It was a pleasant surprise to stumbled across this gem. The hotel was just situated inside the Li Jiang ancient town which makes it very convenient to travel and walk around the town even in the wee hours without the need to worry about taking didi! The hotel staff has contacted us 4 days before to ensure our smooth arrival. The staff was very sweet, friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs before, during and even after our stay. She even assisted to recommend us some tours around Li Jiang and also when we were planning to travel up to Shangrila. The tours she recommended and assisted to book were all great! This has helped us tremendously to save our time research and plan on our own ☺️. The room we booked is with private balcony, it has fantastic view and the room were clean and comfortable to stay. Will definitely come back here next time and recommend to my friends and family of this place to stay if they ever plan to come to Li Jiang!

I was skeptical about TeaHorse at first due to the lack of reviews but this turned out to be a wonderful stay! We stayed here overnight on our 2 day hike through the Tiger Leaping Gorge. We upgraded to the Deluxe Standard Room (for extra 50 CNY) since the room is newer and slightly bigger. The ensuite toilet was basic but very clean. The beds were also heated and the aircon could be used for heating and cooling. The guesthouse also runs a restaurant cooking homecooked meals and a cafe/bar boasting a beautiful view. We felt that the view from TeaHorse was better than the one at Halfway House, which seems to be the more popular resting spot amongst hikers. The view of stars from the cafe viewpoint at night is also amazing. The staff helped us book a return bus to Lijiang, which left from Tina’s guesthouse the next day. Tina’s was a 4h hike from TeaHorse and we boarded the bus back to Lijiang Old Town with no problem. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend this room as an overnight rest point for hikers.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming accommodation. The place is very near to the main road where the taxi can drop you off right at the doorstep. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Zhang Hui 张慧 and her husband who made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, providing helpful tips about the area and checking in to see if we needed anything. The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort. The rooms were  exceptionally cozy, spacious and  warm. We really appreciate the heated floor! Overall, our experience was nothing short of wonderful. This place truly has it all: a clean and comfortable room with skylight, a stunning courtyard and amazing hosts who really care about their guests. Can't wait to return for another stay!

Great location. Just 5-10mins walking distance from Kunming train station from north exit. Easy to local the hotel. We booked 2 rooms and got upgraded. Both rooms are clean and spacious. Good breakfast as well. Will definitely stay again.

Great location, with two food streets nearby that are lively at night. Surrounded by many shopping malls. Sufficient space to put two huge luggages and still walk around with ease. There’s a free supper buffet available (porridge), and drinks available all the time. Bed was a little hard but you get two pillow choices. If you’re a light sleeper just know that this is a very lively area so the sounds of cars can still be heard around midnight. Nonetheless the location trumps all!

This is my favourite place to stay in Kunming. Location is perfect, just a few minutes from Green Lake and the Huashan Xilu metro station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. As for the rooms, they are small but convenient and comfortable, and very clean. But what really makes Upland really special in my opinion is the lovely courtyard and terrace. Highly recommend staying here!

We didn't need.to worry catching high speed train on early morning, easily finding food and local Shops, clean with nice contemporary design andgood functions comford bed with option of soft.and harder pillow giving us deep sleep. This hotel is simply unique. first of all the decor is beautiful, traditional chinese with a modern twist. The staff are extremely attentive and always helpful. They helped with any queries very quickly, attended to our laundry requests very quickly and never fails to serve up an awesome breakfast. OMG the breakfast - beats any 5 star hotel hands down. the simplicity and ”home cooked” food is stunning. Then attention they put into it is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable too - but because it is in a old building the walls are not too thick. I love the location. it is not in the central shopping and eating area but it is only about a 5 to 7 mins walk away. Around the hotel there is also plenty of good food. Highly recommended. I will be back.

The location of the 民宿 is really convenient，a 1 minute walk from the entrance of 古城. The staff are really friendly and they are willing to go the extra mile. Upon knowing that we are looking for a nice rose cake, they shared the rose cake that they ordered and even helped us to order to the 民宿. They also recommended a store to buy local tea and we even got a discount. Overall, the experience is really good and we will return.

Finding this cozy hotel can be tricky.. as it involve winding stairs going down to the ancient city 😂 the room is spacious as well as the bathroom, equipped with AC to control the heat during cold nights. Hosts are helpful and attentive to our needs. We love the plants and flowers at the hotel patio, which became our location for photographs ✌🏾 very walkable to the ancient city, safe, and easy to find taxi if you head out towards the main road from the hotel.

Our stay in Lijiang was very pleasant. The inn was easy to find following the location available on Trip.com. The statf were friendly and gave us good advice during our time in the city, and also invited us to have tea (for free) at any time. The room was big and comfortable, and it had AC and bed heating, which helped a lot with the cold. The inn was as beautiful as the pictures, and the view from the third floor was amazing! The night before our departure, they asked us what time we would leave and booked a tricycle to help us take our luggage to the old town gate, which was very helpful.

There’s a lovely courtyard where you can relax enjoying a view of the ancient town — I was lucky to be there during New Year’s and got to see fireworks from there! I contacted the owner a day before my arrival for baggage pickup, and he help carry my bags to the hotel. Didi rides are easy to book, but be prepared for a bit of walking — it’s recommended for those with good knees, as you’ll need to hike a little to comeback to the hotel when heading down to the town center. The owner welcomed us with tea while we waited to check in, provided a steam iron when we needed one, and the guesthouse also offers washing machines (though there’s no dryer). He was very responsive to every inquiry and made an effort to chat with us, even though we used a translator app to communicate. On our last day, he even gave us free tea and helped carry our luggage to the Didi waiting point. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lijiang!

This is my first time in Lijiang. Mr. Andy contact me days before we arriving from Kuala Lumpur to arrange for pick up at train station. But due to my WeChat aps error, we go to the hotel by DiDi and he picked us from the entrance and helped us with the bags as the old city not accessible direct by car. While we were checking in he made us tea, which was really nice. The hotel is very beautiful, just in the center of Lijiang Old Town. You can go out and stroll. The room and environment is beautiful, comfortable and clean and also all the essential are there. The whole staff of the hotel were really nice and always there for me for all the service that I need especially Mr. Andy. He taking care of us. He helped me reserving a trip to the snow mountain & Tiger Leaping Gorger. Mr. Andy led us to the meeting point in the morning. Very good of him. Mr. Andy arrange driver to send us to the train station on our last day in Lijiang. I highly recommended staying at this hotel and will never regret the experience. I had an amazing stay at Yutang Luxury Resort Hotel, located in the heart of Dali’s Gu Cheng. The location itself is a huge plus—nestled within the charming old town, it’s easy to take your time and explore the vibrant surroundings. The hotel serves a simple but delightful breakfast, and I found it to be just perfect for starting the day. It’s not overly extravagant, but it’s incredibly satisfying. One of the best things about the resort is its proximity to bars and local nightlife—just a short walk away, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of Gu Cheng until late. The staff at Yutang were attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. This hotel is very unique and warm, it feels like home and represents the Bai's culture. The location is so great, it's so close to the main road where the bus from the train station stops and where the bus to Lijiang gets on (only 2-3 minutes, you just need to cross the road). Not only that, it is also within walking distance to the dali ancient town, it's actually in the area of ancient town. The lady owner speaks english really well!! And in addition christina, the front desk lady + the front desk guy helped me booking my bus ticket to lijiang, i am so grateful.

Their kindness and attentiveness, especially when our child fell sick during the stay, were truly commendable. They provided all the assistance we needed, making a challenging situation much more manageable. Additionally, the café staff member, Mona, stood out for her patience and friendly attitude. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet the standards we expect from an Accor hotel. Communication was a significant challenge, as many of the local staff struggled with English, making it difficult to get basic information or assistance. The hotel seems to cater primarily to local Chinese guests, which greatly influenced the atmosphere. The breakfast area was chaotic and crowded, and the variety and taste of the food left much to be desired. While Mona was polite and helpful, other staff displayed a dismissive and arrogant attitude. For instance, when we inquired about some of the local breakfast items, the response was abrupt and unwelcoming, as if they didn’t care whether we ate or not. Additionally, breakfast ended strictly at 10:30 AM. While I was still taking food from the buffet, the staff turned off the lights and removed the trays right in front of me without any warning. It felt extremely inconsiderate and left a poor impression. Other Observations: The location of the hotel is convenient, and the rooms are decent. However, the overall experience may be more suited to local Chinese guests rather than international travelers expecting global standards of service and hospitality. Final Thoughts: While there were shining moments thanks to a few outstanding staff members, the overall experience at Pullman Dali did not live up to the reputation of the Accor brand. Very nice staff! Big and beautiful room! Very responsive via WeChat and quick to deliver us by using the golf cart. Free photos led by a photographer and free bag of gifts after we left. We enjoyed the stay but probably will think twice about staying overnight in the Santorini area again. It is a ghost town in Santorini after dark, no activities, no lights on in the area, everything closed after 6 pm. We walked around with our cell phone flashlight to find dinner.
