"The room isn't huge, but it was perfect for two people. When I checked in, I asked for a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hotel having a gym and a swimming pool is a huge plus! It's super convenient with a mall next door, and it was so easy to visit all the nearby attractions and try out local food spots – everything was about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to the airport takes about 30 minutes if there's no traffic. I highly recommend this place! There are water dispensers on every floor, which is great for refilling bottles. The bed isn't huge, but it's comfortable enough to sleep on. If I come back to Penang, I'd definitely choose to stay here again."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's within walking distance to the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, City Hall, and the waterfront. You can also walk to the tourist area's mural streets and the Peranakan Museum. The cleanliness and service are both above average. Although the breakfast offers a good variety, the taste is just okay, but it was still the most palatable among the three hotels I stayed at this trip. They offer congee and pickled vegetables. The hotel provides large umbrellas for guests to borrow. However, it's really not necessary as rain in Penang usually comes in short bursts, so there's no need for such a big umbrella. The room is old, and the bathroom leaks, as shown in the picture. I wouldn't recommend booking breakfast at any hotel in Malaysia. Breakfast at local restaurants is much cheaper and tastier. The only thing you'll need to worry about in Penang is your appetite being too small!"

"This hotel is great, and I'd definitely stay here again if I visit Penang in the future. You can walk to most of Penang's must-see attractions within about 10 minutes. It's right next to Parkson department store, and there are plenty of dining options downstairs. Plus, it's a short walk to the Street Art and Chulia Street Night Market. Getting to Penang Airport by taxi takes around 35 minutes. It offers excellent value for money, and the staff are very friendly."

"This was the hotel where we stayed the longest during our trip. **Amenities:** The facilities and layout are all very new. The balcony directly faces the sea, and the large and small beds are perfect for a family of three. All the disposable toiletries are well-stocked, and there are plenty of hangers. **Cleanliness:** My overall impression is that it was very clean. Everything looked neatly arranged at first glance, and there was no dust. **Environment:** The hotel lobby, restaurant, swimming pool, bar, beach, and gym basically offer a lot of entertainment. Facing the sea, the scenery is absolutely stunning. **Service:** Communication is available in English and Chinese, and all the staff are very enthusiastic."

"We were a family of five, including two adults, two elderly family members, and a 4-year-old boy, and stayed at JEN Penang for two nights. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with shopping malls and many well-known local restaurants within a 5 to 10-minute walking distance. However, due to Penang's hot and humid weather, I would not recommend walking outdoors between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a reasonable variety of options and was sufficient for a pleasant start to the day. The hotel has a swimming pool, although it is relatively small. One side of the pool, which accounts for about one-third of its size, has a depth of 2 metres. As a result, the usable space for younger swimmers is somewhat limited, and the pool can feel crowded during the afternoon. There is also a separate children's pool, which is suitable for toddlers aged around 2 to 3 years old. While the hotel generally met our expectations, it does feel a little dated in some areas. We also encountered some cleanliness issues in our bathroom, which was disappointing and not quite what we expected from a property under the Shangri-La Group. In addition, it would be a nice touch if children's amenities could be provided proactively at check-in for families travelling with young children, rather than requiring guests to request them separately. Overall, the hotel's excellent location, friendly service, and family-friendly facilities make it a good choice for exploring George Town and Penang. With some improvements to housekeeping standards and family amenities, the guest experience could be even better."

"The room was comfortable and well-sized, and the extra bed service was very professional. I arrived late, so I emailed ahead of time, and check-in was incredibly smooth. The biggest plus is its proximity to the airport, making it perfect for catching some sleep after a red-eye flight. After my whole trip in Malaysia, I realized this hotel offered one of the best lodging experiences. I really liked the decor. You barely hear any airplane noise at night."
