"The value for money is average; the price is a bit high, which is understandable since it's a tourist spot and a bit far from the beach. This is likely due to it being newly renovated. The hotel sign isn't even up yet. However, the owner's service is really excellent."

"The location and recreational facilities here are excellent. The staff are also generally friendly. However, there's a cultural difference that's worth noting: the local 'pole pole' (slowly, slowly) and 'hakuna matata' (no worries) mindset can clash a bit with the 'ppalli ppalli' (hurry up) tendency of Koreans. Haha. But if you experience it, you'll realize there's no ill intent, so as a traveler, it's best to just relax and go with the flow. I mention this because I had a bewildering experience where I booked through Trip.com, but upon arrival, the resort told me there was no reservation. In the end, I spoke with a Trip.com agent, and the issue was resolved well. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but it seemed like a booking system problem. I don't think it was solely Trip.com's fault; I suspect there might have been a system issue on the resort's side as well. The resort staff working that day did their best (honestly, there wasn't much they could do; it was evening, and they even showed me on the monitor that there was no reservation). Luckily, there was a room available, so I was able to book the same room on the spot. As soon as the payment went through, it seemed to appear immediately in the resort's booking system, and they gave me the confirmation. Haha. I was so tired, humid, and mosquito-bitten after flying in from Serengeti and arriving in the evening... it was tough. Haha. I'm so glad it was resolved; I don't even want to think about what would have happened if there were no rooms left. Make sure to send a reservation confirmation email to the resort and get it confirmed. On the way, I saw a Google review from another Korean who experienced the exact same thing and left an angry review. They booked through Agoda, and I booked through Trip.com, so I believed I wouldn't have this issue. That's because I've never had such a problem in the several years I've been booking through Trip.com. Yes. So, definitely send a reservation confirmation email directly to the resort and get it confirmed! The facilities are clean, convenient, and really great. For this price, I think it's excellent. And having a dive center attached is very convenient. The boat for the dolphin tour was really nice. Lolololol. Our boat was the best. Of course, it was more expensive. And I loved having unlimited drinks at the bar every day. I want to go again. It looked like they were building another resort next door, haha. I hope this review is helpful to everyone."

"Good hotel, the grounds are small but well-maintained. Breakfasts are standard, everything you need is there, nothing fancy, but it's a shame there's no variety. The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and go out of their way for guests. The beach isn't perfectly clean, I wouldn't say that (trash cans, ashtrays, dishes are rarely cleared). The rooms are decent, with minor imperfections, but they didn't bother us. Overall, I recommend it, a solid 4+ star hotel."

"The entire island experiences intermittent power outages. I encountered this about three times a day in both the restaurant and my room, each lasting less than ten seconds before power was restored. Some of the staff, especially a female chef at one of the restaurants (the head chef rotates nightly), showed clear disdain for Asian guests. Upon check-in, a male front desk staff member saw that I only had a small backpack (a tiny summit pack, as my main luggage was left in Kilimanjaro and not brought to Zanzibar). I was already carrying it myself, but he forcibly took it from me, even after I told him it wasn't necessary, clearly trying to earn a tip. Once in the room, he kept making small talk and wouldn't leave, seemingly afraid I wouldn't tip him. I ended up giving him one. When I was checking out, my flight was delayed, so I asked if I could extend my check-out by an hour. The staff confirmed that an extension wasn't possible, but I could still use the hotel's beverage, snack, and other facilities. Since I had an all-inclusive package, I double-checked with a male staff member on the phone and a female staff member at the front desk about getting a drink, given my flight was delayed by three hours (my check-out was at 12 PM, and I hoped to leave around 1 PM). They both said it was fine. So, at 12:30 PM, I had a glass of orange juice by the pool. At 1 PM, as I was leaving the hotel, I was stopped and asked to pay. The staff member who had previously confirmed this with me, along with another server (not the beverage server), debated with me in front of their supervisor. Eventually, the supervisor, James, intervened and told me I could leave. One of the bartenders at the beach bar also displayed discrimination towards Asians, practically fawning over white guests. I sat there for ages, and he ignored me even after I politely asked for the menu twice, pretending not to hear. As soon as a white person sat down, he was instantly there, chatting them up. Overall, I'm dissatisfied with the service. Some staff members' English was poor, leading to communication misunderstandings (and I've studied English for many years and graduated with an English degree). The excessive debating in front of a customer also doesn't reflect good service. There were instances of discrimination and being forced into tipping. The entire service experience was very poor. The beach, however, is excellent, and the hotel's location is good."

"Tui Blue Bahari is 5*+ There is space, good food, great private beaches, 5 restaurants, friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. There were more sunbeds than guests when we stayed and towels are available poolside. There are bars in the garden, by the beach and at the pool, which are all manned with waiters and bar staff who are happy and efficient. The hotel has security and a private beach and the local tour sellers wait at the beach for you to engage. If you walk straight into the sea from the resort you'll find starfish, urchins and Dory fish. The room door we had wouldn't lock with a firm push and a couple times after the cleaners had been it was unlocked. Overall though 9.5/10 I'd recommend for any special occasion, or for those who want to safari in Tanzania, or swim with dolphins in Mnemba."

We were warmly greeted by the staff at the entrance. I had booked a deluxe room and had arrived early, would have appreciated an early checkin but the room wasn’t ready so meanwhile I explored the resort amenities. It has a private beach with a mini golf area and a bar alongside. The staff is friendly but most of the staff is new, a bit slow but they get you what you need. Maybe that’s how they’re wired, I’m unsure but they were kind. Pictures don’t do enough justice to this property. It’s massive, beautiful interiors with high end quality products. Loved the spa, felt so rejuvenated and I loved their bathing product line, the shower gels, etc. It’s ace quality. Food was good. They had live performance that got everyone on flood. It’s one of the best properties I’ve stayed at.

I would definitely choose this hotel again!! Perfect for all types of travellers!!

We were absolutely delighted with Kendwa Rocks Hotel! We stayed in a deluxe room, which was very comfortable, with a sea view from the balcony and a perfectly working air conditioner. The grounds are well-maintained, with many spots for photos. On the beach, there are plenty of sun loungers, and the relaxation area is guarded, so locals don't come too close. The sea is amazing, with easy entry into the water and lots of water activities. In the evenings, there's occasional entertainment, and on Saturdays, there's a beach party. There's also a swimming pool with a sea view, perfect for spending time during low tide. There are several bars and cafes on the property. The staff are very friendly and polite, always ready to help and advise. The only downside was the breakfast; there wasn't much variety, only a few options to choose from. We would have liked more choices. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel: Beautiful views and nice arquitecture. On our last day they let us do a free late check out and have dinner and stay at the hotel till 11pm which really shows that the hotel care about their guests. Food: The food is good. The cliff restaurant is very nice and with good dishes. Buffet is quite diverse and you have the BBQ night which is awesome. Something to improve: desserts. Service: All the staff is very nice and friendly. Pools: You have 3/4 different pools with 2 bars which is great to order some drinks. Room: big rooms and very spacious. Bed sheets, towels and matress are quite old. They need to be changed. Gym: Needs an improvement. To close it and are some fan/air conditioner. They should add some running and bike equipment. Beach: Beautiful beach with super crystal water. Something bad is the local people that wants to sell everything at all time. But I guess that is something normal in all Zanzibar. Score: 8,5/10
