Paste is located at 999 Ploenchit Road, | 3 fl., Gaysorn, Next Door to Intercontinental Hotel, Lumpini, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. We will visit several famous restaurants in Bangkok. This is the first one. It won the Best Female Chef in Asia in 2018, ranked 28th in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2019, and has a Michelin star. They are good at blending various curry sauces with various ingredients. There are several dishes with distinct layers and a great taste! Compared with the fine dining of Michelin-starred restaurants in Shanghai, the price is still better.

I was hesitating between Paste and another restaurant, and chose the other one because of the environment. However, I was having a massage at Gaysorn the day before, and I passed by the Paste billboard and was instantly attracted by the food photos. I immediately booked lunch for the next day. This can also be regarded as a kind of fate. The first thing I ordered was amuse bouche, which was a crushed crab salad on a thin cracker. It tasted good. For the appetizer, I ordered roasted duck, nutmeg, curry paste & sawtooth coriander served on rice crackers. Roasted duck mince, nutmeg mince and coriander mince with curry sauce, served on rice crackers, very delicious. Watermelon, ground salmon with fried shallots & roasted galangal powder, watermelon, salmon floss, salmon roe, tasted sweet, and the taste was magical but not unpalatable. For the soup, I ordered hot and sour soup with crispy pork leg, which had a lot of soup ingredients. The pork leg was indeed delicious, but the whole soup felt heavy. For the main course, I ordered crab meat yellow curry, which was very delicious! The curry was very sweet and the crab meat was quite a bit, which went very well with rice! I also ordered char-grilled pork glazed with wild honey, fennel seeds, a smoked eggplants & tomato relish. The pork tasted very good, and the eggplant and tomato puree was very greasy, but it was also a bit heavy. For dessert, I ordered mango sticky rice, which was not the usual way. There was very little sticky rice, which was not very moist and had a hard texture. The mango was not a big mouthful of mango meat, but mango meat minced with mango mousse, paired with ice cream. I felt that this dish was very ordinary and not as delicious as the normal version of mango sticky rice. After the whole meal, I felt that the paste tasted very solid, the dishes were also very detailed, and the environment was very quiet. I will come back to explore other dishes next time.

This is a Michelin-starred Thai restaurant in Bangkok, ranked 31st in the Asian food rankings. The restaurant's decoration is modern, grand and luxurious, and the sofas in the restaurant are particularly comfortable. What's special about each dish is that it is decorated with flowers. Whether it's fish, duck or beef, the mix of various ingredients, paired with red curry and yellow curry is really delicious.

As a Michelin star restaurant, I think the taste of paste is very suitable for my taste. I went to order a taste course with my wife at noon. I felt that the portion was really large. After eating a set, I felt very full. Every dish was great. If you can accept the spiciness of Thai food, paste is definitely worth a try!
