Though it is not located inside the scenic area, it is worth staying here because there are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, massage parlours, and traditional costume and make up shops that you can get better price than within the scenic area. The hotel owner also helped to arrange a rickshaw to bring us tour nanzha(south part of Wuzhen) which depicts more of the lifestyle of the local people with a few nice areas for photography and to buy local produce. Many chinese dramas were also filmed at Nanzha area which the rickshaw rider explained very well but in mandarin chinese. He also helped to take nice photographs for us. The hotel owner also helped to book a car from Wuzhen to Tongli at a reasonable price. If you are travelling from either Hangzhou or Suzhou to this hotel, i would recommend that you give the hotel owner a call and ask him to arrange for a car to get you from those places to Wuzhen especially if you travel in groups of 2-4 persons because the hotel owner is able to get a reasonably priced car. Overall, i would stay in this hotel again if i visit Wuzhen again, because of the owner’s great hospitality and service.

Lovely, spacious room that's great for relaxing in, with a good bathroom too. (I stayed in a double room alone; the bathroom is not set up for privacy, so it's better for couples rather than friends.) Very reasonable price. The only thing to note is that the main door closes around midnight, so it can be tricky to have a late night out.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, especially the mattress was moderately soft and hard, with a width of 1.35 meters. This was the widest mattress I had slept on in many hotels. The only shortcoming of the hotel was that there were no plastic slippers for bathing. The hotel is about one kilometer away from the scenic area. We took an electric tricycle to go there, and the fare was ten yuan per trip. It is recommended to drive into the scenic area. The parking fee is ten yuan and you can park for 6 hours.

Very nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets. Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good. I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones. The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions. The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative
