Room facilities: The triple room was a bit small, and the window on the first floor didn't get much natural light (it faced a wall). We found some dander and hair on the beds, though not a lot. Service attitude: The staff at check-in were very friendly. The hotel is spread out like a 'resort' with many buildings. Staff marked our room location on a map and showed us how to get there (it wasn't far, just a short walk of a few dozen seconds). Both check-in and check-out were very convenient. Hotel location: You have to walk up a small slope to get to the hotel, but it's not too tiring. The overall location is good (very close to the skyline) and it's very quiet. It's also not far from the town.

Perfect little gem ; property looks fresh and renovated. Quiet and hosts are smiling and very courteous.

It's alright, about a 10-minute drive from where you can see the penguins. The only downside is that the kitchen utensils are a bit sparse – not even a single knife, just one pair of scissors. I'd suggest the hotel at least provides a knife set. Also, there were only two hangers, which wasn't enough. The bed was quite comfortable. The water pressure was very low, so I didn't even bother showering that day.

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. Overall, this accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The unit was very spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. The layout was practical and suitable for both short and longer stays, with ample space to move around and relax. One of the biggest advantages was how easy the place was to locate. Clear directions and a convenient location made check-in smooth and stress-free, especially after a long journey. The surrounding area was also quiet and pleasant, allowing for a restful stay. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, from the rooms to the common areas, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this accommodation offers great comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

There is also a 26-kilometer road from the centre of Glenorchy, and all are gravel roads. The car is a little worried to walk. People who live together are not driving, so it is not easy to come over. Everyone does not know that this hostel is so remote. Such a difficult road to go. However, the environment is very good and very quiet. The stars you see at night are not worse than tekapo. If it is not self-driving, it is recommended not to toss here. The supermarket is only available in the town center, and it is 26 kilometers, most of the gravel road. Think of this, just make a order in it. A little expensive, so a meal of 50 yuan, or something cold-cold, not used to eating. Eat your own food for dinner and cook in the public kitchen. Because it can't be rectified here, so the person who ordered it is relatively cautious, and booked a few days in advance, there are actually beds. Walk along the original trails along the lake and enjoy the peace.

We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs. As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

Very roomy unit with all the facilities needed. Aircon was on at arrival so a comfortable start. Bed was good, bathroom was good. Not motels fault but people in next door unit stayed up late and were noisy. We are staying at the motel again next week.

Chinese service, attentive and enthusiastic service, the car encountered some problems, the owner has been helping to communicate on the phone, thank you very much! The room is clean and hygienic. It has its own yard and parking is convenient. The car is parked at the door of the room. The motel is right on the main road, making it easy to get in and out. This is a very nice motel, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was convenient, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.
