We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

Service: The boss is very enthusiastic and the service is very good. We arrived at the store relatively late, and they came out to greet us. The necessary items will be delivered as soon as possible. Environment: The courtyard is very clean, comfortable and quiet. Facilities: We specially booked a room with floor heating (the heating was turned on for us in advance) and there was an electric blanket on the bed, so we could sleep warmly.

tea horse guest house is one of the main check points along the trek, and has a viewing deck (with bar) where you can get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views of the mountain. the location is superb, and is the perfect spot to stop at if you are doing a 2D1N hike. sit outside of your room and look at the stars at night. as the area is being developed to accommodate more tourist, you’d notice lots of construction going on… amenities are super basic, soap shampoo is provided in sachets and the en-suite rooms have wet toilets (open shower and toilet without partitions). food here is basic, nothing to shout about. my stir fried vegetables came swimming in oil… which i learnt is just how the people in this area cook their food. you can scribble your signature on the walls floors chairs furniture etc as a momento… but the scribbling was too overwhelming for my liking. consider this location for the heritage (being the middle point of the entire tea horse route)… and for the views. even the shared toilets have a view!

After staying in this hotel for 4 days, other hotels have a very high benchmark to follow! Service and room comfort is top notch. 小谭 is an excellent customer service guy. He communicated effortlessly with my limited Chinese and helped us from before we arrived until after we left. All our transport, tours and activities in Lijiang were arranged by him. I believe that because of his high expectations from the service providers, we got the best experience (and at reasonable price too!). The room was very spacious and comfortable with 2 heaters and plenty of drinking water. I am a sensitive sleeper who cannot tolerate noise. It is very peaceful here and is only troubled by boisterous guests. The owner of this hotel is not stingy and has discerning taste. He must also be a kind man as all the staff are committed and happy to work. The only sour note are the staff manning the coffee station. They are aloof and curt, like they are helping in their father's cafe. Location is perfectly situated in the heart of the ancient city, a couple of strides and you can find food, entertainment and the beautiful canals. However, it is about 10 minutes walk to the main gate so if you are going out for tours and visiting other spots in Lijiang, make sure you save energy to walk back to the hotel at the end of the day. Also, we forgot to mark the location and got lost trying to get back. This hotel has truly elevated our holiday experience in Lijiang. Such a cute place in a beautiful location! The owner’s are very very sweet and welcoming. The room I was staying in was nice and cozy. In the day time I could soak in sunlight while looking out on the mountains, at night time I got warm from the AC and warm blankets. In the common room they also have a traditional fire oven where you can sit at get warm while trying some of their local foods and chit chat. Just staying in this nice environment made the trip so amazing. I hope I can come back soon again.

After a long day of hiking we were grateful to settle into our cosy, comfortable room overlooking the gorge. The room was big and the bed was extremely comfortable we almost didn’t want to get out. The hosts were a lovely family, always welcoming us with a smile and fruit. The food was delicious and made from scratch, tasted like home cooking. The son drove us back to Lijiang train station. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend. The dog is also super cute.

The environment is very good, the room is very comfortable, the boss and the landlady are very welcoming, and it is very convenient to go out to eat. It is right next to the Moonlight Square in the ancient city, and it is very convenient to visit the ancient city at night. You can also warm yourself by the fire. The environment is good, the location is convenient, and the heating equipment is very powerful. The owner contacted me proactively and went to the parking lot to greet me in person. The check-in and check-out procedures were very simple and neat. I will stay here again in the future.

We stayed here after hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge and were happy to find a very clean and spacious room with reliable heating. The floors and room are heated and the hot water works well. The room also includes oxygen to make your stay comfortable. The property is quite big and also seems to be relatively new. It's well maintained. The location was great, it's about 5 minutes from the Ancient Town East Gate with plenty of grocery, convenience store, and restaurant options around. The Big Buddha temple is a short 5 minute walk away. The staff are really helpful. They created a wechat group for us with all their staff so they could help us with any requests or information immediately. They helped us arrange a driver for a day trip. We didn't get to try the breakfast or restaurant during our stay here.

I highly recommend all to stay this inn. We stayed two nights at this inn. Hospitality, cleanses, location and facilities, everything was perfect. Room, shower and toilet are super clean enough that we took shower many times during our stay. Even in winter, shower room has a ceiling heater and you wouldn’t feel any coldness. Outlook of the inn is so beautiful and very instagenic. Also you can see stunning views of cityscape of ancient town and mountains from the rooftop. You can also meet the friendly dog at the lobby by chance. Location is absolutely convenient in the ancient town, walk-distance for any sites including tourist spots and necessary services like atm or supermarket, and very near to the famous night market where you can grab multiple snacks. Also it’s located near the entrance of ancient town areas, it enables you to access easily to meet up with taxi or transportation services even you carry suitcases. More than anything, we were so impressed with their hospitality. Since we are foreigners, we frequently got in troubles in the other accommodations through our 8 days travel in China. But this inn was the oasis for us. Many thanks to the owner, who is too nice and fluent in English, she willingly helped us any of our needs! Especially, she made so much effort for us to book the transpiration to come back to Kunming even in the difficult season while China is in holidays. I personally never had met such a way kind owner through my experiences in traveling 50 countries. I truly appreciate all staff in the inn for heart-warming and unforgettable experiences in Lijiang. Everybody, book this inn!
