"I used to be stuck on my phone every night when I stayed at hotels, but this time at Shangshe, the experience was elevated! The public area's audio-visual room has a huge screen and fantastic sound. Plus, the butler organized movie nights, and the dark, industrial-themed environment was incredibly immersive. I even swapped a Tianjin Eye fridge magnet for a vintage license plate at the magnet exchange – those little touches really appeal to collectors like me! The room itself maintained the signature rugged industrial style, but the soft bedding was a delightful contrast. It’s just a few minutes' walk from Tianjin Station, so transport is no problem at all. For less than 100 per person, to get this kind of atmosphere, it's definitely great value for money."

"Coming to Tianjin, I wanted to visit Dabeiyuan Temple. I checked and found that the Holiday Inn has an excellent location, just a few hundred meters' walk from the Ferris wheel, the cruise terminal, and Dabeiyuan Temple, which is incredibly convenient. There are also many great food options nearby, and takeout is easy, with even a small robot delivering meals. I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in many years, and you can tell it's a long-standing international hotel. The front desk lady helped us upgrade our room type. The scenic view room was very spacious, and the king-size bed was perfectly fine for a family of three. You could choose between soft and firm pillows, and there was a bathtub. The highlight was genuinely excellent soundproofing, allowing us to get a peaceful night's rest. The breakfast was extensive, with both Chinese and Western options. Tianjin specialties like doufunao (tofu brain), gaba cai (mung bean pancake soup), and jianbing guozi (savory crepes) were all available. The hotel has both underground and ground parking, with plenty of spaces. You just scan a QR code when checking out to get a free parking voucher. This location is truly fantastic, and the price is relatively reasonable too. I highly recommend it!"

"I traveled with my parents and we got to experience both the old and new buildings. In the old building, we stayed in the Cai E and Huang Xing rooms, both with their own unique decor. The rooms in the new building were standard. The front desk was very thoughtful and helped us coordinate rooms on the same floor. We also got a free room when we topped up our membership, which was a pleasant surprise. Although I might not stay here again if I return to Tianjin, I can at least transfer it to someone else. The dining service was excellent. We arrived at the restaurant at 6 PM. We didn't know we needed to reserve a table for dinner and had a boat tour at 7:30 PM, so there wasn't enough time to go out and find another restaurant. The manager of the buffet restaurant, upon learning of our situation, enthusiastically helped us find a table quickly. The parking was particularly impressive; despite limited spaces, they always managed to help us find one. The hotel also provided a free boat tour, and the staff were very friendly and patient with our questions. The museum had many old artifacts; the typewriter was especially nostalgic, reminding me of the crisp 'ding' sound when changing lines on the one I had as a child. Before leaving, we couldn't find new fridge magnets, but the staff were very patient and asked us to point out which ones we wanted, then retrieved new ones directly from the warehouse. The biggest issue was the complimentary photo service, which I only learned about on the way home and significantly dampened the overall experience of this trip. My parents, both elderly, went for the photoshoot. The service for seniors was perfunctory; the person in charge casually gave them unwashed clothes and didn't allow them to choose. In contrast, other younger guests could select their own outfits. When asked where they could take photos, the staff member simply told my parents to 'listen to instructions.' When both my parents wanted to take pictures on the stairs, the photographer refused to photograph one of them. Each room is entitled to three free photos, so with two rooms, my parents had six free ones. Perhaps because they perceived seniors as having low spending power, the overall service and attitude towards them were noticeably different from that given to other customers, who received patient explanations. After the shoot, there were no makeup remover wipes, so my parents had to return to their room to remove their makeup. I paid 320 yuan for five photos, which was very few considering they barely took ten pictures of each parent. At the time, I thought, 'A century-old hotel is different, huh?' Compared to the market where you can often choose from hundreds of photos, this was a minimalist approach. Who would have thought they were just too lazy to serve? As a service industry, especially a century-old hotel, the discriminatory service attitude of this photography department is surprising and completely out of sync with other departments. There's nothing wrong with adding projects to attract customers, but not at the expense of service quality. Regardless of how much they spend, all customers are customers. Do I, a customer, really need to teach them such a basic principle?"

"The hotel has send off service to the hotel. There is also a convenient store and several restaurants nearby. However, the staff I met on the day I left the hotel was not helpful. I am not Chinese and had no Chinese phone number but i needed to send some samples to my Chinese provider by delivery express. I had to take an early flight so i was really in hurry to get on the bus so i asked her for help. But she denied to help me which made me really shocked because other hotels were really willing to help me send or book the delivery service like this before. It is very easy for Chinese people to do that. I had no other choice but throwing the samples away because i had to fly back to my country and i could not take it along with me. It is a pity for me when i could not send the sample to the factory. I will not be back to this hotel again. 酒店有接送机场服务，附近有1个方便店和几个餐厅. 但是我非常不满意今天早上前台的态度.我是外国人，也没有中国电话号码所以不能寄快递。我就问前台人员能不能帮忙帮把样品寄给中国供货商，当然费用是我承担的.她居然拒绝帮忙。我很惊讶，以前在别的酒店他们都很愿意帮忙这样的，因为是很简单的事. 同时，我要赶到机场，样品也不能带上飞机，所以没办法就把它们扔了。我一想到就感到遗憾的.不会再订这个酒店了."

"My parents stayed here for one night during their short trip to Tianjin, specifically to see the Tianjin Eye at night. The location is convenient, the building has a classic architectural style, and the interior decor is well-appointed. The breakfast was quite good for this type of budget hotel, though there weren't many meat options. The soundproofing, however, is very poor. You can clearly hear street noise and sounds from next door, so those sensitive to noise should be aware."

"As a Tianjin local, choosing to stay at The St. Regis exceeded my expectations. Service: Before check-in, the butler Gracie added me on WeChat and sent me a video of the parking entrance. She also confirmed my preferences and requests, and everything was arranged perfectly. Both check-in and check-out were seamless. During my stay, I used the swimming pool and gym; both the water quality and the fitness facilities were top-notch. The service throughout my stay was very prompt, and all staff members were polite. They even offered calming milk in the evening, which was a thoughtful touch. Scenery: In Tianjin, I believe the scenery along the Haihe River, especially at night, is the most beautiful, unparalleled. The St. Regis's location is excellent, close to all the famous spots along the Haihe River. From my window, I could see the Jiefang Bridge and the Century Clock. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, and there was even a chef making Jianbing Guozi on-site, which I haven't seen in other cities. I must also mention that for a coffee lover like me, while most hotels have coffee machines, finding one with iced coffee and over six different flavor syrups is rare and perfectly suited my coffee preferences. I loved it. I will definitely come back again and recommend it to my friends. All in all, it was a truly unforgettable experience!"

"This hotel is really conveniently located. The pedestrian street and a mall are just 50 meters away, and the subway station is about 300 meters from the entrance. Taxis are also quite cheap, usually around ten-something yuan for a ride. The staff are pretty enthusiastic and offered some great food recommendations. We booked a business room, which was quite spacious, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was well-done. The only thing that needs improvement is the hairdryer – it's ancient! Replacing that old-fashioned hairdryer would make everything perfect. Food recommendations: Jinbao Tianjin Cuisine (the Italian Style Street branch, definitely don't go to other branches as their menu is incomplete, missing about two-thirds of the dishes!). The Xibeijiao morning market is also decent. As for Goubuli baozi, honestly, they're not good at all 😊"

"The room was clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. The subway station is right next door, and the train and bus stations are within walking distance, making it very convenient for getting around. The Haihe River is just around the corner, and the night views are beautiful."

"Let's just say this is an older hotel, and it's pretty standard, neither great nor terrible. First, the good points: The location is decent. While not in the busiest area, it still offers river views and is relatively quiet! There's a mall right behind the hotel, which is super convenient for shopping. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, though it does get quite crowded and a bit noisy around 8-9 AM. A big shout-out to the restaurant staff – they are incredibly observant! They proactively seat you and even help deliver food to your table. When the coffee machine ran out of water, they were there to refill it immediately. Parking is very convenient, with plenty of spaces in the underground garage, and you get free in-and-out access during your stay. Now for the downsides: I encountered two staff members in the hallway, and perhaps they were just tired? They didn't react when they saw us; we had to greet them first 😵💫. The hotel doesn't offer any welcome fruit or tea. The facilities and amenities are a bit dated; the TV is small and doesn't support screen mirroring. The toiletries are just so-so. There's no coffee machine in the room. The complimentary bottled water and tea bags at the minibar give off a vibe of cost-cutting measures."

"I randomly came across this amazing hotel on RedNote, and the view from the window instantly won me over. 🥹✨ I was so captivated by the scenery that I decided to stay here for our family trip to Tianjin. The room was spotless, with a smart and modern interior, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. But the biggest highlight was definitely the window overlooking the river. The view was breathtaking both during the day and at night, when the city lights came alive. ✨🌃 Everything about the stay was wonderful, and this has definitely become one of my favorite hotel finds in Tianjin! 💕"
