Inside reflects the outside: rustic inspired & clean. Everything is in good repair (no areas needing repair that we saw) & pristinely clean. We didn't see a speck of dust anywhere! Though there is no elevator (only 2 floors), it was easy to call the front desk after booking to request a 1st floor room. When we checked in a few days later, Dan at the front desk was so pleasant, friendly, helpful, & accommodating. He confirmed that we were assigned a 1st floor room (close to the lobby even, which I prefer) & double checked that it was ready since we arrived a bit before regular check-in time. We were prepared to wait in the lobby till check-in, but only had to wait maybe 5 min. The hotel was comfortable & our room was actually chilly - a bonus in this Iowa summer heat & humidity (91-felt like 109 said the news). We could have easily changed the temp, but it was perfect for sleeping & cuddling up watching TV. The bathroom was spacious without being impractical & the water pressure was ridiculous (aka terrific) with plenty of hot water for us! The bed was crisply made & comfortable. We both had an amazing night's sleep. There was a good sized desk with comfortable rolly chair, a comfortable oversized armchair, pot-less coffee maker, fridge, microwave, dresser & armoire as well as a nice sized TV. The thing that struck us the most about the room was how quiet it was! Though it was busy, had families with kids, & we were only 1 room from the lobby, when the room door shut, we heard NOTHING outside the room, not even the semi traffic on either of the 4 lane roads going by the hotel! We never did make it to swim in the pool, but did see some families enjoying it & they said the water was refreshingly cool. The 24/7 coffee bar also had hot water & 6 tea bag options. Breakfast was well stocked & had plentiful options: waffles, yogurt, pre-peeled hard boiled eggs, apples, mini donuts, muffins, oatmeal packets, cold cereal, milk, juice, sausage patties, egg disks (like what you find on breakfast sandwiches), bagels, cream cheese, PB, & assorted jellies. Most offerings had a choice or 2 (powdered sugar or chocolate donuts; 3 bagel flavors). This was competitively priced, a block off of I29, & with the hotel as the center of a 3 block radius, there is (in no particular order) a 24 hr McDonalds, Popeye's chicken, KFC chicken, Fazoli's, Culver's, Taco Bell, Taco Johns, a steakhouse, a nice Indian sit-down restaurant, a casual Mexican restaurant, 2 small ***** malls, a Dollar Tree, Walmart w/ gas station, Sam's club w/ member's only gas station, & a Pilot truck stop. According to my gas app, those 3 are consistently in the top 5 lowest priced stations in the entire Sioux City area as well! The only things I can come up with to complain about? I wish bananas were a breakfast option, & it would be nice if both nightstands had a lamp & available outlets instead of just the 1 side. Luckily we travel with power banks & extra charging cords just in

The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The lobby and room were clean. The location is great. It really is within walking distance of food and shopping. The free breakfast was ok. There was not much of a selection, but there was a waffle maker. I would stay here again. I am adding that I felt safe as I am looking for that when I check reviews of other hotels. I felt safe because the staff was attentive. I did not worry about my vehicle either. The parking lot is small and close to the building.

Room seemed fine initially. Small but adequate since all we needed was a nights sleep. Didn't even check in til almost 11pm. But then I tried to get into the bathroom and it was stuck. Had to use alot of force to open/close and the door jammed at the bottom and it started falling apart. Then, went to shower and had no shmp/cond or soap so I had to run down myself to get it. But the kicker was the balled up wad of hair, that was NOT ours, in the top corner of the shower. From there, it just makes you question everything about the place, regardless of how friendly the staff was. Told the guy at check out and all he said was OK. Thank you. With no apology or anything. Needless to say, corporate will be called.
Quality Inn Indianola

The staff was friendly, the hotel was quiet and everything appeared in working order. I was concerned reading previous reviews but other places in Indianola were twice the price. For a one-night business stay I had a big desk and well lit room and good wireless connectivity. Continental breakfast was on par with what one expects. Maybe not all the fancy bells and whistles, but I had no issues with my stay.

If I could have given this negative stars I would have! This was the filthiest place I have EVER stayed! If it wasn't for the fact that we had brought all of our stuff in, and I wasn't feeling well, we would have left! There was soap scum and hair in the bath tub, ant/roach motels laying around, scum running down the bathroom door; one of the lights needed repair/replacement; there wasn't a bulb in one of the lights; the smoke detector was covered; refrigerator was missing the freezer container; microwave just needed to be replaced, it was FILTHY, and had rust running down the inside; the air freshener was an empty Glade Automatic Air freshener that was held onto the wall by zip ties, and since there wasn't a can inside, the gears just grinded from time to time; doors and cabinets were in terrible shape; the walls are so thin, that I heard an entire conversation next door at 2am when 4 drunks got back from partying! This establishment allows dogs, that you can hear barking throughout the hotel, in your room! And to top it off the ceiling is sinking!! You can actually see where they have been patching around a load bearing beam! We ended up sleeping in our clothes, on top of the blankets because we weren't positive the sheets were clean! And as far as breakfast? We grabbed McDonald's!

I was so very impressed by this Super 8. The grounds/landscaping were well-done and maintained, the building layout was not at all like a ”typical” Super 8, more like a higher-end line of hotels, the furnishings were in excellent shape, the room was clean (even in the corners). A very pleasant experience overall

I stayed there last year and it was in bad shape. I was told the hotel was going to be remodeled and asked me to return this year. I agreed. Arrived on 9/12/24. No toilet paper and room looked like the floor wasn’t cleaned. Got up the next morning ready to shower and noticed there was no shower curtain. I wasn’t going to get dressed and go to office to find a curtain as I would be late fir the convention I was attending. Went ahead with shower & then started cleaning up water. Moved the trash can and the floor was filthy. The bath mat was also dirty. The mini refrigerator had chocolate or something inside. Got dressed and went to office. Wound up with another room with 2 double beds instead of the small “queen “ bed that I had -it wasn’t much cleaner than the previous one. At least there was toilet paper and shower curtain. The office did say for me not to worry-they wouldn’t charge me for the extra bed…well thanks a lot!!!! I feel they should have refunded my money. I WILL NOT EVER STAY THERE AGAIN and would NEVER recommend it.

I so dearly appreciated each and every staff member for their caring to make my stay perfect. The hotel is so good I worry that the next time I want to stay it will be fully occupied, a grand place, a grand location, and the BEST staff anywhere.

So I have stayed here a number of times and I often travel 50-60 nights a year. This particular Super 8 is consistently clean, well maintained, has a good breakfast, nice pool, and ALWAYS honors the Wyndham DIAMOND upgrade if they have a suite available. Their customer service is great and they check you in quickly. Another excellent stay. I give it 5 stars based on the fact that it meets or exceeds my expectations in the class of hotel it is - budget friendly national chain. It is not being compared to the Waldorf Astoria.

Totally sold out (no other rooms available) weekend (local football game) and room had no water to either the shower or toilet. The sink worked. When management was contacted, I was told to wait five days for the manager to get back to me. No call, so I called again. Told that ”missed manager by 10 minutes.” and then was told the toilet and shower worked just fine. Yeah, right. Carpet was gross feeling. Room refrigerator froze everything. Burn marks on furniture and carpet. Linens had unclean looking spots. Cost $200 for two nights. Rip off
