We stayed here for 3 nights. It’s a nice hotel with friendly staff. It’s the small things that bother me like on the 2nd floor at the elevator only the up button can be pressed. At breakfast, at 09:00 when we came for breakfast the eggs were cold. The next day we had a pickup at 07:10 and they said breakfast starts at 06;00. I guess nobody told the kitchen staff. They only put out the food at 06:25 and the eggs were cold. The 3rd day we went down at 06:20 and everyone still had to wait for them. And guess what, the eggs were cold. The rooms are nice and you have a nice view from the room to lake Argentina.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Nice room with balcony. The staff was extremely accommodating. I am a psychotherapist and needed a private space at one point during my stay to have a session with a client who was in crisis. They were able to provide me that space and were quite sympathetic. It was easily walkable to town each day, and we had no problem arranging a tour to take us to the glacier. For an extra charge, the hotel was able to provide us a very nice lunch for the time that we were at the glacier. We dined in the restaurant for dinner two of the nights, and both experiences were wonderful. The food was top-notch for dinner, and the cocktails were also superb! The breakfast each morning, which I believe was included, was absolutely delicious! There were a lot of healthy options provided. I would also like to highly recommend the medical facility that was quite close to the hotel, TMSALUD. I had an issue with my knee and got in quickly to have a consult with Dr. Gimenez, who was INCREDIBLE! Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel not only for the accommodations, but for location to all the attractions nearby.

I had to get up from the table to ask for a menu because the attention was terrible.  Literally HALF AN HOUR AFTER ORDERING our food, the waitress came over to tell us that ONE OF THE DISHES WAS NOT AVAILABLE! One hour wait for food and food arrived at the table at 11:20 p.m.  A real disaster. The food service to the room has an extra cost of $1,000 if you ask that the food be brought to your room. Breakfast is nothing special and pretty disappointing. The WIFI signal is bad and the SPA and sauna service that they boast so much about on the website are not a big thing. MY SPA TREATMENT WAS NOT RELAXING AT ALL. I WAS FREEZING THE WHOLE TIME AND ROOM WAS SO BRIGHT I JUST WANTED TO LEAVE! No kettle if you need to heat water, the furniture is old and the TV is also very old, no Netflix or YouTube, like any 5 star hotel of nowadays. The pool is very small, zero privacy or comfort if there are other people enjoying it.  It has a few lounge chairs piled up in a corner so you don't even want to stay there. The Design Suite Hotel is exactly what it is called. It is a very design and very beautiful hotel. It should be the best view hotel in Calafate to see the Lake of Argentina. Each room has a whole window overlooking the lake. While slowly admiring the beautiful lake view, snow peaks, blue sky and white clouds. The restaurant is very beautiful, the breakfast is rich, the taste is good, the service is very warm, and the English is very good. It is very intimate that you can order a lunch set on the glacier hike, and there are oversized sandwiches, apples, water, chocolate pie, and energy bars, which are very worthwhile. Walk along the lake to the town center in about half an hour, and also pass through the wetland park. There are buses to and from the airport to pick up and drop off, following the bus is equivalent to a day trip to the town! All in all, very good value for money.

Destino sur The location of this hotel is perfect. It’s really close to the start of the trailhead for the Laguna Del los Tres hike. We found that there weren’t very many nice hotel options in El Chalten so this was a good choice. The breakfast was great with lots of options to fuel yourself ahead of a long day of hiking. One disappointing part of the hotel was the Spa area. The pool was not very clean and the Fitness suite was seemed like it was just a bit of a tick box to get their stars. It was an incredibly small room with only cardio equipment; when you’re in one of the best locations for hiking in the world the last thing you’re gonna want to do in a hotel gym is cardio- would suggest replacing the Treadmill with some weights And stretching equipment instead.

Although the hotel is not in the town center, the hotel provides a shuttle bus to and from the town center every hour, and the drive is about 15 minutes, not far. The hotel is located on the shores of Lake Argentine, with beautiful scenery and gorgeous sunrise colors! The front desk of the hotel has a service to provide local tourism projects. The lady has a very good attitude and helps our family to arrange the itinerary. The town is not big and has a very breath of life!

A modest aging property located in the small town of Califate that provides a convenient base for exploring the nearby lake and natural wonders. It looks quite stately from the lobby and exterior but the rooms and especially the bathrooms are long over due for an upgrade. We stayed for two nights at the end of January as part of a tour to visit glaciers and national parks. We stayed in a king room on the 2nd floor. While perfectly clean and comfortable it was definitely a step down from other hotels on this trip-comparable to a mid-scale spot in the US. Like other area hotels in Patagonia, there is no Ac due to the normally cool climate and heat is provide via antiquated radiators. Luckily there was a large sliding window to open but without any cross ventilation or fan to move air, the room felt stuffy. The small bathroom was at least 20 years old with outdated fixtures like the tub/shower combo and a tiny single sink with antiquated faucet and sputtering water pressure. Bath amenities were also very basic. Breakfast was included and while there were many selections, items were largely packaged and canned foods set out like canned pears, cold cuts, and processed meats and cheese. As I said, despite the woeful lack of creature comforts, as a place to crash for a couple of nights it was perfectly adequate.

Hotel is made of cardboard. Walls super thin and there is zero control of other guests. I know it’s hard to control but when other guests leave their door Ld open and party in the halls come on!?! At least Daniel at front desk moved us. Some runs have micro safes and barely any room to put anything incl a laptop. No hot water one morning. Fun taking a shower. Mattresses were poor and warped. Breakfast was pretty lousy. Pool and spa looked okay. Dirt, dusty road to walk to downtown. Do not get a room on first floor. Workers loom in you room and can’t leave window open for some fresh air since no A/C. Hard pass.

Positives: - clean room, although part of the bed was broken (the mattress on one side had slightly collapsed) - good wifi - friendly staff - okay breakfast buffet - plentiful, easy and complimentary parking - nice location outside town. The taxis are cheap and easy to use. Negatives: - tried to book treatments at the spa, but was informed it's fully booked. The hotel could inform customers of the need to pre-book before arrival. - the room contained no slippers. Was informed we could get them from the spa but was met by an almost scary lady who demanded a deposit (!!) for SLIPPERS. It would also, apparently, have required filling in forms (:D ). At this point, I didn't know whether I should cry or laugh and decided that the slippers were most definitely not worth the time and effort. - the complimentary shuttle only requires pre-booking TO town and I wouldn't count on using it coming back from town since it appeared to be the survival of the quickest queue-jumper... - two cleaners, on two separate occasions, tried to enter our room even though the ”Do not disturb” sign was hanging on the know and we were trying to sleep. The first try was at 9.30 in the morning! I was absolutely furious. - housekeeping began cleaning rooms at 7 am with zero regard for customers in their rooms. They came armed with extremely loud walkie-talkies so good look having a sleep-in (oh, but that won't be possible anyway as someone will forcefully enter your room even though there's a Do not disturb sign....) - lousy sound isolation between other rooms as well as between the room and hallway. We could hear what TV programme our neighbour was watching and exactly what they were doing in the bathroom. In conclusion, this hotel has great potential but needs to focus more on the small details and the customer experience.

Ubicado a poca distancia del centro, 5 minutos andando. Las camas muy comodas, habitación con baño privado con ducha muy grande, instalaciones limpias. Amplio salon comedor muy bonito con unas vistas muy lindas para ver la puesta de sol. Destacar la amabilidad de el personal y predisposición para ayudar, aconsejar en todo, les doy un 10. Muy contenta con las estancia, sin duda repetiría.
