"This stay exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, the room was spotless, with good natural light and ventilation. The bed was just the right firmness, perfect for a good rest after a long day. Jonna, one of the staff members, was polite, attentive, and very responsive to requests. The common areas were spacious and well-maintained, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Overall, it's great value for money and an excellent choice for travelers."

"Check-in was a breeze. The room was clean, and there were plenty of towels and bottled water. The free swimming pool was a pleasant surprise – clean and not too crowded.
My only complaint is that the room temperature was a bit high. I'd recommend telling the front desk right away if it's uncomfortable. My bad – I'm a bit shy and thought I could fix it with the in-room control panel, but I ended up waking up in the middle of the night feeling too hot."

"This InterContinental hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to Daming Lake and Quancheng Square, and right next to Henglong Plaza, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and they offer family rooms with twin beds that include three meals, which is very friendly for families traveling with children. The in-room dining service is excellent, with a rich menu that maintains the consistent high standards of InterContinental; my child even said the food was delicious. The catering manager also thoughtfully provided seasonal wellness hot drinks, all three flavors were very tasty, sugar-free or low-sugar, which is perfect for those who can't drink tea or coffee! The front desk service was attentive, and a special thanks to Guest Relations Officer Quissy for her prompt responses. The check-in experience was fantastic. The travel photography service was also great; both the makeup artist and photographer were very patient. We walked to Pearl Spring and Daming Lake for outdoor shots and finally chose a package, leaving us with wonderful memories of our trip. Oh, and on every floor, there were multiple bottles of mineral water next to the elevators for guests to take at any time – so generous! Overall, highly recommended!"

The value for money is outstanding. The hotel boasts a prime location right in the city center and is close to Weifang Station. With Wanda Plaza next door, dining, entertainment, and shopping are incredibly convenient. I was pleasantly surprised and touched to receive a free upgrade to a suite upon check-in! Thank you! The suite was very spacious with a well-thought-out layout, and the facilities were complete, high-quality, and luxurious. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, making it bright, airy, beautiful, and comfortable. It featured a living room, a vanity, two TVs, two bathrooms, and a walk-in closet. It's quite lively, which probably explains why it's so popular. However, parking is inconvenient; you have to walk quite a distance. Also, in my room, I had absolutely no 4G signal. It might be a good option for those who don't drive."

"Overall, the hotel is pretty average, and the decor is quite dated. If you look closely, many areas are showing their age. Only the hotel exterior and lobby look decent. Let me focus on the issues.
On the first day, we arrived at the hotel around 6 PM. When we drove onto the platform, I asked if I could park there while checking in, but they wouldn't let me, even though other cars were clearly parked there. After parking in the basement and going up to the front desk, three people were standing there with their heads down. I wasn't sure if they were busy or what they were doing, so I didn't want to disturb them. I stood about 3 to 5 meters away for over half a minute. Seeing that no one was paying attention to me, I asked, ”Can I check in?” Immediately, a man told me to come to him. I saw him quickly put his phone aside; it turned out all three of them were playing on their phones. After check-in, no one told me where to find the elevator. I blindly walked in the opposite direction of the parking lot elevator and, by chance, got it right. The hotel has two side wings, and even if I had guessed wrong, there would have been an elevator, but it would have been a long detour.
As for the hotel management, I guess they haven't had much training. From the moment I arrived until I checked out, no one ever nodded at me, said hello, or acknowledged me in any way. It was always cold, indifferent brushes past each other.
The room didn't have any general-purpose tissues, only one in the bathroom by the sink. I don't know if this is standard for all rooms or if they just forgot to put one in.
The soundproofing in the room was poor. In the morning, I could clearly hear doors closing in other rooms, people talking in the hallway, and children shouting next door.
In the afternoon, I hung the 'please clean' sign on the door when I went out, but by 4:30 PM, the room still hadn't been cleaned.
The alarm clock by the bed was placed there, but it wasn't set correctly; it was an hour off, as shown in the picture.
Instant coffee is acceptable, but only sugar packets were provided, with no creamer or non-dairy creamer.
Last night, I went to the bar on the first floor. When I entered, there was a live singer performing. I couldn't see any staff at the bar, and there were no other guests. I walked to the bar to look at the menu, and suddenly a young man popped up from behind the computer. Right after we ordered our drinks, the singer left. We sat there for half an hour in complete silence; there wasn't even any soft background music. We were the only ones there the whole time."

"The hospitality in Shandong truly lives up to its reputation. I booked a triple room. Having a small courtyard was incredibly convenient, as it allowed me to chat with other hikers and hear their tips for climbing. The hotel facilities were also good. Most importantly, the owner was always eager to help. For example, my trekking poles were confiscated at the airport, but the owner kindly lent us some from his shop. Such a nice owner!"

"The room was fantastic, a cozy two-story layout with a balcony! We were able to experience the charm of Confucian culture up close (it's very close to the 'Three孔' scenic area). Our family excitedly discussed the Analects, believing that in such a quiet and harmonious environment, Confucius himself would surely feel our presence. The experience was unparalleled! We also felt the meticulous and thoughtful assistance from Marriott's front desk staff, Xiao Qian and Xiao Hong, who are from the birthplace of Confucianism. They helped me mail documents and even sent back my child's pants that were left behind after we checked out! I'm not sure if 'Marriott' (万豪) derives its '万' from the 'wan ren gong qiang' (万仞宫墙 - ten-thousand-foot palace wall) and its '豪' from the 'hao jie' (豪杰 - heroes) who have bowed down for centuries, but I do know that 'green hair' (绿发 - *possibly a playful or inside reference, hard to translate directly without context, so kept as is*) hides the promise of our family's next spontaneous journey!"

Anonymous UserWhile visiting Qingdao, I decided to spend a day in Jinan and chose the Shangri-La. Before checking in, I called to confirm that my room was ready. The lobby is impressive, and the room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped. The toiletries were excellent, and I particularly liked the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes and combs. The hotel is conveniently located opposite Quancheng Square, perfect for an evening stroll to watch the musical fountain. Baotu Spring is also within walking distance. There are plenty of malls nearby, and both takeout and dining options are easily accessible. The old city, however, is genuinely congested; it took almost 40 minutes to get to Jinan Station by taxi, and I barely made my train. The hotel also seems to offer intangible cultural heritage activities, but I didn't have time to participate. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a more leisurely trip to Jinan.

Guest UserJust got back from Yantai, and my stay at the Hilton Yantai Golden Coast was unexpectedly pleasant. What I loved most was the view; I could see the shimmering sea right from my bed in the room. The family room was just the right size, and the bedding was soft and breathable. The public facilities were well-maintained; it was lovely to squeeze in a workout at the gym in the morning. Henny's service was spot-on, always handling any issues promptly and smoothly. The hotel has been around for a while, so some minor details aren't perfect, but its relaxed atmosphere makes up for it. Taking a stroll to Golden Beach after dinner to enjoy the sea breeze really maximized the vacation vibe. If you're looking to gaze at the sea and relax, this place is highly recommended. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

Guest UserJust checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape.
The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good.
Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

When traveling to Qingdao, I chose to stay at the Westin, initially drawn by its location and hotel standard. However, the front desk service truly impressed me. I had to change my check-in time last minute during my trip, and after communicating online in advance, the front desk staff prepared everything for my check-in. Upon arrival, I didn't have to wait long in the lobby and was able to check in quickly, which saved me a lot of hassle after a long journey.
During check-in, considering I was tired from a long journey, the staff spoke in a calm and soothing manner, providing only essential and practical information. Throughout my stay, I called the front desk multiple times to inquire about luggage storage and late check-out policies. Each time, they answered promptly, provided clear explanations, and offered suitable solutions from a guest's perspective.
Check-out was transparent and reassuring. Even near shift change, the staff diligently completed their tasks without rushing guests or being perfunctory.
Throughout my entire stay, the front desk team was polite and composed, demonstrating professionalism. During busy times, they worked efficiently and calmly. When it was less busy, they remained at their posts and maintained their service-oriented attitude, without any slack or idleness. Excellent service is hidden in many small details; there's no forced politeness, yet every interaction makes you feel secure and comfortable. The front desk's service alone is enough to make me willing to stay again, and I sincerely recommend it to friends visiting Qingdao.

Anonymous UserThis stay was fantastic! The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, and the room was very pleasant to stay in. They offer a breakfast with a wide variety of delicious options. The biggest surprise was the front desk staff, particularly a young man who was incredibly warm and attentive. He patiently helped with all our questions and had an excellent attitude. The location is also a huge plus – it's very close to the airport, just a five or six-minute walk to the terminal, which is super convenient for catching flights without rushing. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next layover.

We were very satisfied with our overall vacation experience. First and foremost, I'd like to commend Levi at the front desk – he was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. After speaking with him, he assisted us in requesting a late check-out and thoughtfully recommended a local spot for delicious BBQ and beer. He was also very thorough in explaining all the facilities.
Midway through our stay, the air conditioning in our room stopped working. We reported it, and the issue was resolved very quickly.
The check-in process was efficient, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is very close to the beach, so the location is great. Guest UserTraveling with kids, my priority was a hotel with direct beach access, which led me to choose the Hyatt Regency Qingdao Shanhai. The location is truly a huge plus! 🌊 You can go straight down to the beach from the hotel and even catch the sunrise over the sea, which significantly enhanced our experience. It's also very close to Wheat Island, Fushan Forest Park, and the Polar Ocean World, making sightseeing and excursions effortless. The executive lounge offers breathtaking views and a wide panorama, and the food quality is excellent; it's a very pleasant spot to relax.
A special thanks to Sheila ✨ from the staff. She was incredibly patient and attentive from the booking stage, helping me compare and analyze the executive and sea-view rooms, giving suitable recommendations based on my needs, and enthusiastically suggesting nearby attractions. She also arranged for a child safety rail. Since we were with a child, we also received a complimentary sand play bucket. I initially expected an ordinary freebie, but I was pleasantly surprised by its excellent craftsmanship and quality; my child absolutely loved it. The service throughout our stay was meticulous and thoughtful, making for a truly wonderful overall experience. Highly recommended for families with children! We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Qingdao.

We chose Shangri-La Qingdao for our family trip with kids, and the entire stay exceeded our expectations! The check-in process was incredibly thoughtful, with a warm welcome tea and complimentary beer offered, instantly washing away our travel fatigue upon arrival. The staff proactively introduced the hotel's kids' craft area. My child absolutely loved the various clay DIY and creative craft projects, especially playing with Cherry – they had so much fun they didn't want to leave, which was a lifesaver for us parents. We even added Cherry on WeChat, and she patiently answered all our questions, meticulously recommending nearby attractions and authentic local restaurants tailored to our family's itinerary. She also distinguished between trendy spots and family-friendly places, helping us plan routes that saved time and effort. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to May Fourth Square and the Olympic Sailing Center. Our room was clean and comfortable, and service responses were prompt. We felt the meticulous and thoughtful care everywhere. It's perfect whether for a short break or as a base for exploring Qingdao. With its superior facilities, warm service, and fun kids' activities, it's highly recommended for family travel. Next time we visit Qingdao, Shangri-La will still be our top choice. The hotel's dinner buffet offered great value for money! The seafood was fresh and there was a wide variety, so much so that we ate dinner at the hotel's buffet for 3 consecutive nights. It was so convenient not having to stress about finding a restaurant.
The hotel's backyard connects to a seaside promenade, perfect for walking or cycling. Along the way, we saw many people fishing, catching huge mantis shrimp and blue crabs. It was wonderful to enjoy fresh seafood right by the ocean!
