Ride Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain to enjoy sweeping panoramic scenery of snow-capped mountain ranges during the ascent. Then we visit the Hoodoos rock formations above the Bow River, followed by Bow Falls. Dark rock cliffs stand against rushing white river water for stunning natural contrast. From Surprise Corner, guests can admire distant views of Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and Bow River. Afterwards, explore the castle-style Fairmont Banff Springs, where guests may choose to enjoy French bistro lunch at their own expense. Next is Johnston Canyon, one of the top three famous canyons in the Rockies, with a gentle trail alongside rushing waterfalls. Should Johnston Canyon be shut for maintenance or unexpected force majeure, it will be replaced with Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake. We make a quick stop at Banff Town before returning to Calgary. Note: Hoodoos is closed until July 1, and will be replaced with Vermilion Lakes for about 15 minutes. 10:00Attraction ![]() Banff Gondola 8.6 No. 1 of Best Things to Do in Banff National Park5.0/5 (Includes adult & child tickets) ![]() Sulphur Mountain 5.8 No. 5 of Best Things to Do in Banff National Park4.6/5 (no tickets required) Activity duration: approx. 1 hr 30 mins 12:00Attraction ![]() No photos yet Hoodoos Viewpoint 3.1 (Appearance) ![]() Bow Falls 6.4 3.7/5 (Appearance) ![]() Surprise Corner Viewpoint 5.9 3.5/5 (Appearance) Activity duration: approx. 45 mins 13:00Lunch(not included for adults and children) Visit the Scottish castle-style Fairmont Banff Springs and stop for a meal (at your own expense, optional French bistro-style meal available).
