The front desk staff was exceptionally welcoming and efficient with check-in, even proactively recommending some off-the-beaten-path attractions and tips to avoid tourist traps. The WiFi signal was stable, hot water came out in 3 seconds, and the water pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. To get this level of service and amenities at such a price is truly amazing value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!"

"This was an ok place. Very nice staff. But the room was iffy. The toilet was about 24inches high…..too low for seniors. Beds were pretty nice. The TV was the worst ever….virtually no channels at all. No sports, no networks, no nothing. I would not choose this again just on the TV."

"We were visiting the school, and this was the worst hotel with terrible service! I booked a king-size bed plus a sofa bed, which cost 300 yuan more than a standard room. However, the dark-skinned woman at the front desk was very unfriendly. When I got to the room, I found it was a standard room. I went downstairs to talk to her, and she was full of lies, saying they had upgraded us to two beds because the room I booked was no longer available. We immediately reported it to Ctrip, and another male front desk staff member changed our room. The service at this hotel is just awful! It doesn't live up to Yale's reputation!"

The roadside is full of exquisite residential buildings, and the lawns are neatly trimmed, which is very beautiful. The hotel room is very spacious, the breakfast is also very good, and the service attitude is very friendly and polite. The wooden building structure has a slightly poor sound insulation. The footsteps of the guests on the upper floor can affect the lower floor. Overall, I am very satisfied. Tips, the breakfast is rich, the oatmeal porridge is suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the bagel with butter is very liked."

"This hotel is close to the Christmas town of olde mystic village. Very suitable for seeing the Christmas lights. It is also only a road away from the famous mystic aquarium, which is very convenient to visit. The hotel's restaurant is also good, short rib sandwitch is very good value for money, it tastes like Shaanxi Roujiayu 😄"

"Good clean centrally located motel type hotel in quite part of Mystic
Spacious clean newly upgraded rooms with private bathrooms and separated sink outside of bathroom. Would have liked to have sink INSIDE bath as well. Housekeeping staff friendly and willing to help with needed items.
TV in room did not work upon check-in late in the day but was replaced promptly the next morning with very pleasant maintenance person.
Breakfast was adequate. Bagels were fresh and hard boiled eggs soft and tasty and Folgers coffee was delicious as was fresh squeezed orange juice
Besides the above-mentioned sink location and TV mishap , I would give Spark excellent review and would happily stay there again on my next visit to Mystic Seaport."

A positive surprise: the room had a couch corner, coffee machine and microwave as well as the actual bedroom. This is rare in this price range. Although everything was clean, the hotel also has room for improvement (peeling wallpaper and stained sofa). The reception staff were very quick and friendly!

I didn't realize there was no surface lots and I'd have to pay $25/day for parking. I might have missed that in the description so that's not really an issue. We were given a room on the top floor, in practically the farthest corner away from the elevator which was quiet, but far away from the rest of my daughter's teammates who were staying on lower floors. We dropped our stuff and went right to the pool. There were only 4 chairs and no towels left so we had to go searching for them and most of our stuff got wet sitting on the floor so that was frustrating. The signs on each floor say ”ice and vending” but the floors I checked had ice machines only and I had to resort to paying $4.00 for a can of orange soda at the bar for my daughter. The store in the hotel was closed, though I'm not sure if it would've been cheaper. After swimming and hanging out in the spacious lobby, we returned to our room to realize it wasn't very clean but it was time for my daughter to shower and go to bed since she had a gymnastics meet at 7:45 am. I took pictures of the hair tie in the sink, the bug on the bathroom floor, the hair on the vanity and floor, the stains on the bed skirt, etc. Kind of disappointed bc I usually stay at Marriott hotels for work and never have these issues. The coffee shop in the lobby was quick the next morning though which was good since we had to get up so early.

My first night at the hotel was fantastic, setting a positive tone for my stay. The second night brought a few challenges—minimal bathroom ventilation, a louder air conditioner, and some trouble connecting to Wi-Fi. However, the hotel staff were attentive and promptly offered me a new room, which resolved these issues and provided a much smoother experience.
I took advantage of the fitness center, though navigating the new treadmills was a bit tricky since they weren’t pre-programmed. While the pool closure was disappointing, the hotel acknowledged my concerns and generously offered me a complimentary dinner with a drink.
On the third night, I accidentally left my car keys behind when heading out in the morning. Upon returning, my key card didn’t work, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Later, I relaxed in my room, appreciating the view despite a minor inconvenience with a broken curtain rod. Once again, the hotel addressed my concerns with care, granting me a complimentary night and a refund as a gesture of goodwill.
While the hotel has room for improvement with its facilities, the staff truly stood out with their professionalism, teamwork, and genuine efforts to ensure my comfort. Their dedication turned what could have been a frustrating experience into one that left me feeling valued. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

If you own a car and buy food, drink and daily necessities in advance, it will be good. It is suitable for those who want to live at home. It has a small kitchen, wet and dry separation in the bathroom... The air conditioning temperature is controllable, and the bedding is comfortable. There is no ancillary facilities such as a hotel lobby, and there is a simple breakfast. It’s pretty much the same as an average American family breakfast. Coffee, milk, eggs, hot oatmeal... That's it: you buy some daily necessities, add luggage, and live comfortably ”at home”. Therefore, go to Target before moving in. It is suitable for you to stay for a long time if you have children studying nearby. Remember! You must have your own car.
