we have spoken to the owner, he says that we are able to receive refund in to my card. Thank you."

"The hotel room is spacious and the breakfast has a pretty decent spread of food choices. There is even sauna and hotspring services provided with towels provided. The room is spacious and warm. The bathroom is spacious with strong pressure of warm water. There is even a coffee machine provided in the room. However, the price is expensive in my personal opinion. The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the central town of Vik with a lot of eateries, petrol station and shopping areas. Overall, it is still highly recommended if budget permits."

"Hótel Grímsborgir is absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, right next to the Golden Circle, making it easy to drive to all the attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and each one has its own private hot tub or a shared one. Soaking in the hot tub and stargazing at night is incredibly therapeutic~ The breakfast spread is varied and fresh, and the staff are all very enthusiastic. I definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Iceland! Highly recommended for self-driving travelers looking to relax!"

The hotel has 36 rooms - all newly restored with private bathroom and shower. Breakfast is served in the early hours and for lunch and dinner - guests can try out the multiple restaurants located in Hofn. For fun - guests can snowmobile - go on glacier trips - go ice climbing - mountaineering - glacial lagoon cruising - visit the swimming pools with hot tubs at Hofn - golf - or visit the folk - natural history and maritime museums.
"The sunset was absolutely stunning! The hotel is located right by the harbor, offering beautiful window views. The facilities are brand new, breakfast is included, and parking is convenient. Plus, it's only a 3-minute walk to that famous lobster restaurant. I have to give a special shout-out to the bearded guy at the front desk – he was incredibly helpful! He even carried our luggage, effortlessly lugging a 28-inch suitcase and a 30-liter backpack (easily 40kg total) up to the second floor by himself. What a powerhouse!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Black Beach Suites—my family absolutely loved it.
The rooms are beautifully designed, with a darker interior that likely helps reduce light pollution for aurora viewing. We were fortunate enough to see the northern lights twice—once right after checking in near the reception area, and again in the middle of the night. In addition, the views of the Reynisfjara black sand beach just behind the hotel are absolutely stunning and add so much to the overall experience.
We were only able to book one night as the rest of the dates were fully taken, which honestly says a lot about how popular this place is.
The staff were friendly and helpful, even while busy managing the bar. I asked one of the staff members about weather and driving conditions for the rest of our trip around Iceland, and she went out of her way to provide useful information.
The only downside was the sofa bed, which had a noticeable large dip in the middle and was quite uncomfortable compared to the main beds. It may benefit from an upgrade or an alternative setup."

The hotel is very beautiful, directly in front of the lawn cow, or stand or sit or lie, overlooking the Wattner glacier, cattle ceiling.
The room is fully equipped and the soundproofing is poor, but the foreigners are very familiar. The noisy restaurant leisure area has stopped after 11:00.

In the hotel on the farm, the view is very good, the room is simple but quite clean, next to Highway 1, the window of the room can see the glacier, the front desk has always had chocolate biscuits, breakfast if you sit by the window scenery is a must! There is a self-pressed berry juice sour and very refreshing, there is a toast with melon seeds and croissants, the milk in the milk machine is iced, so be careful if you soak cereal!
