Red Roof Inn Cortland

We stayed here for 2 nights, along with our baseball family, for a tournament. The location was good. It was right off the exit and about 13 minutes from the field. Staff was super nice and helpful. Room 107 has an issue with toilet flushing occasionally and they were willing to move us but we kept trying and it finally flushed. So we stayed. The room was basic but nice with the laminate wood floor. Beds were ok, but the pillows were not. What was surprising nice was housekeeping did refresh your room daily, which we were not expecting. Since COVID hit, the other major hotel brands do not do that anymore. Otherwise it was fine for what we needed.
Holiday Inn Express Cortland

I have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels and am always satisfied-not too expensive, basic, standard, good. But this one in Cortland appears to skimp a bit. The water in the bathroom sink gets warm but not hot. The water in the shower gets hot but not enough. The shower stream is like that of a sink or tub - very old shower head and because of this it flodds the floor. You can tell this is a long standing problem because the caulking is off on the wall where the water flows out. Even the trash cans seem a little smaller as are the shampoo and conditioner. There is no long bureau to place all of your stuff, there was no luggage rack and there is a card table size table in the corner with a chair, three bath towels not four, etc. For a couple traveling it felt skimpy. But to be positive the staff greeted us warmly were polite the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Not a bad place but could use some enhancements.
HomeTowne Studios & Conference Center Cortland

It is a brand new hotel with pure American design. The two-story building room is large and the bed is large. The bathroom is big enough. There is also a huge refrigerator in the room. Microwave. There is a hand wash sink. Parking is free. It is the best choice in this town. There is a KFC or McDonald's behind the hotel? The road is across from a small shopping mall, with everything, you can buy fruit and ice cream. The old town center of the town has to drive for a few minutes, but it is currently being repaired and there is no one in sight.
Quality Inn Cortland - University Area

So, my husband and I are die hard Comfort Inn/Quality Inn/Clarion Inn fans - and we had stayed in this hotel about a year ago. To say this was disappointing (and a little disturbing) is an understatement. Unclean ~ it is really is substandard at best. The hallways did not see a vacuum (or it isn't working properly) over my entire stay (of 2 days). The hallway carpet had pieces of it missing, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the hallway as well. Lighting left something to be desired and I was put at the end of a dark hall. I was put in Room 123 first. Wow, just wow (and not in a good way). There was a black mildew in the toilet boil (obviously had not been cleaned in weeks). It had not been vacuumed and the microwave was lopsided (looked like the feet had been stolen off one end). It had an odor, not sure exactly what it was - perhaps the mold in the toilet bowl? It was sensory overload (all the noticeable issues) that I called corporate. They told me it would take time to refund my money (didn't say how long), and that they could book me in the Clarion Inn (next door), but I would have to pay for that immediately - (no transfer of reservation) and that they wanted me to talk to the front desk. I was concerned about not getting a refund on the room and then paying for another room (had issues like that happen in the past with another hotel chain, so I was unwilling to take that chance). I called the front desk and I was offered another room (across the hall) - room 124. This room was a bit better (I accepted it because by now it was late and I didn't want to have to pay twice for this weekend without assurances that I would be fully refunded). This room had mold stains on the ceiling and it also had an odor (though, not as offensive as the first room). Room # 2 had the slowest flushing toilet ever to a point where I thought I was going to have to call front desk again. Due to travelling alone - it being late - and my being exhausted (from a full days activities) - I made the best of it. There was another gentleman also being re-assigned a room last night at the same time as I called the front desk (on the first floor) and I overheard him comment to someone he was talking to on his phone. I would not recommend this hotel to solo female travelers. I really felt uncomfortable here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness. They really need to have quality control - or a ”mystery guest” who can assess their level of service/care. It was lacking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects dated to be at least maintained. Mold, stained ceilings, missing pieces of carpet, and peeling wallpaper. I realize this is a 2 star hotel - so I did not go into this expecting a Marriott. I do manage my expectations! However, the quality at the Quality Inn has gone down hill markedly. Here's another thing I noticed. During the day the parking lot was EMPTY while the nearby hotels (bett

The breakfast is very simple, it is available until 9 o'clock, there is a parking lot, it is basically a night here. Check-in and check-out is very quick, with a total of two floors and no lift.
