"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves.
The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days.
I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars?
The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment.
Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."

"I actually found this hotel through recommendations on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform).
I saw the hotel offered a shuttle service and thought it might be a bit far from the station, but it's actually very close, just a few minutes' ride.
Secondly, the hotel service was excellent! I have to give them a special shout-out for this. When my friend and I checked in, we had just come from the beach and still had sand on our feet. They immediately provided us with wet and dry towels to clean ourselves.
On the second day, my friend and I were in a hurry to check out at 12 PM. After reaching the tram station, we realized we had left some things at the hotel. We called them to help us find them and asked them not to throw them away. We were planning to go back to the hotel ourselves to pick them up, but to our surprise, they drove them over to us directly! What's more, they initially said they couldn't find the items, but after finding them later, they made another trip to deliver them!
Additionally, the view from the room was fantastic, and so was the private onsen! My friend and I went to the hot spring on the first basement floor. It was very smart; once we locked the door, a webpage showed that it was occupied. There's a smaller indoor onsen and a larger outdoor one. You can see the stars at night while soaking, with a refreshing cool breeze blowing. The air in Izu is also very fresh. All in all, we were very satisfied with the soak!
This time, we only got to experience the hot spring on the first basement floor. I'll definitely come back next time to try the private onsen and the other hot spring too!

The room was clean, but not the corner room in the picture, there was no window behind the bed, but there was a long bathtub as shown in the picture
Kimono available at check-in. Room has another set of pajamas and bathrobes.
One berth and two meals, the Australian and cattle at the dinner buffet are good, but the beef roasted by Shouxi is like sukiya quality, which is a pity. The buffet ramen is good and delicious, the sashimi, the salad bar is medium and upper, the desserts and fried things are average. Spring strawberry festival is a bit of a play, only strawberry roll cake, strawberry cheese cake and ice cream xd (cheese ice cream is delicious)
Breakfast is normal ～ medium and upper, delicious but don't expect too much, scrambled eggs are good, accidentally found that the garlic chili oil in the peach house is delicious, slightly spicy but fragrant, regret not buying a few bottles in Japan!

"This was definitely my favorite hotel on this Izu trip! The value for money was exceptional, the views were great, and both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared. I saw some average reviews, but I actually found it to be quite good. My only minor complaint would be the limited shuttle service. In the morning, there are only shuttles at 9:20, 9:50, and a bit after 10:00. I arrived at 11:00 and had to make my own way to the hotel, which was a bit far, but the walk wasn't difficult and was actually quite pleasant. For your second day, I'd highly recommend catching the 9:20 shuttle to make the 9:37 Black Ship cruise to Shimoda!"

"The staff were patient and meticulous, and they even offered service in Chinese, which was a great bonus. The room was spacious and bright, giving a wonderful sense of openness and making for a very comfortable stay. Considering the price, the value for money is outstanding, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. "This stay at inatori got to be one of the best decisions made. The room came with an absolutely stunning sea view which made this trip from the bustling city worth it!! You need to add the breakfast and dinner to your package too because the food served are top quality and so so delicious. We ate till we were stuffed every single night!! There’s no other hotel that come close to this amazing experience we had here. We also enjoyed the private onsen which can be booked by paying +$$
As the place is very much catered to local tourists, most of the menu, instructions are in Japanese, so just use your translator app if you have any questions! They do have staff who can speak English / mandarin!"

"We were very satisfied with both the room and the service. I highly recommend booking a package that includes both breakfast and dinner to experience the full Japanese service. (You might be able to get the key a bit earlier depending on availability.) The cost is about 1680 JPY, which is quite reasonable. It is located not really close to the Shin-Shizuoka Shizuoka station, yet both are in the walking distance. Neighbourhood is not busy or crowded. Bath and toilet are good and the shower especially has a strong water pressure.
The room is extremely small; apart from the bed, there are almost no other spaces left. This can make the room less cosy if a customer expects different indoor activities or the room size. Yet for the budget travellers who only sleeps in the bed and do nothing else, this hotel can be a good choice."

”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions.
The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families.
It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful.
When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹
In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍

Our stay at Yokikan was simply wonderful. The Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable, and sleeping on the futons was surprisingly restful. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent - the kaiseki meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
The highlight was definitely the bathing complex. The indoor baths and the open-air onsen at the top, reached by the hotel's unique mountain funicular, were nice. Soaking in the hot water while enjoying the panoramic views was pure bliss. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would love to return.

The location right in front of the sea offered absolutely fantastic views.
However, there were some signs of deterioration, such as doors that wouldn't close due to rust and areas where the concrete was peeling off, which was a bit worrying.
The food and service were excellent, so the facilities were the only slight disappointment.

Location: It's quite far from Atami Station, and there are uphill and downhill slopes, plus stairs, which are extremely tiring when dragging luggage. There are many hotels along the way, and this one is a bit far from the beach as well. If you're considering coming, I'd recommend staying at La Vista, which is right across from the beach and just a few steps away. This hotel is also far from Kinomiya Station, and the uphill/downhill walks are exhausting. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to Kinomiya Shrine.
The hotel's Wi-Fi signal is extremely poor, I'm genuinely fed up. I won't be staying here again.

The main advantages are the incredible seclusion, the amazing surrounding nature, and the captivating beautiful view that you can admire endlessly, plus excellent transfer service. The room is simply stunning: stylish, cozy, and impeccably clean. The local onsen is a special treat; bathing in it is wonderfully relaxing and brings a sense of complete tranquility. The culinary experience deserves the highest praise. The wonderful dinner in traditional Japanese style was a true gastronomic discovery, and breakfast was very tasty and filling. Huge thanks to all the staff for their very polite, attentive, and warm hospitality. We loved everything and didn't want to leave. We will definitely come back here again! Thank you!

The hotel is located on a hill, but there's a shuttle bus service to and from Shimoda Station. It's not very convenient for buying food, so you'll likely need to dine at the hotel for all three meals. On the plus side, the hotel's food quality is excellent, with great ingredients and presentation! The hotel also offers convenient access to various beaches.

KobakouA hotel full of Showa-era retro charm. The building and rooms are undeniably old, but I had no complaints. The food was average; those who eat a lot or children would probably be satisfied. The Roman bath, which is a big selling point, was spacious, and while there were quite a few people, it didn't bother me. If you can stay at a good price using coupons or similar, I'd consider visiting again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ittouan. The experience was exceptional from beginning to end.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They noticed us from far away and immediately came to help carry our luggage. One of the staff members, a lovely young lady who spoke excellent English, was especially helpful and made communication very easy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but I would like to thank her again.
We booked both dinner and breakfast, and the meals were fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh and the variety was impressive. Every dish was different and beautifully prepared. However, for two women like us, the portions were honestly quite generous — even sharing one meal between two people might have been enough!
The location is excellent. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Kawazu Station, which makes it extremely convenient for visiting the Kawazu cherry blossoms. It is also very close to the beautiful coastline, so the surroundings are lovely.
Our room had a private onsen bath where we could soak while enjoying the view of cherry blossoms, which was a truly special experience. There is also a larger private bath available by reservation (free of charge). We also tried the hot stone spa, which was incredibly effective in relieving the fatigue after my marathon.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I would love to come back again in the future, hopefully with my family.

到着したとき、スタッフの皆さまは遠くから私たちに気づいてくださり、すぐに荷物を運ぶのを手伝ってくださいました。その心遣いにとても感動しました。特に英語がとても上手な可愛らしい女性スタッフの方がいらっしゃって、丁寧に対応してくださり安心して滞在することができました。残念ながらお名前を伺うのを忘れてしまいましたが、この場を借りて改めて感謝をお伝えしたいです。
夕食と朝食の両方をお願いしましたが、お料理はどれも本当に素晴らしかったです。食材はとても新鮮で、品数も多く、一つ一つ丁寧に作られているのが伝わってきました。すべて違う料理で楽しませていただきました。ただ、私たち二人（女性）には少し量が多く、とても贅沢なボリュームでした。
立地もとても良く、河津駅まで無料の送迎があるので河津桜を見に行くのにもとても便利でした。また、美しい海岸も近く、散歩するだけでもとても気持ちの良い場所でした。
お部屋の温泉では桜を眺めながらゆっくり入ることができ、とても特別な時間を過ごすことができました。また、無料で予約できる貸切風呂もあり、温泉を存分に楽しめました。さらにホットストーンスパも利用しましたが、マラソンを走った後の疲れが本当に和らぎ、とてもリラックスできました。
スタッフの皆さまの温かいおもてなしのおかげで、忘れられない滞在になりました。ぜひまた家族と一緒に訪れたいと思います。本当にありがとうございました。

The hotel was very clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. The hot springs were also wonderful, probably because it was a weekday and not crowded. I highly recommend getting the dinner plan. For breakfast, we were able to have it in our room, which allowed for a very relaxed start to the day.
As other reviewers mentioned, the坂道 (steep hill) up to the hotel was quite something. We went by car, and at one point, we encountered another car coming down in a curving tunnel. Since uphill traffic has priority, the other car had to back up the hill to let us pass. After arriving, we enjoyed walking to the shopping street in front of the station, but on the way back to the hotel, we took a taxi from the station. Even the taxi driver radioed ahead to another taxi waiting at the top of the hill to hold their position before starting the ascent. It would be great if there were traffic lights at the top and bottom. There aren't many cars coming and going, so we just hoped there wouldn't be any oncoming traffic on our way back.
