"The room was spacious and clean, which was great. Even though it was just a stay without meals, we were able to use the lounge in the evening for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, and snacks! However, the serving times were a bit short, so it would have been even better if there was drip coffee in the room. I would definitely like to stay here again next time."

"It's old, but reasonably clean. Since it's in the mountains, be careful of insects when opening the windows. The sheets were very clean and there was no smell. It was a futon, but the mattress was thin and my back hurt a little. The bath had a calming atmosphere and was very nice. There were only four hair dryers in the public bath. There weren't any in the room either, so you have to borrow one from the front desk. The location is good. There's a suspension bridge nearby, and it was nice to be able to see the gorge, the hotel, and the bridge from there. The meals included all-you-can-drink alcohol, and my family and I got quite drunk and had a great time. We were also able to eat a lot at the buffet breakfast."

"The buffet, public bath area, room, staff and etc. are all perfect!!! Especially the game center, swimming pool and the musical performance at the night. You can simply spend a few days in the resort! It is close to the attractions so the place is perfect!"

The environment was also kept impeccably clean. The onsen facilities were comprehensive, with both indoor and outdoor baths offering unique features. The tranquil bathing space was perfect for relaxation. Dinner and breakfast were of high quality, with exquisite and delicious kaiseki cuisine in generous portions. The dining atmosphere was wonderful, and I highly recommend it for couples or families. I would definitely return if I have the chance."

"This property is very affordable and offers a lot for the price it demands. A 5mins walk to the Kinugawa Onsen station. The property is older but has all the amenities you need. There is an indoor onsen and a small outdoor one. Male and female sides don't change. You can also book a free session of private onsen. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets, nothing of high quality but there are a lot of selections to choose from. Best of all, the drinks, beers and spirits are complimentary too."

"The exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay."

"We liked the hotel very much. It surely needs renovation in some areas, but you forget about this, because the hotel service is very good. The staff is very helful and welcoming, many free amenities are provided: yukata clothes for kids for all ages, socks for geta shoes, face sheet masks for ladies. Futons are very cosy, kaiseki dinner was worth it, but if your kids do not like Japanese style food, you need to think of it beforehand. Onsen area is very nice. It has pool also.
