"Though the hotel is near the Metro train station but the overall surroundings at the hotel wasn't what we expected. There were many constructions going on next to the hotel which makes the area seem dangerous to walk by. The room was smaller than we expected but we were told we could upgrade to a bigger room for additional Euro 50 per day which we didn't take up. Overall was ok stay."

"Even though I booked the hotel room, it was for my daughter and her best friend to explore Amsterdam.
Both were very happy and satisfied with the stay. The room was very small but cosy and sufficient for a stay when you want to go out and explore the town anyways.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods.
The staff was very friendly, nice and funny and spoke English.
Concerning the location of the hotel, the rooms were quiet (no traffic noise), and there were stores nearby, a Lidl supermarket. The hotel can be reached by tram and to the center of town it takes maybe 20 minutes (estimated by my daughter).
We are planning another trip to Amsterdam already by the end of the year and will choose the Citiez Hotel for our stay for sure!"

"Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel was quite disappointing .
The first issue happened when I arrived for check-in. I was told at the counter that check-in was only available after 3pm, so I left my luggage with the hotel and informed the staff that I would return at night to check in.
However, when I returned at night, the main entrance door was already closed for security reasons. I was completely blocked outside because no one had informed me that the main entrance would be locked after a certain time, and that guests could only enter through another door by tapping their room card.
The problem was that I had not checked in yet, so I obviously did not have a room card.
There was a machine outside to contact the front desk, but no one responded when I tried to use it. I had to figure out how to get into the building myself, which was extremely frustrating, especially after travelling and arriving at night.
The second issue was when I checked out in the morning and wanted to store my luggage. I was then told that luggage storage would cost $5.30. I found this quite surprising, as I had not been informed about the charge beforehand. Since I had plans, I have no choice to paid for it ."

"I stayed here for my birthday and had the most amazing time. The massage was absolutely mind-blowing and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Breakfast was great with plenty of options, and the location was perfect – there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you straight into the city centre, making it so easy to get around. The rooms were spotless with a beautiful view, and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. It made my birthday feel really special and I would definitely stay here again"

"2 nights were stayed, and the first night was a party below which was unsleep until midnight. We had a room at the first floor, which is not recommended if a party is celebrated below, The room was clean and the bathroom was well. The breakfast was good, with fruit, bread, egg and spice, and a sort of cheese, sauce and so on."

"It was my first ever stay with any Ibis hotel. There is a free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel which is convenient. They say that check in is available after 15:00 but they let us use the room before 14.:00. The room was good but the central AC was not working there so we upgraded the room in €15 for two nights to their AC room. Although they do mention at the booking that the room will have AC/heating. But the system was not working as they said due to repair so for our ease we upgraded our room. They did offer a great price for an upgrade which is good. I enjoyed their breakfast as well which was fresh and tasty. The cleanliness of the place was amazing and we had a really good sleep."

julietThe hotel is pretty good, clean and tidy. It's across from a park, but the location is a bit out of the way, and the bed was too small. The breakfast was plentiful, and dinner was delicious. The front desk staff were professional, and you can always count on a big brand. 😊

Airborn63The good thing is price and if you just want a place to sleep it is fine as long as you don't have much luggage.
Shower, toilet, bed and free WiFi is what you get, if like me you work till 23.00 and leave at 8:00 it works fine if there is two and/or you have luggage perhaps not. It is basically an excess office where a 100sqm office has been transferred into 10 sleep capsules of which two have a window.
Cleaning was so so, I really did not need to find a used earplug in the bed.
The location is near the university nearest tram to Amsterdam about 10 to 15 minute walk.
Price is fine as long as you don't expect much.

In the kitchen it was tea and coffee, soap for washing the dishes, sponge. Fridge, microwave.
No hairdryer.
The floor was not clean.

marcryuOverall experience was great, one of the late morning check-in male staff was really welcoming and even upgraded me to a higher floor with a fantastic view of the river. But since the checkin is 3pm, when I got back, another burlier guy got us our keys but was way too serious and sombre. It's fine but a smile would go a long way. One tiny irk was the lack of bedroom slippers in a carpeted room. I feel it should be basic. And this is the one time I didn't bring a just-in-case pair and i was caught out. Anyway, location is good, tram connection to the Centraal Station just across the street or a 10min walk.

Guest UserI used this hotel on the day I arrived at the airport. The free shuttle from the airport was extremely convenient. You just need to board the bus with its name displayed. It departs every 30 minutes. The room was clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly.

Hotel was comfortable and good for our overnight stay before an early flight. Used the shuttle bus for the next day which was good. Seems quite far away from the actual airport but all in all a good hotel experience.

Guest UserThis is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.

Guest UserRoom is a bit small and shower doesn’t have the curtain so it’s all wet after the shower. Bed is very comfortable. No kettle, tea or coffee. But the location, I’d stay there again.

AlannuoThis is a great hotel – clean, new, and minimalist. It's conveniently located, and our room, facing the inner lawn, was very quiet. It's near a business school. The price itself isn't high, but the taxes are. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there's a supermarket nearby.
I was deciding between a hotel near the central station and this one, and choosing here was definitely the right decision. It's just a few minutes from the train station, and the walk is safe.
On a side note, there's a brunch restaurant near the train station that's supposedly very popular, but it wasn't good!
I forgot to take pictures of the room, but the lobby is stylish.
