Hotels With Pools in Jeju Province, South Korea

This was my most satisfying stay yet. Check-in is on the 6th floor, where they also have a paid laundry and drying service – I spent almost 50 RMB to wash all my clothes. Downstairs, there's a free airport shuttle. The service was excellent, and there's a coffee shop upstairs. The first floor leads directly to the duty-free shop, and there's even a currency exchange machine right by the elevator on the first floor of the hotel.

The hotel's soundproofing is extremely poor. On the first night, it felt very hot after 11 PM, and the air conditioning stayed at 24 degrees Celsius for over two hours (even though it was set to 18 degrees). There was also a constant thumping sound, similar to walking, from upstairs. After calling the front desk to report the issue, the noise did not stop. Later, after discussing with Trip.com customer service, we decided to change rooms. A front desk staff member came to help move our luggage to the new room. When we first arrived at the new room, the noise indeed disappeared, but it wasn't long before the thumping sound returned and continued non-stop until around 2:30 AM, severely affecting our rest. For light sleepers, it would be absolutely maddening. On the second day, we realized the noise was coming from all directions. Both the ceiling and wall soundproofing were quite poor, with frequent strange noises. Overall, our stay significantly impacted our rest. I called hotel room service to request two buckwheat pillows or firmer pillows, but the ones brought were the same as the original pillows in the room. English communication was not very smooth. The room facilities are a bit old. The only advantage is the hotel's good location, which is very convenient for guests traveling by car as there is free parking. You just need to provide your license plate information to the front desk during check-in.

The public areas are really beautiful and comfortable; as soon as you step into the hotel, you feel like you're on vacation. The sea view is stunning on a clear day. The front desk staff can communicate in English. Our room wasn't ready at the 3 PM check-in time, but the hotel offered an alternative to switch to a non-sea view suite. We opted to wait for the sea-view room we booked, showing a proactive approach to problem-solving. Our luggage was delivered directly to the room, and we didn't encounter any unpleasant attitudes during our stay. Our room was in the East Tower, which I believe is the older building. I was initially worried it might be too dated after reading some reviews, but it was actually fine! The room was indeed very small, but clean and odor-free, with a complimentary minibar. The balcony was quite large, and the sea view was satisfying. The room door had average soundproofing, but the balcony door was well-insulated, making the room generally quiet. Highly recommended!

Location: The guesthouse consists of three buildings, all owned by the landlord. We stayed on the top floor this time, in a room with two bunk beds, which comfortably accommodated four people. Cleanliness: Very clean. You need to take off your shoes. There were no disposable slippers, but the floor was absolutely sparkling. Owners: The owners are a very kind couple who speak English and a little Chinese. The husband is very enthusiastic and offers free banana milk. Jeju Island is very clean. This is the best guesthouse I've ever stayed at on an international trip. I'll definitely be back and look forward to seeing the owners again.

The location and views are hands down the best in downtown Jeju. Within a 5-minute walk, you have Lotte Duty Free, a CU convenience store, E-Mart, and Olive Young. Shilla Duty Free and Nuwemaru Street (Baojian Road) are just a 10-minute walk away. The hotel itself has a shopping mall, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), an arcade, and more—having dining, shopping, and entertainment all under one roof made everything so effortless. The room was genuinely spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides offered sweeping panoramic views of Jeju City. Just a heads-up: toothbrushes come with an extra charge, though bottled water was generously provided. As for service, it really lived up to other reviews regarding the oddly aloof attitude. That said, all the concierges we met were warm, polite, and took the initiative to help with our luggage. Front desk check-in seems to be hit-or-miss, but we got lucky! The young lady who checked us in was sweet and lovely; she gave us a complimentary upgrade to a high-floor ocean view room, plus complimentary chocolates and madeleines from the hotel boutique, which was such a wonderful surprise! The gentleman who handled our check-out was also very warm—especially standing out as gentle and charming compared to the other staff around him who were just slacking off looking at their screens. So, when checking in at the front desk, definitely try to pick a counter based on who looks friendliest—it makes a huge difference to your overall experience.

First of all - the perfect stay, favouriting. This is pretty much a two-floor townhouse with widest possible 3 bed rooms and all facilities included (plus three toilets and bath-tube). Very warm at winter. Very enjoyable stay. A bit of details. The unit is a part of mini-city of similar houses around. It is built right in the forest. The architects were brave enough to keep original trees around, so your windows are looking directly into the forest - with all the singing birds, tree branches nearly touch your windows (btw, the third photo is from one of the windows). It is very silent place, with breathtaking volcano views. From facilities point of view, the project looks like suffered from financial hardship - most of the things in the minicity that were planned - are still on the plan or were outsourced to another companies (though, I am sure, once the project is completed - the price will double at least). There is no restaurant as such (at the time of writing), at or even around the place; swimming pool is largely incomplete. The BBQ mini-room in the center of the house (which is directly under naked sky) totally rot beyond repair, but I admire designers decision to build it. Never saw anything like this before. I bet it can be rebuilt. Deliveries to that area does not work - too far. So if you hungry at night - you don't have too much of options than a ramyon or cooking yourself (saying this, we discovered 이승악식당 next door - saved us greatly at lunch time). Gym equipment looked very rich, though the gym room is a bit disproportional in size - barely fits it all. Btw, we found a great table tennis table there. Overall it's a great civilization escape. Few things to be planned ahead but waking up by the sun shining directly to your eyes - unbeatable. I believe it's the one, where wife's and husband's opinions differ :).

Jeju Island Hotel Recommendation | Shilla Hotel The Shilla Hotel, with its Southern French charm, is located in Seogwipo, Jeju Island. The hotel perfectly suited my taste and is also ideal for family vacations. I absolutely loved it and would definitely stay here again. **Regarding Transportation** We hired a private car from the airport to the hotel, which took less than an hour. However, getting to the city center from here is not convenient. We chose this hotel specifically for a relaxing vacation, so apart from taking a taxi to Hello Kitty Island, we walked everywhere else. **Regarding the Room** We booked a mountain view room, and the scenery was lovely. Sitting on the balcony, we could enjoy a vast expanse of greenery, which was truly refreshing. There was one king-sized bed and one smaller bed, both very comfortable, and turndown service was provided. The blinds were a bit sheer, so if you're bothered by light, you can ask the hotel staff to install curtains. The bathroom and toilet were separate (wet and dry areas), and the space was very large, making our stay very comfortable. **Regarding Dining** The hotel's restaurants are all excellent. This time, we only experienced the breakfast buffet, but you can also choose the lunch buffet. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich and varied! Everything was exquisite and delicious. I highly recommend choosing a room package that includes breakfast when booking. For dinner, we found restaurants near the hotel, and overall, dining was very convenient. **Regarding Family-Friendly Amenities** The Kids' Island on the basement level is perfect for preschoolers, with various interesting board games that even adults would want to play. Kids' Club (Gymboree) requires reservations, and we didn't have time to experience it this time, but we look forward to it next time. The indoor and outdoor pools are connected, and there's live music in the evening, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Remember that the outdoor sun loungers need to be reserved, which is very convenient, and you get to use them for a long time after reservation. **Regarding Service** From check-in to check-out, the service was impeccable! There was a small hiccup with installing the curtains, but before we left, they specially gave us a cute teddy bear with blue plaid, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel's strong Southern French vibe makes for great photos! Walking to Jungmun Saekdal Beach involves many steps, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The hotel's attention to detail is excellent, with a waterfall and even a small zoo. Two nights felt barely enough.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, decorated nicely. The staff were friendly and spoke great English, very foreigner friendly! The room was clean and had everything you needed! It was great that we could store our bags in the hotel even after we checked out. I didn’t use the pool facilities or the restaurant but they both look lovely. Hotel is in a great location by the pier, looks of shops and restaurants nearby and only a short walk to the food market and the town/ shops. Would definitely stay here again!

I can only say this is the most ”unassuming” Marriott I've ever stayed at. The photos accurately reflect the room's actual appearance, which is on par with a typical business hotel in China. As a resort hotel, it's completely unremarkable. The room's mini-bar offers complimentary drinks and alcohol. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are free to use and are quite good, and there's also a hot tub. Mythology Park tickets are included, allowing free access to three attractions. This amusement park is a bit old, but its only advantage might be that it's not crowded, so there's no need to queue. The food street in the resort area doesn't have many options. We tried the Volcanic Grilled Black Pork, which was decent.

You can watch the sunset, and the scenery is beautiful. There's a convenience store, Starbucks, and a gift shop nearby, which is very convenient.
