Beautiful resort in the picturesque Maldives. It's only about a 15-minute speedboat ride from the airport, check-in was quick, and the room was incredibly spacious. The daily housekeeping was very thorough, and the bedding was great, ensuring a good night's sleep every night. The breakfast offered a wide variety, so both adults and kids could find something they liked. Dinner was also good, with different options available each evening. The bartenders at the beach bar made excellent drinks, and the evening entertainment was varied and lively. The hotel beach area was lovely too, perfect for snorkeling and fish-spotting, or just relaxing on a beach hammock. đ
The room was absolutely satisfying â quite spacious with a large and comfortable double bed. The sea view from the balcony was excellent. The ground floor (G level) houses the restaurant, while what Trip.com calls the 'first floor' rooms (standard sea view rooms) are actually on the second floor. Deluxe sea view rooms, which are slightly more expensive, are on the third floor and above. The hotel guests are a mix of Europeans/Americans and Chinese. The front desk staff spoke English and I experienced no discrimination whatsoever. Some reviews mentioned that higher floors were given to Westerners, but perhaps they just booked a second-floor room to begin with. Actually, the second-floor rooms are also beautiful, perfectly level with the palm trees. Because Trip.com noted my booking as a 'first floor' room (which is actually the second floor, as the actual first floor is the 'G' level with only the restaurant and front desk, no rooms), I specifically requested a deluxe sea view room on a higher floor than the first, and I was given a room on the fifth floor with an amazing view. When arriving by speedboat, a dedicated staff member was there to pick us up. Although it was only about 200 meters, the hotel still used a golf cart for us and a three-wheeled vehicle for our luggage, delivering everything directly to our room after check-in. When departing, the front desk booked our speedboat tickets for us. The front desk manager personally saw us off to the golf cart and politely asked about our stay experience. The staff carried our luggage all the way to the boat. The service was truly superb.
On our first day, we went out to sea, and I left my underwear on the bed since I was wearing my swimsuit. When we returned, the room had been cleaned, and my pajamas and underwear were neatly folded and arranged on the bed. Because the room attendant was male, my daughter and I felt a bit embarrassed. For the following days, we put up the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and after returning in the afternoon, we only requested fresh towels and water refills. The staff would still often ask if we needed our room cleaned â the service was truly outstanding.
The ground floor breakfast area has plenty of seating, and breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, which is perfect for not delaying our excursions. There's a wide variety of food, including egg pancakes and corn pancakes that cater to Chinese tastes. I didn't pre-book dinner, but there was a good selection, costing $20 per person, and cash payment was accepted. There are many island excursions available, offering plenty of deep-sea experiences and photo opportunities. All in all, my experience at Kaani Hotel on Maafushi Island was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.
We spent almost a week in the hotel and the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff was great.
Unfortunately, we did not have a good start due to a flu of my husband, but they did not hesitate and we were immediately helped and we were driven to the doctor and supported and lovingly cared for. We can recommend the hotel to everyone and thank all employees for this excellent service!!!
Awesome place to visit. The best thing about the stay was the water villa with jacuzzi and instant access to amazing snorkeling. Rajan our house attendant was a particular highlight, he always had a big smile on his face and went above and beyond to make our stay special and really succeeded, if you read this Rajan, thank you very much for your excellent hospitality, you made our stay very enjoyable!
Only feedback I would give is to reduce the number of notifications sent by the app, it was a bit excessive. Also, due to the sky high prices of even simple activities, we opted to gave all of them a pass. A night snorkeling excursion asking for something like USD90 and then also charging USD15 for torch rental feels a little silly. You cannot go night snorkeling without a torch.
Otherwise, we were really happy with the stay.
Had a really nice stay here. You can tell the hotel is pretty new because everything still feels fresh and well taken care of. The rooms and common areas were clean and nicely set up. The staff were great throughout the stay, always polite and helpful whenever needed. The amenities were also solid and added to the overall comfort. One standout was the restaurant, easily one of the best on the island. The food was great, prices were reasonable, and it stays open late, which was really convenient. Overall, it was a smooth, hassle-free experience. Would definitely consider staying again.
A hotel with high European standards of service and a pleasant staff. It's located right next to the pier where sharks and rays swim up in the evenings. Since I didn't feel like eating much in the morning, the staff packed me a breakfast in a lunchbox. It's a shame I only stayed there for one day.
This was my first Maldives trip, so I was a bit nervous I might not be impressed, but it was a nice surprise that I will remember in my heart.
First of all, this is a barefoot island..thereâs no concrete, but sand everywhere. The beach amazing and never thought snorkel could be so good only feet away from getting in the water. The resort offers one free snorkel trip every day, but swimming around the island is so good as well.
Bungalows are super nice with good amenities, AC and open air bathroom fitted with quality items (Grohe).
The staff is super nice and helpful.
Buffet is good, we stayed 6 days and food was different each day. There is an a-la-carte restaurant for an additional fee, but I didnât go there.
Last, the stuff is super friendly and helpful.
Most of the extra are quite pricey, but you are on a remote island after all. You can pay in USD at the end, the rate is close to the intra banking exchange).
There are people checking out at 6am and they get the rooms ready for the next guest immediately, so if you land at Male at 8am, they will check you in as soon as you get on the island.
A must choice for honeymoon. We booked through trip.com and got a massive discount (compared to the official website). Absolutely no hassle with the airport pick up and drop offs. We took the breakfast included package only and it was a great deal for the price. Later on we had light snacks in late afternoon and in villa dining, followed by dinner at their restaurant/bar (Bluu). Pricing wise it was a steal to not have gone full board with lunch/dinner.
We recommend the Sunrise Pool Villa as it had the MOST privacy (even though Sunset pool villa was their most exclusive option, it lacked privacy).
You can still be enjoying the sunset from their bar/restaurant.
Would recommend to skip the dolphin cruise as the boat taken is on the smaller size (compared to the waves, possible for you to get sea sick)
For a couple, rather to have experience at the spa for the same price.
I recently stayed at Sheraton Full Moon Maldives in one of their Overwater Villas, and it was a truly memorable experience. The villa was beautifully designed, clean, and well-maintained â offering direct access to the crystal-clear waters and stunning panoramic views of the ocean. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect escape for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The staff throughout the resort were generally excellent â friendly, helpful, and attentive. They handled all requests promptly and with professionalism. A special mention goes to the hotel management team, especially Mr. Megan and a few others, who went above and beyond to resolve a minor incident during our stay. Their approach was calm, respectful, and solution-focused, which left a very positive impression.
Most of the team displayed great hospitality, especially at reception, housekeeping, and concierge. However, the only slight downside was at âThe Feastâ dining area, where a few staff members appeared less engaging and rarely smiled â a contrast to the otherwise warm and welcoming service standard across the resort.
I was lucky enough to be assigned to Arena Veli in Building 4 of the Arena complex, which is the fourth building from the sunset direction, and it was even a corner balcony unit with a 90-degree view â absolutely stunning! The welcome drink was a delicious mixed berry juice. Breakfast was also tasty with a good variety of options.
The service experience during my stay was very good. The $6 environmental tax per person per night is mandatory, and there's also a $25 per person per trip speedboat transfer fee. However, the in-room facilities and cleanliness were really concerning, not even up to the standard of a 3-star hotel back home.
Very Good

Great
Best stay ever in Maldives! My fourth trip to Maldives, but this stay is the best. Beautiful water villa with pool and very clean and comfortable. Joey was at the reception when I checked in and she was very patient to explain on use of app and things to note. The experience at Hardrock Cafe was fantastic, great food and music. There are 3 islands connected and you can see sunrise and sunset near the Pavilion. The staff at Pavilion (Mr Sunil Giri )was so kind to help me take some pictures with the sunset. There are many shops like canvas painting, pottery making etc to participate in. The staff at merchandise shop (Mr Aalif) beside Hard Rock Cafe has a sense of humour and made one shopping experience a great one! Kudos to all the staff and recommend everyone be it solo or families to choose the hotel, you will never regret! Lastly thanks to the hotel for giving me a bottle of champagne and a birthday cake to make the stay a memorable one!
I really enjoyed my stay at SAii Lagoon. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There were so many complimentary perks during my stay. It was a perfect family vacation. The resort is only a 15-minute speedboat ride from the airport. Early check in was superb! Even though I stayed at SAii Lagoon, I could also visit the Hard Rock Hotel. The best part was spotting rays on the beach many times! I received a complimentary birthday cake during my stay. This resort is perfect for a family getaway.
Very near to the jetty point. at first we got a room we no seaview but the staffs were very helpful when we asked a room for seaview, as in our booking. So they arranged a new room for us at level 4.
Itâs been a wonderful stay at Arena. I had booked a speedboat transfer from the airport for 1:00 p.m. but when I arrived, a staff member approached me and offered an earlier boat at 10:30 a.m. which was superb! as I didnât have to wait too long at the Airport. Our room was ready at 2:00 p.m. but that was fine. We simply walked around the local island to find lunch. I booked an excursion with Arena and it was really worth it. All the staff were really helpful. For a family vacation, I highly recommend this hotel.
Very much like a Club Med. Lots of people but lots of room. The island is just the resort no local village. Snorkeling was so so. I was hoping for more coral and fish. Easy entry from beach. Service and staff were always friendly and smiling all the time. Had a problem with TV and they were there with in 10 minutes. Golf carts for transportation thought the resort. Great variety of food, all buffet. Some extra restaurants but expensive. A very relaxing time on the beach after 2 weeks in Sri Lanka.
