"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Wonderful Stay – Truly Unforgettable Experience We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel and would like to give our highest possible recommendation from the bottom of our hearts. From the very first moment we arrived, we felt not like ordinary guests, but like truly welcome and valued people. The atmosphere in the hotel is incredibly warm, calm, and pleasant — it really feels like a place where you can fully relax and enjoy your time. The room was perfect: extremely clean, well-maintained, beautifully prepared, and what impressed us especially was the fresh and pleasant smell — everything felt cozy, comfortable, and carefully looked after. Housekeeping is doing an excellent job, and cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyable, with fresh and tasty food that gave us a great start to each day. We truly looked forward to breakfast every morning. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the reception team. The girls and boys at the front desk are not only friendly, but also highly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. We would like to give special thanks to Nini (妮妮). From the very beginning, she helped us with a serious personal issue during our stay. We faced a big problem, and thanks to her patience, responsibility, and sincere desire to help, she supported us step by step and even helped us get our money back. This level of care is far beyond standard hotel service. She proved that the reception team here is not just present for formalities — they truly help guests solve real and important problems. We are deeply grateful to her. The entire reception team always tried to accommodate our requests in every possible way, making sure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Their attitude made us feel truly cared for. Another lovely detail was the availability of bath salt, which made our evenings especially relaxing after a long day. Small thoughtful touches like this make a big difference. We traveled as a couple and spent our time here almost like a honeymoon. It was a romantic, peaceful, and joyful experience. We rested deeply, felt refreshed, and were completely satisfied with the hotel, the service, and the whole team. We are extremely happy with our stay and can confidently say that we will definitely return. "Came to Shanghai with a friend and booked this hotel last minute. Unexpectedly, the front desk service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, and they even upgraded our room! The room was spacious, bright, and super comfortable. The shuttle service was punctual and reliable, taking care of all our transportation needs. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with hot dishes, pastries, and drinks all available, plus coffee. The location is convenient, and both the service and quality are top-notch. Highly recommend! "The facilities are complete, and the hygiene is spotless. The room is spacious and bright, and the surrounding transportation is convenient. Customer service ambassador Yolanda provided thoughtful service, and I had a very satisfying stay! The breakfast also tasted good. The hotel is right in Xintiandi, so you can go out and explore as soon as you step downstairs. When you're tired from walking, you can come back and rest. The location is excellent, and there's live music at night, which creates a great atmosphere."

"Arrived late at night, but the staff member was very welcoming and showed me to my room. The place was very clean, and the location was excellent. The room was spacious, which I really liked. It's definitely a spot worth checking out! I enjoyed all the breakfast options, and the coffee was great! ☕️👍"

"The hotel environment is quite good, and I got an upgrade to a room with plenty of space and a bathtub upon check-in. However, the room was completely different from the loft room shown in the booking photos. It was on the first floor with an inner-facing window (no privacy at all, as people in the lounge could look straight in if the curtains weren't drawn), which the front desk failed to mention beforehand. The hotel advertises itself as a 'warm and welcoming stay' on its walls, but I didn't feel it at all. The service wasn't very attentive, and staff training definitely needs improvement. For example, I called three hours ahead to book an airport pick-up, and the front desk just told me to call back when I was closer. When I called a second time, they didn't tell me the pick-up point, only to wait for the driver's call, and their tone was impatient. After waiting for ages, the driver called and told me to wait for the next shuttle. The whole pick-up communication process was very disorganized. The carpet in the hallway outside the room made it really hard to drag my suitcase. I struggled a bit, and the housekeeping auntie's first reaction wasn't to ask if I needed help, but to directly ask 'What's wrong?' which was a bit speechless. The hotel offers free postcards and mailing services at the front desk. When I asked for them, the front desk told me to get them myself from a display table. But there were only two creased and marked ones left on the table, so I couldn't send any. The bathtub plug was already closed. I intended to rinse the tub and have a bath, but no matter how I pressed it, the plug wouldn't pop up. I called, and after more than 10 minutes, no one knocked on the door. I couldn't wait any longer and went to shower, and that's when they finally knocked. So, no bath for me. The in-house restaurant didn't have great service. The prices weren't cheap either (spring rolls + pork rib soup for 60 yuan). The taste was decent, but the portions were small, and the pork rib soup tasted like it had been kept warm for a while."

"The front desk lady was very kind; since it was my first stay, she even gave me breakfast coupons because I didn't notice when booking that breakfast wasn't included 🥲. But she was really nice, and the dinner there was delicious, very authentic. I had dinner there with my boss and suppliers for a meeting, and surprisingly, even the Western food was excellent. The bar in the lobby is also great, and the customer service is good. Plus, there's a free shuttle bus to Pudong Airport in the morning, which is very convenient. I'll definitely stay here again for my next business trip!"

"We were very happy with our stay at Riverdale Residence. The two-bedroom apartment was extremely comfortable for our family of five, as the unit was very spacious and well designed. The amenities were excellent and thoughtfully provided. The apartment came fully equipped with a washer-cum-dryer, microwave, oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, and a complete set of cutlery, which made our stay very convenient. Both the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, and we appreciated having a bathtub. There was ample space to open our luggage, generous wardrobe space for hanging clothes, a full-length mirror in the living room, and a dedicated cabinet for storing shoes. The living and dining area was also very comfortable, with a four-seater dining table where we enjoyed meals that we ordered in. The location is convenient, with Xintiandi within walking distance—about a 10-minute walk if you don’t mind a short stroll. Most importantly, the service staff were exceptionally helpful and polite throughout our stay. We were very impressed by their service and hospitality. We would definitely book Riverdale Residence again if we return to Shanghai."

"The hotel is right next to the subway, making transport incredibly convenient. I left for the airport only two hours before my flight and, even with check-out, subway travel, checking in, and security, I still had a whole extra hour to spare. The front desk staff, especially one young man, was incredibly polite and helpful. The room itself was clean, tidy, and absolutely flawless, and the balcony offered a pretty expansive view."

"Stayed 4 nights. Price of room is reasonable and it's spacious. All communication is via WeChat mini programme and response is immediate. Location is not in the prime area but subway is only 7 mins walk away. It's pretty convenient. Good stay."

"I stayed at this hotel for one night during a business trip and overall had a smooth experience. The price is very reasonable, and the hotel itself is fairly ok. They also gave me an upgrade when I checked in, but I can’t say how that room was different to the one that I booked. The rooms and breakfast were both okay — nothing outstanding, but perfectly fine for a short stay. One of the highlights is the convenient location, with many dinner options nearby, which was great for our needs. I appreciated the welcome cookie, although it was quite hard and crumbly — a nice gesture, but not very tasty. One small inconvenience was that I couldn’t get a Chinese invoice (fapiao) directly at the hotel; instead, they told me to request it through the booking app, which I found a bit unusual. Despite these minor issues, it was an easy and pleasant stay. I would definitely consider staying here again if I need a hotel in this area at this price point."
