"A very special stay experience, it is a real medieval castle, and the choice is one of the only few rooms in the castle Josephine suite, especially like the medieval windows in the room, the photos are very good. The dinner and breakfast experience was great, the overall price/performance ratio was OK, the night was very quiet and there was almost no light pollution, and you could see the wonderful stars. The most recommended is the castle tour, there is a dedicated staff who will take you to visit the entire castle and climb to the top, the scenery is unique. There are peacocks in the yard 🦚 If you want to experience a unique castle stay, it is highly recommended."

"Really cozy farmhouse stay! Very secluded at the end of a farm road! Hosts were really amazing and took really good care of guests and their property too! The room is very “farm” traditional with clean and comfortable linens. The only downside to me were the bed is too small (I am actually tall and same with my wife), and there’s no blackout curtains. 4:30 am everything was bright! Nothing that takes away the beauty of the property and the amazing feeling of being welcomed in a true working farm with excellent hosts."

"I stayed in the Zara room on the ground floor of the Farm Cottage, and it was absolutely beautiful. The room was decorated so thoughtfully and was equipped with everything I could have needed, including robes, a selection of teas and coffees, and biscuits. The bathroom was equally stunning, with a lovely freestanding bath and a separate waterfall shower. The White Company toiletries were a really luxurious touch, and the room itself smelt beautiful from the moment I walked in. I also loved having a Smart TV in the room, which meant I could relax and watch Netflix during my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the duvet was so lovely and plush. I genuinely had one of the best nights’ sleeps I’ve had in a long time. Whilst I didn’t dine in the restaurant for my evening meal, breakfast was included with my stay, so I visited the restaurant the following morning. I enjoyed a teapot of tea and the pancakes with fresh fruit and Chantilly cream, which were lovely. The staff in both reception and the restaurant were polite, friendly and attentive throughout my stay. There was also plenty of on site parking very close to reception, which was really convenient. The grounds were beautiful and clearly very well looked after, and it was lovely seeing the horses in the nearby field too. Everything felt so well thought out, luxurious and welcoming. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely love to return!"

"purdy is really a simple business hotel with greaty parling along the hihway clean efiicient. location wise it is excellent , near to Holy island newcaslte alnwick, berkwick and bamburg. there is a petrol station nearby. the rooms are clean washrooms are good , functioning. the surprise is the staff and the care and restaurant adjoining which are so good. food is fantastic . during dinner the fish and chips was amazing as is the pork belly. Breakfast was amazing. i would stay here again if i m going to this area. wonderful . quiet at night . beautiful big windows that overlooks the wavy windy grasslands. lovely stay"

"We stayed last week for 3 nights - bed breakfast and evening meal. We had a sea view room with balcony. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite & welcoming. The food was top quality - highlights were the hot, freshly cooked buffet breakfast, big fresh croissants and one of the best currys we've ever had (chicken narpiaza). The room was modern, well furnished, clean and very warm (appreciated considering it was freezing outside). The shower temperature could be a bit variable but the power was good. We sometimes got in the pub carpark, sometimes had to use the public one, but at just over a fiver for 24 hours and being just across the road, it wasn't a concern. Highly recommended. "
