"This hotel is very suitable for vacation and leisure. It is located in a forest. The front desk drove a golf cart to deliver our luggage to the door of the room. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Egilsstadt. The breakfast is average with few options. The dinner is okay, but the steak is too old. The chef came out to greet us personally and replaced it with cod according to our request."

"Centrally located close to domestic airport, gas station and supermarket. Hotel appears to be converted from an old building but is nicely maintained with a charming lobby. Room size is bigger than other Iceland hotels. Shower is only separated from toilet by a shower curtain, so bathroom would get a bit wet but not a big issue. Both dinner and breakfast are good. Better reserve for dinner as it gets busy. O sure washing machine is handy, although may need to wait a bit as there is only one machine. Staff are generally helpful. Overall a pleasant stay."

"Beautiful crying cabin! The positioning on xc was not right. At that time, the car navigation used to find the approximate direction and then drove forward for a while to find it. The wooden smell of the room is a bit heavy, the water is a bit slow, and the others are perfect. And there are two bedrooms that can actually sleep 3~4 people like this. The kitchen utensils are very complete, the heating is also very sufficient, and the sunset is beautiful! ! !"

Breakfast was excellent! Hot food along with homemade breads. It was the best breakfast I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. Location is an hour drive from Egilsstaðir via some mountain pass, gravel roads and along the coast road. The views are breathtaking. But it’s a small town and if you don’t intend to hike around the area then it might not be worth spending so much time getting to and fro your accommodation."

Beachfront resort but I only got a skylight. Even the bathroom had a better view. The room had 2 beds but linens were removed for one since I was a solo traveler and only 1 towel was provided. Wasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!

What an amazing place to stay! It feels like you’re in the wilderness but it’s a peaceful, high quality hotel (we stayed in a hotel room) with tasty, locally farmed, Icelandic food on the restaurant menu and a very good breakfast included on our hotel booking. The staff were so friendly and helpful - and there are 2 dogs, a friendly reindeer called Toby, an arctic fox, goats and sheep wandering around. In fact the dogs escorted me on my walk to a lake which made my day. To top it all we saw a stunning northern lights display and the sky was perfectly clear. A fabulous place !

The room was a bit small for my family of three. But the bathroom is very spacious. Room is also clean. Room does not have a kettle but there is a common pantry which was useful. The main issue was check in because the check in was not actually at hotel post itself but at the other hotel next door and instructions were not clearly given. We panicked a bit initially because we reached quite late and could not find a way to get into hotel post. Luckily we managed to call the hotel and was told that check in is in the other building.

This stay was truly excellent! The guesthouse was very comfortable overall, with a large kitchen equipped with new and complete appliances that were very convenient to use. The rooms were also spacious, and the overall environment was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay.
Furthermore, the location is fantastic; if you're lucky, you might even see the Northern Lights, making this stay even more special!
The only minor suggestion is that it would be more convenient if the check-in process or contact information were clearly provided beforehand. We waited a little while after arriving and were able to contact someone before successfully checking in. However, overall, this didn't affect our positive impression of the guesthouse at all, and we highly recommend it!

Behind the blue church, there are cool loft beds, but the room is on the third floor and there is no elevator.
The room space is OK, there is no wardrobe for hanging clothes, only a few hangers, and the mirror in the toilet is not very friendly to the short Asians (like me)
Because it is off-season, the whole town is super quiet and there are not many choices for eating. In addition, the owner of this hotel has several buildings in this town, don't go wrong
