"POS: very central location 50 mtr from casino and beach; historical building with old charm; quite big but with a family atmosphere; (my) room recently renovated; pleasant bar area; quiet; considering location reasonably priced.
NEG: elavator super slow, tiny and shaky at times (7 floors); bathroom good but shower itself clumsy; staff could use some extra training ＞ in 4 days' stay there was always something not done or missing, and worst of all in spite of plenty of mgmt messages to save energy, in 2/4 days we came back late night and aircon had been switched on (by staff, not us), on a day it was barely 20 degrees, meaning complete waste of energy, and cost."

"The best hotel in Brugge( which deserves a 5 star). We had a great experience from the start (location), check in, stay and check out. It's a beautiful historical building in the centre of Brugge at a perfect location to the sightseeings. Beautiful building with an monumental and a new/modern part.
The lighting, style of the hallway and the rooms are very nice. Everything was perfect.
The breakfast is an absolute must if you stay here. We loved and enjoyed everything about it and lots to choose from. Employees are very nice, helpful, kind and very professional. This will be our 'must stay' hotel in Brugge from now on."

"Great location. For parking, I used the train station parking lot across from the hotel, which cost a very reasonable 7€ for the day. The staff was welcoming and handled the non-functioning air conditioning in my room very well. Since no other rooms were available, they offered me a breakfast voucher, which was much appreciated."

"Very convenient location for the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is a period building and thus lacks some of the facilities available in a more modern hotel, such as a lift. The room was spacious and well equipped, but the bed was very uncomfortabel. It comprised 2 single mattresses side by side with a propensity for a gap to form in the centre. Further, the height between the 2 differed forming a ”ledge”. The quality of the towels was very poor - they were thin and discoloured.
Finally, the situation beside the canal is not ideal in mosquito season. My wife and I were very badly bitten. There is little that the hotel can do to eliminate them, but it would be sensible to warn all guests to keep doors and windows closed."

"Hotel to be recommended
Excellent experience, fantastic breakfast with a view, very attentive staff, very adequate (basic) room (the large ones must be great), very pleasant, almost luxurious environment, full of little touches, like chocolates on arrival, and a triple socket to plug all devices in one place. A place I will return to."

"The hotel itself is stunning, and the staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. However, the room had a couple of minor issues. The shower head wouldn’t stay centered, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor. Additionally, the hair dryer malfunctioned, turning on and off randomly. Since I was only staying one night, I didn’t request a room change, but it was inconvenient. Despite these issues, I would stay here again because the main hotel facilities and staff were excellent."

"The hotel was spacious and clean compared to the price and location. The bed for the parents was quite firm, I had a really good sleep on it! The ones for the kids in the bunk bed a tad bit too soft. Breakfast was good with healthy options.
Skip the expensive hotel parking and use the drop off area for your suitcases and continue to park your car at Pandreitje parking, it’s just a 5 minute walk.
Downsides: the toilet seat didn’t have soft close, and that’s noisy. There’s no fridge in the room. The AC could only adjust temperature and on/off; so no controlling of direction or wind speed even though it was a split unit system. One morning I got to the shower at 6am, and the water was cold all the way through - perhaps because was the first one to get the pipes running that morning?"

Guest UserLocation a 10-minute walk from the city. You can park in a garage about a 4-minute walk away. The staff is very friendly. Upon arrival, there was a box of chocolates, and upon departure, we received cookies. The room could have been cleaner; there were still hairs in the bathtub. Breakfast was fine but nothing special.

Guest UserMy bunkbed didn’t have a curtain so I asked to change at reception. Unfortunately, I was changed to a bunkbed next to the door which was unnecessarily loud. On my last night there there was also a constant beeping that everyone complained about.
It’s a clean hostel with a pub, which was pretty cool. My room was in a building separate to the pub. The kitchen was great with a cute outside area to eat.
It’s a bit of a walk to the train station but there are buses.

The hotel is located in the old town of Bruges, making it very convenient for getting around. Just a heads-up: the entrance is right on a cobblestone street, so I wouldn't recommend bringing very heavy luggage.
The hotel's common areas are quite stylish, but the rooms feel a bit dated.
Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and high-quality options.
The biggest downside was the extremely low shower pressure in the rooms on the first floor (second floor for Americans). It made showering quite uncomfortable and chilly. I've seen other reviews mention the shower pressure issue, so I'm not sure if it's a widespread problem or just in certain rooms.
