"We really like the corner room with city view that we got. It was clean, smell good, the windows are clean, able to see the city. The only thing that bothered us a little is the fact that the rooms are not soundproofed. We could literally hear anything coming out of other rooms lol. The staff at the reception were nice and welcoming. The rooftop bar was cool and beautiful, the price is super reasonable - seemed to be short staffed though. The organization of the place wasn't great at all and the guy at the entrance checking ID wasn't nice, he looks like he doesn't want to be there. But overall, the hotel, the bar and most of the staff were really nice and welcoming :)))"

Our location on the Columbia River is conveniently located in one of the most stunning vantage points in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, perfect for any adventure. The Columbia Gorge offers an abundance of outdoor activities, from hiking, biking and water sports, to more passive adventures such as wine tasting, craft beer sampling and scenic touring. Nearby waterfalls, trails and scenic routes are right in our backyard. Our hotel is conveniently located off Interstate-84 and Historic Highway 30, only 35 miles from Portland. Popular water sports on the Columbia River include stand up paddling, boating, and water skiing. The area is renowned for sailing, kite boarding and windsurfing, with the Gorge offering some of the best wind conditions in the country. Abundant mountain bike trails and road routes are close by, as is the paved Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail (with the Bridge of the Gods trail head a stone’s throw away). Visit the nearby Historic Marine Park (home of the Sternwheeler), the beloved Hood River Fruit Loop, or Stevensons Bluegrass Festival for some of the regions best music. You’ll find over two dozen wineries and a dozen craft breweries in the Gorge region. Relax in one of our comfortable rooms, many of which include spectacular views of the Columbia River. A trip over the Bridge of the Gods gives you a birds eye view of the Gorge—and puts you in a prime spot to explore the Washington side of the river. We offer complimentary full breakfasts served to order at Bridgeside restaurant next door. A sparkling indoor, heated pool and spa provide relaxation and fun. Guests can also take advantage of the exercise facilities, business center, truck and RV parking, 24-hour hot beverage bar, quaint walking paths and views of the Cascade Mountains. We look forward to hosting you. Reserve your river-view room at the Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn today.

"This hotel is located next to the Columbia River Valley in Portland. If the weather is good, it is a good choice to see the river surface and the bridge. It takes only ten minutes to drive from this hotel to the famous waterfall attraction. If I choose to stay here, I can walk in the forest. In addition, the breakfast of this hotel is in a restaurant next door. You need to hold the hotel's breakfast coupon to eat. Breakfast is probably similar to a set meal. Anyway, I am not familiar with it. The restaurant will serve it to you after you order. It is the common American pancakes, sausages, and egg flowers. It rained heavily when we went there, so we didn't go out for a walk, which was a pity"

Location is fine, but there are a lot of homeless people near hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was really really good. The bad thing is that there is no free parking (they offer $59 valet parking which is super expensive). If you’re lucky you will find some free overnight parking spots near hotel (it’s free from 7pm to 8am). So I would recommend this hotel if you’re traveling without car.

Pros: Spacious and clean rooms. Conveniently located just off the highway but far enough to avoid most traffic noise on 97.. The breakfast was enjoyable, featuring scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a self-make waffle station. Cons: Severe, disruptive room noise. Throughout the entire night, an intermittent, guttural, rattling wheeze—sounding exactly like a struggling car engine—kept us awake. What made this particularly frustrating was the lack of proactive management. I submitted a quiet-room request upon booking (which went unanswered) and reiterated it at check-in. Around midnight, unable to bear the noise, we asked for help and a friendly staff member kindly provided us with extra earplugs, but they weren't enough to block it out. When we reported the issue to a third staff member during checkout, she gave an emotionless response, said she would ”take a note,” and immediately walked away. The hotel was not at full occupancy; the upper floor was completely dark, and the parking lot was less than half full at both 10 PM (check-in) and 8 AM. We travel extensively—both globally and locally in places like Bend—and have never encountered this. Had the hotel simply given me a heads-up or accommodated my request, I could have brought my industrial-strength earplugs from home. A little communication at no extra cost goes a long way.

The hotel is set up very open and not all cramped together it actually spans across 4 buildings in one area of town. The front desk guy was very helpful and got me checked in to my room way early at about 9am and the room was phenomenal!! Definitely worth it to get the suite with the jacuzzi and balcony. Probably the nicest executive suite I have stayed in and I will be extending my stay and returning another time too. On my top 10 list of best hotels and service

I arrived to quite late to my booking. The front desk staff was courteous and even offered me a cookie when I checked in. My room was clean and orderly. There were a few stains in the carpet, but nothing too bad. The shower was amazing and had two shower head. There were plenty of outlets through out the room for all of my devices including next to the beds. The room also had a little couch coffee table, microwave, and mini fridge which was super nice. They did charge for the bottled water in the room though. I paid extra when I booked my room to have breakfast included, the breakfast was great. Bacon, Sausage, Potatoes, Eggs, and Waffles. They also had bagels and some items in the salad bar area but I didnt mess with any of that. Overall it was a pleasant stay. My only complaint would be related to the parking. There wasnt very many parking spots to begin with and the spots were super small. It made getting in and out of my car very difficult when parked. The hotel was super easy to find and was right off of I-5. However, I will warn you that the entrance is tucked around on the backside.

This hotel smells like Christmas morning because of the fireplaces and the scent diffusers, very cool feature I haven't seen anywhere else. Very nice front desk staff, windows that open, fireplaces, and despite an ongoing renovation there wasn't any chaotic banging / drilling or paint, they kept everything very professional. There are 3 different Marriot properties all next to each other in this area, this Residence, the Fairfield and the Courtyard. They all sort of share the same parking lot, it feels secure, although you get some loud cars coming through and this hotel is right off the highway exit, so some people complain about car noise. I didn't notice / mind it that much. For some reason the nightly rates went way up since I stayed here, from around $108 to now over $170 before taxes. At the initial rate, it was an amazing deal and the best Residence Inn by far. At this new price it's still a solid, very clean and professional hotel but I think it's priced too expensive relative to the amenities.

On my search to find ”the coolest Marriott” in Portland, this is by far one of the best. Staff are genuinely enthusiastic and having a great time, the snacks/provisions are outstanding, I can get my Celsius and my jalapeno genoa salami wrapped in cheese or my ice creams. The whole property is impeccably clean and being located in the Kruise Woods business park, it's extremely peaceful and quiet on the weekends. Windows open nice and wide for lots of fresh air. The TV / desk setup is very professional and you have all the channels - netflix, prime video, pluto tv, pandora. One of my favorite Fairfields I've ever stayed in. Request a downstairs garden level if you can get one.

The ladies working the front desk in the mornings are absolute angels. I can't say enough nice things about them. I don't know if they're the owners of the place but they are the most kind, considerate, mindful, down to earth beings I've met in a very long time. The staff are always so very kind, motherly, considerate and concise. I stay here often since i work on the bridge nearby and I've always had an enjoyable, relaxing, carefree, and unobstructed stay here. Clean rooms, hallways, amenities. I've never had anything to complain about whatsoever. I've said it once before that everybody there deserves a raise because they are an absolute dream team by the way they make the entire hotel run so efficiently and effectively, and go out of their ways every time to make sure my stay is always a breeze. Thank you all so much for everything. Keep up the good work, and keep your heads up high, always.

The hotel is next to the freeway and I had a room that faced the freeway, so the traffic noise was loud. Sadly, I live near a freeway, so I slept great but it would be tough for someone that wasn't used to the noise. I did not notice the freeway noise on the front side of the building. The room was pretty dated, no bathroom sink counter offset to it's own niche area, it part of the sleeping area. I laughed because as a kid, it was a common design, but, now it just looked odd. The beds were updated and comfortable. The climate control worked smoothly and quietly. The staff was very nice. The breakfast area was big, updated and very clean. Breakfast setup had eggs, sausage and a waffle machine. Basic breakfast and lots of coffee. It's hard to miss the place, there is a giant sign outside. Very close to a Walmart and Home Depot.

After a long drive from San Francisco, it was such a welcome surprise to see how clean and modern the Holiday Inn Express was. From the moment we entered the lobby, we were impressed. The receptionists were professionally dressed and treated us like welcomed guests with their warm, friendly attitude. Muriel, who handled our check-in, was outstanding, as was Sergio, who we spoke with later. Employees like them make Holiday Inn a fantastic place to stay. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean. I had requested a quiet room when booking, and it was ready when we arrived. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The morning breakfast was abundant and delicious, with many different items to choose from. With all that said, thank you, Holiday Inn, for a memorable stay.
