The hotel's location is super convenient, directly opposite the cable car station, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel is very clean, which made for a great experience. The service was attentive, and breakfast was abundant with a wide variety of choices.
Areas for improvement regarding facilities include: 1. Adding a few hooks in the bathroom. It's inconvenient to have to step out of the shower to dry off and get dressed. 2. The room doors are quite noisy when closing, and you can hear the doors closing from neighboring rooms. 3. The elevator wait times are a bit long, averaging 1-2 minutes. 4. The TV size could be larger. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

The hotel offers free luggage storage, which is a lifesaver after check-out – you don't have to drag your bags around while sightseeing, making it completely stress-free. The rooms are clean and tidy, offering a comfortable stay. This place offers great value for money for travelers and is definitely worth recommending.

Great location, close to the historic district with convenient public transportation. Lots of food options downstairs. Facilities: The bed was just right, not too soft or too hard, so I slept comfortably. There's a small bathtub, good air conditioning, a TV, and even a partial river view. Hygiene: The room was cleaned daily. They provided bath bags and replenished room supplies promptly. Service: Timely and thoughtful, with instant replies to messages.

Facilities: The hotel has been open for some years, so the facilities aren't super new, but the room was quite spacious and had pretty much everything you'd need. There's no minibar in the room. The swimming pool is open from 3 PM to just past 9 PM. The hotel is surrounded by schools, so there are plenty of small eateries and restaurants nearby. The soundproofing in the rooms could use some improvement...
Cleanliness: Clean.
Environment: The hotel is quite close to the highway exit, which is convenient.
Service: The bellboy in the lobby was very polite. When we were leaving, he proactively and warmly greeted us, helped with our luggage, and even brought it to the car. I forgot his name, I don't think I saw a name tag on his uniform. The hotel breakfast was all very clean, and the variety was quite rich.

Changsha 🎐 I just adore the rooftop pool at this hotel – it's so romantic! 🥀
Ladies! I've discovered a hidden gem this time, a fabulous cultural hotel nestled amidst the city's vibrant charm – Pinmanxi.
📍The location is absolutely unbeatable!
It's right in Chaozong Street, truly achieving that perfect balance of being quiet yet central. Just a short walk downstairs and you're at Cha Yan Yue Se, and Wuyi Square is only a few minutes' walk away. IFS, Taiping Old Street, and Pozi Street are all easily accessible for exploring. In the evening, after your stroll, you can leisurely walk back – super convenient!
🛋️The lobby instantly wowed me upon arrival.
The wooden aesthetic combined with Oriental elegance creates an incredibly sophisticated vibe. There's also a faint sandalwood scent, instantly making you feel relaxed. It's truly a fantastic spot for photos; every shot looks great! 📸
🏊♀️The rooftop pool on the 7th floor is a delightful surprise.
Swim during the day and look up at the blue sky. In the evening, stand on the terrace and watch the city lights, enjoying a drink with the gentle breeze. The romantic atmosphere is simply incredible! 🌙
🌿The entire hotel feels like a garden oasis.
Everywhere you look, there are floral arrangements, green plants, and thoughtful touches. Sunbathe on the top-floor terrace, or enjoy afternoon tea at the dome-shaped book bar. You feel completely rejuvenated. ☕
I stayed in a room with a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window.
In the morning, the sunlight streams in, and the view is superb! At night, you can lie in bed and watch the Changsha nightscape – full marks for ambiance! 💯 The entire room features smart voice control with ”Hello Xiao Xi,” a dream come true for anyone who loves convenience. The bathroom also has a starry sky showerhead and a makeup mirror! ✨
🎎Pleasant little details:
The hotel offers exquisite Hanfu for free, which is perfect for photos and adds a wonderful touch. They even gave a small farewell gift when checking out – so thoughtful! 💝
You really have to go! Once you stay, you'll understand. I'd come back to Changsha just for this hotel! ❤️

It was a bit challenging to find the entrance of the hotel and parking spot. But the staff was very helpful. The service is great. We even received tangyuan(汤圆) for desert after we checked in, which made me feel home. The response was quick whenever we asked for help or requested anything. The hotel and room is super clean and fresh. We love the layout of the room, the toilet is separated from the shower. We had a great time there.

The hotel's location is super convenient! It's just a 3-minute walk from the subway exit, and really close to Guojin Street. There are tons of lively restaurants downstairs, and the bar street is also nearby.
The room itself was comfortable and quiet. I especially recommend the terrace room – the night view is stunning, I didn't even want to leave! The service was also excellent and very thoughtful. While the building's exterior might be a bit ordinary, it's full of local charm. The hotel's comfort, pleasant atmosphere, and convenient location definitely make it a worthwhile choice. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very clean overall, and the room was tidied up perfectly. The bedding was neat and odorless, and there were no water stains or smudges in the bathroom, which made me feel very comfortable staying there. All the facilities worked properly; the air conditioning and hot water were both excellent, and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The front desk staff were super nice, and both check-in and check-out were very quick. The environment was quiet and not noisy, offering great value for money. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit.

This second visit to Changsha left a lasting impression, all thanks to Pujing Hotel! The stay was absolutely perfect!!! From check-in, I felt so much genuine care – they proactively upgraded my room when they saw I was traveling with a child, which I really appreciate. A big thank you to the lady who checked me in on the afternoon of May 29th. The room had a fantastic, open view facing south towards a quiet residential area, incredibly comfortable and peaceful. The hotel exit is right by the subway station, making it super convenient to get to scenic spots and shopping areas! During my stay, there was also afternoon tea available. For laundry service, I just needed to book in advance, and someone would pick it up, wash it, fold it neatly, and return it. The front desk even provided taxi vouchers to the high-speed rail station, saving both hassle and money. Housekeeping service was always prompt (e.g., they immediately refilled the hand soap when it ran out). I stayed for two nights, and the room was spotlessly clean each day. With such attention to detail and value-added experiences, I'll definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit this city!
This hotel on Fenghuang Ancient Town mountain offered an amazing experience! The misty mountain air was so fresh and humid, making me feel incredibly relaxed. The rooms are spacious, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained. The huge bathtub was a dream for a relaxing soak. The balcony views of the mountains are enchanting. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Best of all, it's far from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a tranquil and quiet atmosphere – the vibe was just perfect. It was a truly comfortable and perfect stay.
Our whole family traveled together, booking three standard rooms and one king room. Both the adults and children were very satisfied, and the hot springs were wonderfully relaxing. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all highly professional and enthusiastic, always promptly addressing any requests. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit! ❤️❤️❤️

GGuest UserZhangjiajie Idyllic Pondside Timber Lodge feels like a quiet retreat designed for people who want to slow down and reconnect with nature. From the moment you arrive, the setting stands out—lush gardens spread across the property, carefully maintained yet still natural enough to feel authentic. Walking paths wind through greenery, leading you past tranquil ponds where the water reflects the surrounding trees and sky. It’s the kind of place where even a short stroll becomes part of the experience.
The ponds are a highlight. They’re not just decorative; they create a calming atmosphere that carries throughout the lodge. Sitting by the water in the early morning or at sunset is especially memorable, with only the sounds of birds and the occasional ripple breaking the silence.
The rooms continue that same sense of comfort and simplicity. Built with timber elements, they feel warm and grounded rather than overly polished. Inside, everything is thoughtfully arranged—clean, spacious, and equipped with the essentials for a relaxing stay. Large windows often bring in views of the gardens or ponds, making it easy to feel connected to the outdoors even when you’re inside.
The service was outstanding. All my needs and questions were answered promptly.
What really defines the lodge is its balance: it offers comfort without losing its natural charm. It’s not trying to be flashy or luxurious in a conventional sense—instead, it succeeds by creating a peaceful environment where the surroundings take center stage.
Overall, Zhangjiajie Idyllic Pondside Timber Lodge is ideal for travelers looking for a calm, nature-focused stay. Between the gardens, the serene ponds, and the cozy rooms, it provides a refreshing break from busier, more commercial accommodations.

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. I especially want to commend Ms. Qu Xianlin, a server in the restaurant, for her exceptionally thoughtful and enthusiastic service. She personally brought us coffee and fruit, which I found very touching. Thank you, staff of Sunshine Hotel! The bedding was comfortable, and the room was spacious and very clean. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

DDoudoufei625The hotel's location is super convenient, right on Qifeng Square, with the shuttle bus stop directly outside. You can see the hotel as soon as you get off, and it has the most prominent facade in the vicinity.
Upon check-in, we received complimentary fruit, and when we checked out, we were given a small souvenir. The room was equipped with a smart assistant (XiaoDu) that controlled the curtains and TV. Breakfast was quite substantial, offering freshly made rice noodles, scrambled eggs, pastries, and desserts. It was served from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and even if you woke up late and arrived closer to 9 AM, there was still plenty of food available until everyone had finished eating.
It's just a few minutes' walk to Hongqiao. If you go down the stairs to the right of Hongqiao and then turn right again, you can catch the night boat tour. It's worth pre-booking a combined ticket for the scenic area. The night tour lasts about 25 minutes, and the illuminated scenery is stunning, with performances like Cui Cui along the Tuojiang River.
EEasy.EAn absolutely flawless stay! The reception staff here are incredible—warm, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The rooms are excellent, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style after a long day of exploring. Most importantly, the location is unbeatable. You are right where you need to be to access the Tianmen Mountain Cableway, making the trip up the mountain incredibly convenient and stress-free.
If you are visiting Zhangjiajie, this is definitely the place to stay. Highly recommended

AAnonymous UserThe owner was super nice! As soon as I checked in, they helped me plan my route and gave me tons of helpful suggestions – so thoughtful. On my second day, I had to leave early for Dongmen, and they even prepared breakfast in advance for me, which was a really warm gesture. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the fruit was good too! 😊 The hotel's location is excellent. It's only 20 minutes from the West High-Speed Rail Station and 10 minutes from the airport. It's also not far from the Tianmen Mountain cable car, so after exploring, you can just walk back to the hotel.

GGuest UserThe service was top notch and the best part of the stay! The driver had a sign with our names at the train station and took us to the home stay, the concierge service built our custom itinerary based on our travel needs, brought us any amenities/snacks as needed from town directly to our room, welcomed us with fruits and brought us to the restaurant when our pre-ordered food was hot and ready, and took care of all our luggage from the room to the train station. Because our train was a little later in the day, our personal concierge took us on a mini-tour to see the TianMen on route to the station. We relaxed in an air conditioned van with massage chairs and mini fridge!

GGuest UserI chose Harmona because I was specifically looking for a peaceful place to rest and sleep well. During check-in, I clearly informed the reception staff that I would prefer a quiet room away from other guests, especially families. Unfortunately, this request was not taken into consideration. I was placed on a floor surrounded by families and was woken up around 8 a.m. by extremely loud conversations happening across the hallway, where families were shouting and speaking loudly to each other between rooms.
I was disappointed that the staff did not pay closer attention to my request, especially considering the purpose of my stay was rest and relaxation.
The amenities were also quite underwhelming. Seeing Lipton tea served in China was surprising, and the general cleanliness standards did not meet expectations. There were used cups and instant noodle containers left in the hallway for two days without being cleared away. The room itself was not very clean either — there were marks on the walls and even a dead cockroach when I checked in.
On a positive note, the hotel is located in a beautiful natural area, which made it pleasant for morning walks and jogging.

RRod Evans Ky⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Review: No.5 Valley Lodge, Zhangjiajie, China
Staying at No.5 Valley Lodge was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the breathtaking valleys of Zhangjiajie, this lodge feels like a hidden sanctuary where nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality come together perfectly.
From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by towering karst mountains, lush greenery, and a sense of calm you simply can’t find in the city. The rooms are beautifully designed—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully detailed—with stunning views that make waking up feel like a dream. Every corner of the lodge blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating an authentic yet luxurious experience.
What truly sets No.5 Valley Lodge apart is the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their local knowledge is invaluable, whether you’re planning visits to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, or discovering lesser-known scenic trails. The food is another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and comforting, with local touches that make every meal memorable.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a romantic retreat, or a base for exploring one of China’s most spectacular destinations, No.5 Valley Lodge is an absolute gem. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it without hesitation.
✨ A perfect stay in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

GGuest UserA Warm Home Away From Home Next to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
During this trip to Zhangjiajie, the most unexpected surprise wasn't the magnificent peaks and clear waters, but this hidden gem of a guesthouse right next to the scenic area. From the moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were touched by the warmth of the owners – the husband, energetic and spry, his smile radiating kindness with the crinkles around his eyes, was as亲切 as my own grandfather.
When we checked in, a staff member helped us with our luggage, thoughtfully reminding us, ”It gets chilly in the mountains morning and evening, remember to wear an extra layer.” The next day, when we planned to go to Yangjiajie Cable Car, they had already drawn out a route map, circling the best boarding points and even the optimal route for families with children. Hearing we wanted to try authentic local Tujia cuisine, the owner specially asked the kitchen to prepare stir-fried cured pork with fern, chuckling, ”Our homemade cured pork is much more flavorful than what you'll find in restaurants!”
What was most touching were the thoughtful details, like buying fresh pork ribs specifically to make soup for our child, ensuring a nutritious meal – making it a great spot for families with kids.
The guesthouse rooms were clean and bright, with stunning views of green mountains and trees right outside the window. Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was incredibly therapeutic. But more than the facilities, it was the owners' genuine warmth that left a lasting impression – they didn't feel like business owners, but rather like long-lost relatives who genuinely cared about their guests' needs.
The owner, who should be enjoying retirement and playing with his grandchildren, still dedicates himself to running this small guesthouse, warming every traveler's heart with his meticulousness and enthusiasm. Staying at a place like this isn't just about the room; it's about experiencing a rare sense of genuine human connection and local life. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Zhangjiajie!

Very Good
JJulia BranchThe hotel is in a great location—very convenient for accessing the east entrance of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the base of the mountain. The room and bathroom were also very clean, and the bathroom in particular was excellent.
However, the biggest issue was the heating. The system was extremely confusing, with multiple switches and lights that needed to be on just to get the air conditioning/heating to work. No instructions were provided, and no one explained it at check-in. As a result, we were stuck with cold air blowing for two nights and were very uncomfortable. It wasn’t until the third night that someone finally explained how to use it properly.
The breakfast was also disappointing. The boiled eggs seemed like they had been sitting in water for days and had an unpleasant taste. I would strongly recommend skipping breakfast altogether.
Overall, the cleanliness and location are great, but the lack of guidance and poor breakfast experience really affected the stay.
