"My room wasn't huge, but it was very clean. The staff were excellent, and they offer a free airport shuttle service – just contact them in advance, and they'll be waiting for you at the exit with a sign with your name on it. It's also very close to the airport. The next day when I checked out, I didn't have a taxi app, so the staff helped me call a car and even exchanged 100 RMB for me to pay for the taxi. After the taxi arrived, the staff helped me with my luggage all the way to the car. Highly recommend!"

"The whole hotel system seems to be created with foreigners in mind. I stayed for 2 nights, while my family stayed for 3 nights. I originally booked the 2 nights through Trip.com. When I wanted to add an extra day, I was informed it was better to book it again online. At that time, I was in Nepal for 3 days and my phone was being repaired in Hong Kong, so I didn’t have access to my usual email or digital wallet. I had Nepali cash, but the payment system wouldn’t allow it, and I was denied the option to add more nights directly at the front desk. I tried booking again using my temporary phone, but the credit/card wouldn’t allow it—possibly because the phone and location were new and my digital wallet couldn’t be used. The only solution was asking a friend to book the additional night for me. This experience made me feel that the system is not friendly to Nepali guests and that they may strongly prefer online foreign-currency-style payment methods rather than Nepali rupees. I also tried to get the Nepali rate. It was around NPR 12,000–15,000, while the online rate was significantly cheaper. Based on the current currency conversion, the price difference felt like it could be about 3,000–5,000 rupees less online. This also made me feel they may not truly support Nepali pricing equally. The front desk staff were sometimes helpful, but they often didn’t seem genuine. Some staff seemed reluctant and not truly welcoming or happy to assist. In contrast, the only people who felt consistently happy to see me amd my family were the housekeeping staff and the guards. About the room it’s a bit small. I took a long warm shower, and after a while the water started leaking toward the bedroom corridor. However, there were also positives—despite being in Kathmandu, the tap had good water flow and the water color looked clear, not yellowish (and not as low-flow). Overall, the stay didn’t feel welcoming to me or my family. I’m not sure if this is because the system is designed not to cater well to Nepali guests, or simply because the staff attitude was “blah.” Would I stay again? It feels like 50–50. My honest advice is: if you’re not Nepali, you will love it. But if you are Nepali and want to feel genuinely welcomed, you should think carefully—because you could spend the same amount or much more less at a family-owned business and likely feel much more respected and welcomed."

"Stayed for a week, had no problems. Beautiful hotel, rare green site in Tamel, air conditioner, hot water, Wi-fi and the lights are on even during blackouts, wonderful helpful staff who all speak good English. Could use a dehumidifier during monsoon season, but all in all the best hotel in the area for miles👍"

"The hotel is very quiet. The air conditioning worked well, and the room temperature was comfortable. There were no gnats or mosquitoes. The plumbing fixtures were new. Thorough cleaning was provided promptly at the push of a button. In the courtyard, you can admire the beautiful landscape design. For breakfast, the restaurant offers Indian, Continental, or American options, and you can also order additional dishes. The interior of the restaurant is adorned with a large panel depicting a view of old Patan Square. Two bottles of water were provided in the room. Durbar Square is within walking distance. The staff is very polite and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and comfortable stay in the center of Kathmandu."

"The rooms are this hotel are very nice. The location is perfect. The service levels are very high. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Monika and Besang in the restaurant, Sita and Binita for the cleaning service, and all the security staff. Overall, our stay here was very good. The breakfast is very good, with a nice variety. If I could suggest some improvements, it would be fresh pastries for breakfast and maybe some alternatives to cows milk such as oat or almond milk. The other thing is, the gym needs a total refresh. I recommend staying here. It is a very good offer overall. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay."

"I chose to stay here again after my trek because my first stay before the trek was so comfortable. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and the hotel environment is peaceful, unlike the noisy Thamel area. The staff's service made me feel genuinely warm and welcomed; they even proactively helped me communicate with the local driver when I was getting a taxi. I'd love to book this place again next time I'm in Nepal."

"The staff is very courteous and good. The services are also very good. Have given 3 stars due as the tv was not functional for almost one and a half day in 2 says stay. Moreover the amenities in the rooms were to be requested at times on couple of times. The location is main market and not recommended for those looking for peaceful stay as the market is open 24 hrs."

"A great hotel located in the Tamel area. The rooms are clean, the room is all available for comfortable accommodation. Breakfast on the Swedish table system, but the staff at breakfast didn't cope and didn't manage to bring food, often there was no food, had to wait or say it was over. And on the respiratory not very welcoming staff. Otherwise everything is good."

"I stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good."
