I was very satisfied with my stay this time! The room was spotless, the bedding was soft, and I had a great rest. The front desk service was warm and friendly, and check-in was quick and thoughtful. The hotel's location is convenient, making dining and getting around very easy, and the environment is quiet and not noisy. Overall, it's great value for money, and you can really feel the attentiveness in their service. I'll definitely consider staying here again on my next trip and highly recommend it to everyone.

Yesterday I was drunk and went to the hotel opposite my work to get an hourly room to rest. The purpose of rest was to work better. After sleeping all morning, I was resurrected with full blood in the afternoon and could work hard again. Overall the hotel is quite quiet and the facilities are relatively old, but the advantage is that it is close to the company, just opposite the unit.

The food at the hotel was excellent, and there were so many activities to enjoy. The VIP queue experience was also great. From a value-for-money perspective, even though it was expensive, I felt it was totally worth it. However, there were a few minor shortcomings: 1. A very small number of staff members tried to shirk responsibility. When we first returned to the hotel from Xiangshawan, the waiting area was completely empty. A drowsy older gentleman told us to just get on the next jeep that arrived. As soon as the jeep pulled up, about a dozen people appeared, led by a female staff member. She immediately started bossing us around, saying it was for *them* and that we should go queue up. I was quite annoyed and said that when we arrived, there was no one here, and now that *they* have arrived, we're suddenly told to queue up, meaning we'd be stuck behind these dozen-plus people and God knows how long we'd have to wait. Seeing my strong tone, this female staff member simply said, ”I don't know,” shrunk her neck, and stayed silent. She made no effort to help us or manage the other group, acting as if we should just sort it out ourselves. Fortunately, another vehicle arrived quickly, and the driver was excellent, immediately saying there was space for everyone and that there were plenty of cars. If it weren't for the good driver, and me being tired, I would have definitely noted down the employee number of that staff member who was so aggressive at first but then immediately cowered and dodged responsibility when faced with someone assertive. 2. The wait time for the small train shuttle to and from the room was very long. I suggest informing guests how long the wait will be. The first time we left, it arrived in about 2 minutes, so I assumed it would always be quick. The second time, I waited for ten minutes and it still hadn't arrived. Only after calling again was I told it would be another five minutes. I recommend informing guests of the expected wait time during the initial booking to help them decide whether to continue waiting. Furthermore, the so-called QR code reservation system was not user-friendly at all. You couldn't note the number of people, it didn't show how many people were ahead of you, and I didn't see any time advantage. I specifically took a photo of the QR code and made a reservation while I was in the lobby, but when I went upstairs, I was still behind people who only reported their room numbers to the staff *after* arriving upstairs. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I definitely plan to come back in the summer.

The hotel’s location was very convenient — it’s right next to some of Hohhot’s major hospitals, which made getting around quite easy. The room was clean, and although there was no central heating, the air conditioner provided enough warmth. Our room faced the main road, so it was a bit noisy at times. Also, there was no mini-bar/fridge in the room, which was a bit inconvenient. Communication with the staff was slightly challenging since they don’t speak English, but we managed. Overall, it was a decent stay with good cleanliness and a convenient location.

I had a pleasant stay at this place. The rooms and facilities were very clean, and the manager was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The service was also friendly and attentive. Although the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, the food was tasty and enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel was not overcrowded, which made the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Overall, I had a very good experience and would be happy to stay here again. The room was spotless, and the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied; the lamb shaomai was particularly authentic, and the lamb offal soup was absolutely delicious – highly recommend both! What truly stood out was the genuine and professional service team. From the warm milk the housekeeping auntie discreetly replenished daily to the help with planning my travel itinerary, every little detail exuded a heartwarming, 'home-like' feeling. Upon check-out, the front desk even gave me a souvenir gift, a thoughtful gesture that instantly melted away any travel fatigue. Xin Cheng Hotel isn't just a place to rest; it's a living cultural museum. It tells stories through its architecture, conveys local charm through its cuisine, and embodies warmth through its service. It allows every guest to experience the vastness and gentleness of Hohhot amidst the hustle and bustle. I will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

Sheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot! Food & Drink 🫖 This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinker’s dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house. Location 📍 This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotel’s recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well. The Room 🛌 The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided. Staff 👩⚕️ The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream. This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

The service is okay for the price, but its location is very convenient as it’s located near the city centre and near the subway entrance.

The overall stay exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding and bathroom were impeccably maintained. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service. The room had good soundproofing, and the facilities were well-maintained and functional. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel.

This was my first time staying in a family room, and as soon as I walked in, I felt the layout was very convenient. The front desk lady checked me in quickly and gave clear directions when I asked how to get around. It was also easy to get a taxi from here or go to the East Station 🙂 The room was comfortable to stay in. The bedding was neatly made, felt very soft to the touch, and both the pillows and duvet were clean and dry. I slept really well at night, and the soundproofing was good too; outside noises barely bothered me at all 😌 The gym was a pleasant surprise. It was clean and bright, and the equipment was sufficient for a daily workout. It was very convenient to go and get some exercise after a long journey, and it didn't feel stuffy in there 🏋️ The breakfast variety was richer than I expected, with both hot and cold options, all tasty. Overall, my stay was very hassle-free, suitable for family trips or an overnight stopover 😊
