"I loved it here! I was a single traveler, and this was by far the best stay of my 2 weeks in New Zealand. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and had a kitchenette. I tend to over do the adventure on my vacations, but this was my most chill morning on the trip. The staff is friendly, and as crazy as it sounds, the breakfast was worth it! I wish I could have stayed here on the return trip."

"The hotel reception is very detailed, the location is very convenient, and the scenery is beautiful.

"Had a lovely stay at Scenic Hotel Marlborough to end off our trip in New Zealand. The hotel room was much bigger than our previous hotel stays, where we could comfortably open both our large-sized luggage to repack. Apart from the spacious rooms, we love how clean the toilets were and how tidy our rooms are done up by room service each time we return from our day out. The stand out however, was the service provided to us by the staff. We arrived around midnight as we had a long drive from Fox Glacier to get here but the staff was ever ready to receive us, and even gave us recommendations on what to visit around Marlborough during our stay. During our stay, there were occasions where we opted to buy food back to enjoy in our hotel room and the room service was readily available to provide us whatever we needed to have a lovely meal in, including plates, wine glasses and even condiments. Highly recommended!!"

"I thought it was pretty good. I think I booked an executive room, which had a balcony and plenty of hot water in the shower. It's located on a section of the main street. There aren't many travel guides for Picton online, so I scouted it out for you. This motel is next to a gas station and across the street from a large supermarket. The room has a kitchen. It's a 10-minute walk to the Intercity bus station, which is next to the train and ferry terminals, so it's really close. Also, the beach is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There are various activities available for registration at the beach; you don't need to book online, just walk in and inquire—the price is the same. There's a Thai restaurant not far from the hotel. Picton is beautiful. We came here to take the train, and it's definitely worth it. This is a wine region; remember to buy a bottle and try it."

"Beautiful location overlooking the Marlborough Sounds, grassed area in front down to the sea. Short walk to beach and 10 minutes walk to marina where there is a very good pub with great food.
Very peaceful and lovely outside space to enjoy view and peace - very relaxing.

"Really great location! The pier is right outside, so it's a great choice if you want to go out to the sea or take a walk. The whole town is very quiet and very quiet all day long. The apartment is very large. It's especially suitable for a family trip."

"Take advantage of the extreme of motel, single-story guest rooms, the car parked at the main entrance, you can live immediately, there are large supermarkets and restaurants within 5-10 minutes. Generally speaking, it is the first choice for a one-night self-driving tour. The facilities and services are not the advantage of motel, but this one is also relatively comfortable. You can just buy some materials from the supermarket and simply cook. Please be reminded that it’s best not to cook Chinese food because the condiments should be prepared"

"The advantage is that it is very close to the train station and the pier, a few minutes walk; the second is cheap, the service staff is warm; suitable for non-self-driving backpackers. There are many shortcomings, the deluxe double room, said that there is a private bathroom, in fact, there is a public bathroom, and the washbasin is not much bigger than the palm; The room is basically not soundproof, and the sound of the corridor is clear; the so-called breakfast is a refrigerated bread, bake it yourself with butter jam, and then adjust the milk oats; Free parking is parked on the side of the road next to the street, not the road in front of the hotel. In fact, it is marked as a limit of 60 minutes. The hotel staff informed that there is someone in front of the door and no one in the street parking next to it."

Had a lovely stay at Scenic Hotel Marlborough to end off our trip in New Zealand. The hotel room was much bigger than our previous hotel stays, where we could comfortably open both our large-sized luggage to repack. Apart from the spacious rooms, we love how clean the toilets were and how tidy our rooms are done up by room service each time we return from our day out. An excellent boutique experience. Sennen House has a story to tell, and it’s a beautiful place to discover it. Set in a quiet location, its grounds are fantastic, utilising every piece of space cleverly; the welcoming croquet set was a taste of what was to come.
The room we stayed in was great. Nice views and good spaces. Having a separate living and dining area is always a bonus, but its well appointed kitchen with a coffee machine was an extra one! The little baking treats left each day were lovely touches and were enjoyed. It was lovely to organise and portion out our own breakfast each morning, and having ownership of this was a bonus.
If we are lucky enough to visit Picton again, we would definitely make this venue our first choice.

Privately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

The place is not far from the town centre, just around 20 mins walk. The reception is nice and welcoming. The room is spacious. It can be a bit cold at night but the heater works well. The room’s sound proof isn’t very great. I can hear people next door close and open their room door. The kitchen area is supposed to open at 7am, but it was not when I left at around 7:30am, so it’s worth double checking the time with the reception.

Great location near picton port . We Book a standard cabin . No kitchen or bathroom . Just a cabin with a bed . Just check twice before booking cause its not clear in description and pictures of the room are not good one. By the way common kitchen and shared bathroom was very clean. Staff nice also.

The room is large and can accommodate up to four people. It has a large balcony, where you can sit and watch the sea and mountains. The bathroom is clean, there is a refrigerator, safe, plates, knives and forks, and the bed is very comfortable. Picton is a small town, and all places are close to each other. There is a 4 square supermarket in the town.

There is no dissatisfaction, the room is clean and comfortable. Originally booked for 2 nights, but due to the weather the day before, the whale watching trip in kaikoura was postponed, canceled for one night, and the phone and hotel discussions were also very happy to promise to change one night.

The location of the motel is terrific. It’s on a tiny hill overlooking the harbour. If you are lucky and get the rooms upstairs, you really have a fantastic view day and night. The room itself is rather simple, but it does have a balcony with chairs and a table. Great for enjoying the view. But be prepared if you are driving there. The slope to the reception is steep and parking is very squeezy. Smaller cars would see an obvious advantage there.
