We had a lovely stay with Melia Hotel. Our room was very comfortable and very good reakfast . The staff are very polite and helpful. Very recommended. ☺

On July 28th I booked a superior, non-smoking, double bed, away from elevator room to stay on August 1st. When I was checking in (waited for 30 mins but ok) the receptionist told me my reservation has only recently been sent by the third party app (trip.com), approximately 30 minutes before I arrived, and so the room i asked for was fully booked. So the only room left is a smoking, twin bed, right beside the elevator with big machines for the window view. They gave the room ozone treatment for the smoke smell and pushed the twin beds so it became 1 large bed. Fine whatever. But then when I complained to the app, customer support told me my reservation has been sent and accepted on July 28th, they also tried contacting the hotel to confirm but the hotel was unreachable. So later that night I went and checked with the night shift receptionist and he confirmed that the reservation was indeed sent and confirmed by the hotel on July 28th, but the room type I asked for has been fully booked since July 29th. So idk why the other receptionist blamed the app and lied? I am still really curious. The app however gave me coins for the inconvenience but the hotel didn't. Room was small but the ac, wifi and hot shower worked well. Fridge wasn't cold enough. No trash can in the bathroom. Gym is small but okay. The sky lounge got nice view but I waited over 1 hour for my 1 portion of fried kwetiaw to arrive. Not many alcohol options just beer and soju. Overpriced but I guess the view is where the money's at.

The dining staff were attentive, making sure everything was well-stocked. I just wish the coffee could have been better—it felt a little weak compared to what I expected. The facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained, but the pool area got quite crowded during peak hours. A larger pool or more seating would have been ideal. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and I would recommend [Hotel Name] to others. With a few small improvements, this could easily become a 5-star experience!

Great and friendly staff we were here for our wedding anniversary Rathi from reception had written a large beautiful multi coloured congratulations message on the mirror in our room along with a fruit platter and cake/chocolate plate so sweet. The front office manager Genta was a consummate professional very kind and welcoming doing whatever she could to make our stay wonderful which she did, even let us change rooms when we wanted a better view of the sea, immaculately groomed even after a super long shift. Finally we had the same room service man Syamsul Izpar on duty each day and he was exceptionally fast and efficient offering to change whatever we required definitely a 5 star worker, very polite. Overall the breakfasts were great they have it all, well presented, tasty and plenty of it. Any problems even minor were offered to be remedied immediately. Echa in the dining room was very attentive seeing us sitting in the same table daily she reserved it for us and knew to bring us 2 cappuccinos very smiley and friendly. We would definitely stay again. A big thanks and the pool is great!

Clean but the bathroom have no soap and they separate toilet bowl and shower with two room. The toilet is good but the bathroom is flooding outside when you shower. Room is good got bottle water and coffee+tea sachet. View is just ok. the location is perfect near from everything you need such as souvenir, local and international restaurant, convenient store and more

Good hotel with central location in Makassar. All of the staff, and especially Mr. Rangga, were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

A good budget hotel so far in Makassar. Stay here during Ramadhan around 7 days. So many takjil and good resto around. Near to the Mall, can get there by walking. Will be back soon for sure, thanks Khas!🍉

For a layover, Makassar doesn't offer many hotel options, but this one is much better than the airport hotel. It's actually only a few kilometers away, about a ten to fifteen-minute drive. Taxis are a bit expensive to get there, and the hotel doesn't offer a free shuttle service. Remember to use Grab when heading to the airport from the hotel; it's much cheaper. The hotel itself is decent. The wooden floors and furniture show the wear and tear of time and humidity, so the cleanliness is just average. Breakfast was okay; there was food available.

The facilities are definitely old, but the sea view is absolutely stunning! You get a complete view of the 99 Domes Mosque, and on the other side, Fort Rotterdam is just a short walk away. There are plenty of dining options on the street opposite, and even a street selling local gold jewelry nearby. For Makassar, this is definitely the best hotel. The breakfast spread is extensive and will definitely fill you up.

It was pretty good. Initially, I was given a room that didn't match the amenities I was supposed to have. The description said I should have a room with a balcony, but that wasn't provided at first. However, after I informed the front desk again, I was eventually given a room with the amenities as described.
