"This is an older hotel that's been renovated, and while the bedding was decent, everything else was really... quite old and a bit dirty. The shower pressure was extremely low, which made for an uncomfortable experience. The staff, who were all a bit older, were actually very good – warm, welcoming, and polite.
As for the complimentary shows, popcorn, and such, you can pretty much ignore them. They were almost nonexistent, just a gimmick. Someone would just sit there, play some music, and lip-sync for a bit, which was quite funny.
The best thing about it is the location. Xishi Market is right downstairs, which is very convenient. It's also not far from the famous '网红墙' (influencer wall), so we could easily stroll back after dinner."

"This was my first time visiting Changbaishan. While the outdoor temperature was well below freezing, the indoor environment was extremely warm and cozy. The room features plenty of wooden furniture, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The bed was exceptionally soft, providing me with a fantastic sleeping experience.
The floors were smooth and comfortable to walk on barefoot, and I didn't find any dust on surfaces I touched. The bathroom was spotless, with no neglected corners or limescale buildup.
I had been in touch with the hotel butler before arriving; they provided detailed information about the opening hours of the facilities and the shuttle options for each attraction we planned to visit. As a result, our itinerary went smoothly without any hassle.
The hotel has a great variety of hot spring pools. Since it wasn't crowded during our visit, we didn't have to rub shoulders with other guests and could truly relax and enjoy the hot springs. By the way, compared to five-star hotels in downtown Shanghai, the food here—both in terms of taste and value for money—was actually enjoyable and made you want to sit down and relish a meal. This is quite rare and commendable for a hotel located inside a scenic area."

"One of the highlights of my National Day trip to Changbai Mountain this year was staying at the Jinhua Hotel! During my stay, I was incredibly well taken care of by our butler, Tutu, every day. It truly felt like a home away from home. Before my arrival, Tutu held a room for me as I was arriving late and even upgraded me to an executive breakfast. On the day I checked in, they brought me some snacks, and on my birthday, they surprised me with a cake. The night before I left, I received a Proya skincare set. I was traveling alone, but it felt like I was surrounded by familiar warmth. A huge thank you again to Tutu! It's rare to find a hotel with such attentive and heartwarming staff; this alone makes it stand out from other hotels.
The hotel's environment is also notably convenient and elegant. It's right next to the only snack street and entertainment area in Wanda Resort, making dining, drinking, and entertainment incredibly easy. Especially in the evening, when the ambient lights come on, it feels like stepping into a dreamy fairy tale. It's bustling yet peaceful, with unique and beautiful scenery.
It's a shame that the long holiday flew by so quickly. I was truly sad to leave and plan to come back for a spring or winter holiday. I'll definitely stay here again, and I wish Butler Tutu all the best in their career and happiness every day!"

"Traveling to Jilin with two kids, we chose the World Trade Markham Hotel, and overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is right by the Songhua River, and opening the window in our high-floor room offered a magnificent river view – the kids were absolutely thrilled looking out. The room was spacious, the bedding comfortable, and they even provided children's slippers, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast had a rich variety of options, including many that the kids enjoyed. The heated swimming pool was the biggest surprise; after a day of sightseeing, taking the kids for a swim helped us relax and shake off the travel fatigue. The location is convenient for getting around and dining. The service was prompt and responsive. Staying here with two kids was stress-free and comfortable, making it perfect for a family trip."

"This hotel boasts a prime downtown location with dedicated parking, which is very convenient. The rooms are fully equipped, and the hotel also offers a laundry room and a gym. Although the hotel is a bit older, it is very well maintained. The Hyatt boasts a prime location in the Wanda resort area—just step outside and you're right on Food Street, which is super convenient.
There are plenty of activities available too. Even though the main Changbaishan scenic area was closed due to the weather, staying at the hotel for two days was far from boring. The autumn scenery at the hotel's back mountain, the birch forest, and Lake Fokulun was breathtaking. It wasn't crowded during the National Day holiday either, making for a fantastic getaway experience."

"For my trip to Yanji, I chose to stay at the Huayi Kairuos Hotel for two nights, and my overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I really have to commend their attention to detail when it comes to service.
As soon as we arrived at the hotel entrance, a bellhop quickly came over, proactively took our luggage, and guided us to the front desk for check-in. He also thoughtfully pointed out the electric car charging stations by the entrance, mentioning that if we were driving, we could park directly in their exclusive parking spots, saving us the trouble of finding one ourselves. The front desk attendant who checked us in was exceptionally warm and enthusiastic. After verifying our information, she specifically told us that the panoramic French windows of our Deluxe Family Room overlooked the Yanji River, offering a fantastic view. She also handed us a pre-prepared local sightseeing card, which marked out walking routes to popular spots like the Yanbian University internet-famous wall, the West Market, and the Water Market. She even circled the most authentic ginseng chicken soup restaurant nearby for us.
During our stay, one evening we returned to the hotel quite late after exploring. A bellhop, seeing us carrying bags full of Yanji local specialties, immediately came forward to help us with them. He accompanied us all the way to our room door and even reminded us that if the sensor lights in the hallway weren't bright enough at night, we could call the front desk anytime. The next day, when we were heading out for a walk in People's Park, a young lady at the front desk saw that we had an elderly person with us. She proactively offered us two complimentary bottles of mineral water and told us the closest entrance to the park, as well as where to find fewer stairs for an easier walk.
The panoramic breakfast experience on the 24th floor was also excellent. The local specialties like Tteok (rice cakes), cold noodles, and kimchi were all authentic. From a window seat, you could directly overlook the entire city night view of Yanji and the sunrise in the morning. The super-sized bathtub in the room was incredibly relaxing after a day of activities. The panoramic French windows offered views of the Yanji River, and our child had a blast playing in the tatami area.
The most pleasant surprise was on the day we checked out. We had so much luggage that we couldn't carry it all ourselves. The bell staff were already waiting in the lobby to help us load it into the car. The front desk even specially gave us two small bags of local Korean ethnic minority snacks, suggesting we could eat them if we got hungry on the road. From the moment we entered until we left, the enthusiasm of every staff member felt genuine, not just a perfunctory politeness. They truly put the guests' needs first. If you're visiting Yanji and want a hassle-free and comfortable stay, choosing this hotel is definitely a safe bet. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Yanji."

"After our trip from Changbai Mountain, I contacted the hotel, and Lindy and Crystal were professional, efficient, and patient throughout. We booked a family room, which was spacious. The tent, rocking horse, and other arrangements for the kids were very thoughtful, and our child had a blast as soon as we entered the room. The hotel also provided children's slippers and bathrobes, showing great attention to detail. As night fell, back at the hotel, our child also had a wonderful time at the kids' club and the pool. We'll definitely come back to Shangri-La next time we visit with our little one!"

I chose this hotel because it's pet-friendly. It's very new and exceptionally clean, even cleaner than some non-pet-friendly hotels. You'll see lots of dogs around! The breakfast area isn't huge, but everything is delicious and has its own unique touch, like homemade yogurt and chocolate spread for toast, which the kids absolutely loved. Despite many dogs staying, you don't have to worry about a bad night's sleep; the hotel has good soundproofing, and all the guests are very considerate and don't disturb each other.

Guest UserMy overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient access to transportation. The room was spacious, bright, and very clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The temperature and humidity inside were just right. The facilities were comprehensive; a soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing and helped ease the fatigue after hiking. The service was meticulous, thoughtful, and prompt. I had a very pleasant stay throughout my trip and would give it five stars. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Changbai Mountain. The service was very attentive, and they even gave me a small gift.

Guest UserAn older, upscale hotel with facilities and a layout that were top-notch in its time. While the hotel may be older, the service is still excellent! I really liked the butler online service; it's a much better experience than a budget hotel. Our family of three had a very spacious and comfortable stay! It's dry in Changbai Mountain this season, and they thoughtfully provided plenty of water! We really needed it! I haven't drunk this much water in a long time!

PupulanThis is an excellent hotel with incredibly warm and attentive service!
Firstly, it's the closest hotel to the old mountain gate, just a 2-minute walk away, so we didn't have to queue at all during the National Day holiday.
Secondly, they offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off throughout our stay, and can also take us to nearby attractions.
Thirdly, the breakfast was amazing! The restaurant staff were very enthusiastic and proactively asked if we needed anything. The ginseng chicken soup, noodles, dumplings, and wontons were all delicious and plentiful, perfect for us southerners.
Fourthly, a dedicated butler was provided. Butler Li Chao was incredibly responsible and always ready to help with anything.
Fifthly, all the front desk staff were wonderful. They helped with our luggage and reservations, and the service was exceptional. They even upgraded us to a family room when they saw I was traveling with two elderly family members, which I really appreciate.
Sixthly, the hot springs were superb, and we could book them anytime.
Seventhly, there's a food court right next door, making dining very convenient. The stone pot bibimbap, stir-fried pork with kimchi, and BBQ were all delicious.
Eighthly, the hotel provided complimentary access to the Volcanic Stone Forest attraction, river trekking, and ginseng digging, all of which were a lot of fun and suitable for the whole family.
My family had a fantastic time, and we'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Changbai Mountain.

suky1999I chose this hotel after a long search for my marathon trip to Jilin. Although it's a bit far from the city center, thankfully there's a shuttle bus, and the hotel even offers breakfast to go. The room wasn't huge, but the facilities were quite good. The only downside was that the bathroom in the river-view room also had a window, and the glass door let in too much light, waking me up bright and early in the morning...

He was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and taking care of every detail – a huge thank you to him! Also, the young lady at the front desk on the night shift on the 19th was very enthusiastic. However, I have to complain about the Chinese restaurant. My dad took my child there and ordered black truffle fried rice and stir-fried beef. I don't know if it was because they ordered too little, but the food never came. When they asked a female server about it, her attitude was extremely dismissive, just saying, ”Just wait!” I'm not sure if she wasn't properly trained or if she was just being selective with customers. Later, they asked a manager, who also couldn't give a definitive answer. In the end, they just ordered takeout to the room. Besides this one issue, everything else was great.

DanrankanshiThe hotel is right by a forest, so the air is super fresh. It's just a few minutes' drive from the North Gate of Changbai Mountain Scenic Area. They even have a dedicated shuttle service to the scenic area, which is really convenient. Everyone at the hotel, from the owner to the staff, is very welcoming and helpful. Especially the big brother who drove us to the scenic area – he kept reminding us about safety precautions for Changbai Mountain on the way, which was very thoughtful! 👍

LuobinI'm a british traveller with a Chinese wife. I'm mostly located in China and I speak the language.
Hunchun is near to Russia and most of the guests were Russian.
Some of the staff can speak a few words of Russian but not much. And no English!
The Hotel itself is modern, clean and very technically equipped.
The toilet seat is heated, and it flushes itself. The shower took a bit of working out, but once I had mastered it, it was possibly the best shower I'd had in years.
The shower is partitioned from the rest of the toilet, which isn't always the case in China.
There's an AI person who greets you in Chinese when you enter, but we couldn't work out what the purpose of this was. It didn't understand English and my wife couldn't get a lot of sense out of it in Chinese.
But everything else worked, including the curtains which opened and closed remotely.
The TV was large and of an excellent quality. The bed was firm, but not hard like some Chinese beds can be, and we slept very comfortably.
The breakfast was OK, but nothing special. My wife and I are diabetic, so we avoid sweet things.
Although there was plenty of meat, vegetables and eggs to keep us going for the day, there was only sweetened coffee, sweetened milk tea and I think sweetened soy milk, in the drinks machine.
We managed to get plain hot water out of the machine, but there was only paper cups provided, which was a disappointment considering the price we'd paid and the excellent standard of everything else.
I would suggest a coffee machine and milk available at breakfast, and maybe a hot water urn and some tea bags.
And some proper cups!
I think a place of such good quality deserves a bit more of a variety of food. It was OK, but not great. Disappointing.
For people on a low budget (like we were) one should bear in mind that the location isn't very central and it's a bus ride and a 25 minute walk, from the high speed rail station.
Taxis are not very expensive but we don't have much money so we got local buses which are not very frequent.
So I consider the location to be the most disappointing aspect of this hotel.
Everything else was either fine, or excellent.
We would definitely consider going there again in the future.
It was also the only hotel that has allowed us the late checkout which I've been promised by Trip.com.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and both the environment and service are excellent. I've always loved the color scheme in the rooms. The surrounding amenities are very comprehensive, with a mall and department store right downstairs, all conveniently located.

The front desk staff were very patient during check-in, the process was smooth, and they proactively introduced the hotel amenities and local travel tips. Every staff member we met along the way greeted us warmly, and requests were handled very quickly. The butler was attentive and thoughtful, helping us coordinate solutions while striking the perfect balance without being overly intrusive—it made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The guest room was exceptionally well-maintained, spacious, and meticulously clean. The bedding was soft and clean, the soundproofing was great, and we had a very peaceful sleep at night. The bathroom had stable water pressure, and the toiletries were of high quality. The public areas were kept very tidy, and the breakfast offered a rich variety with fantastic flavors. Overall, it lacks the flashy feel of over-marketing; it's a genuinely high-quality vacation experience. Solid hardware, heartwarming service, and thoughtful touches everywhere. It's perfect for both leisure getaways and short trips. Highly recommended! I will definitely choose to stay here again next time and look forward to my next visit.
